The location was fantastic! The hotel restaurant was closed on the day we were there (Monday) but that was not a problem. We had planned to eat at Wirtshaus am See anyways and it did not disappoint! There was a super low key beach bar we had a few drinks at while our two boys played soccer. There is also a playground for smaller children, a putt putt course, paddleboat rental, etc… In the morning, the bike/pedestrian trail was perfect for a nice run (I knocked out a 10k and the trails just keep going and going). Breakfast was splendid. There were a ton of options; cheeses, leberkäse, breads, yogurts, juices, etc.. absolutely delicious! All four of us were happy!

Reception lady was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Location is amazing, especially for visiting Opera. Design, style, cleanliness of amenities and room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast variety was good.

Cleaning stuff knocked when sign “do not disturb” was on the door, asking us to leave the room at 10 am, even though checkout time is at 12. It was confusing. You can hear party noise at late hours (after opera) but it was not too disturbing.

Booked a junior suite several months in advance which wasn’t available when we arrived. Gave us two interconnecting double rooms instead and mini bars in both rooms for free to make up for the inconvenience (and presumably the cost difference). No explanation as to why our booked room wasn’t available though. Parking was extra and quite high.

The hotel and the room were very clean. The room and bathroom were big enough and beds were comfy. Staff was very polite and friendly, we even got complementary drinks since it was my birthday. Location very close to the city and the lake. Air conditioning worked which was great since it was very hot outside. The hotel offers also paid outside parking but we chose to use the big public parking next to it which was cheaper.

nice hotel at the lake side - so close to the open air opera/theatre, with a pretty lovely breakfast, so easy to go for a nice walk just outside of it.

there was theater on that night and we could hear it and really had no clue what was going on, but a quick call to the front desk and we got ear plugs and it was all good. also the parking outside was bit nuts, so busy and we did not know where we could even park and it was bit confusing. but the staff explained it to us later and we were able to park our car.

This hotel is in a perfect location for anyone attending the Bregenz Festival. It is steps from the train station and steps from the festival venues. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. We did not take the costly breakfast, but we had a nice lunch on the terrace.

The cost is excessive for the quality of the hotel and what it offers. It is a comfortable, but not luxury hotel by any means, but the cost (at least during the Festival) was double what it should have been.

The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful.

We would have liked a bit more of a view from the balcony - looked straight into a tree, saw only leaves. The weight machine in the gym seemed to not be working properly. The gym was very warm as the door to the swimming pool was almost always open.

Everything was ok. The hotel is located among parks and Bodensee so provides a great opportunity for a stroll. Rooms are comfortable with very nice beds. Breakfast was diverse and very tasty.

Just next door to the hotel is a casino and the whole parking in front of the hotel is dedicated to casino guests. The hotel parking is located 100m from the hotel entry.

Very nice hotel, room was specious and clean, bathroom had enough toiletries (L'occitane), location was amazing with great walks near by and lake is a min away. Both hotel and area are dog friendly.

I saw reviews regarding cigarette smell – when we entered the room, the smell was there but I think it comes from probably joint ventilation with Casino. All you have to do is open window for 2 min.

The location is SUPER EASY. If you are traveling by train and you want to go to the casino and the opera, this is the perfect space. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. One night we had drinks at the bar and the our server was very accommodating of my cocktail requests. We had breakfast one day and I'd say it was both delicious and relatively expensive. Overall the service was fantastic. Oh and the lake is pretty and conveniently walkable. Thank you Grand Hotel Bregenz!!

Frankly, I felt underdressed. We were traveling in summer and I did not bring any fancy clothes. This seems like a fancy pants kind of place, where you might dress like 007 or a soprano diva. We were just the trashy-casual Americans. Sorry about that, Grand Hotel. Also, we did not go to the casino or the opera, which I feel was a missed opportunity. Definitely plan ahead!
