The hotel is super close to the train station, with clear signs right after exiting — it's very easy to find. The hotel is located in a courtyard area, slightly uphill. When we arrived at the gate, we happened to meet a staff member who kindly offered to drive our luggage up for us. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. On the ground floor, there are common facilities including free coffee, water, a large fridge, and a microwave, which made it convenient for us to prepare a simple breakfast with groceries from the nearby supermarket. Although there’s no air conditioning in the room, it stayed very cool and comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here — highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Sonnhof in Bad Ischl! The location is absolutely perfect—just a very short walk from the train station, which made arriving and getting around so easy. The guesthouse has a beautiful garden that’s perfect for relaxing, especially on a sunny day. I also really appreciated the self-service area where you can enjoy tea and coffee anytime—it’s such a thoughtful touch. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a warm smile. I truly felt at home and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel location is great. It gives you privacy and at the same time you are located in the heart of the city. There is charming garden on the hotel territory, hotel furnishings is also interesting. It is a mixture of styles and antic items, I will definitely remember it! The rooms are clean, you get white bed linen and white towels! There is no breakfast in the hotel, but guests are allowed to use public kitchen and dining areas for a self service, coffee machine and tea is available too. Hosting family is very friendly and helpful. Would be glad to return! .

This is a very beautiful house with collection from all over the world. It also includes flat wood floor with sunlight and greenery for yoga lover. It is near the station( just across the street of the main station ) but very tranquil and quiet. Really love it’s location and unique decoration

1. There is noise leak due to the wooden floor and it’s partition. One might hear next door’s travelers’ voice. But this is very minor problem considering all it’s benefits. We directly talked to our neighbor to lower down the voice. 2 Coffee is very nice even though breakfast is not included.

Fantastic location right next to train station and easy walk to restaurants. Very comfortable stay with access to garden and kitchen to make tea / coffee whenever I pleased. There was a fridge on my floor as well which was useful. Loved sitting on the balcony in the evenings. If ever in Bad Ischl again I would absolutely stay there again!

Single room fairly small in comparison to the double rooms but still very comfortable.

This nice hotel is surrounded by a beautiful and interesting garden. It is near all the sights and very close to the train station. If you come by train and have heavy luggage you should stay here. Price wise this hotel is very good for Bad Ischl and the area .The hotel is clean. There are nice tables to sit and enjoy the garden. Coffee and tea are free all day long. The staff is very informative. Each day my room was cleaned perfectly.

Unfortunately, no breakfast is available. There is a nice cafe in the train station and others near by.

Such a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing hotel and it feels like home. Very well located with an amazing Staff. Christian was friendly and recommended some great places to eat and visit. Overall one of the best stays I've had for a while now.

Best location when u travel by bus, metro Big room, seperated wc Short walk to town, the town is very beautiful Complimentary tea and coffee, they have nice pantry and dining place but no restaurant. Big balcony.

Wifi in the room is terrible, barely wifi at all in my room The hotel is on their own hill so if u walk with luggage, be prepared Shower stall is seperated and no window above so it's a bit windy ;)))

The location is bang outside the station. But it's a heritage home converted to a quasi hotel quasi bnb. High quality. It's got great old word charm and a botique feel. We stayed in room 19 and it was the best among our hotels in our 15 day Austria trip. The hosts Christian and family are really great.

On the pricier side for no breakfast provided, but the facilities and design of the place are really lovely - and there is a well-equiped communal kitchen with a great selection of free teas and coffees. And the location is incredible, 100m from the train/bus station and a super short walk into town. And yoga mats! (and space to do it). We really enjoyed our stay here, it felt like a treat.
