We were very satisfied with everything our stay offered - great accommodation and a pleasant atmosphere. However, we were very disappointed and unpleasantly surprised by the behavior of the receptionist at the end of our stay. When my parents and I were getting ready to leave, the receptionist approached us and started shouting at us that check-out was already over and that we shouldn't stay any longer. Her behavior was very inappropriate and unprofessional, which completely spoiled our otherwise pleasant stay. We understand that we delayed our check-out by 20 minutes, but the form in which this fact was communicated to us, was very unpleasant and inadequate.

Nice and clean property, in the room was warm, balcony had Mountain View; our room half was to the forest and little bit of mountains with snow. Breakfast was nice, simple, but enough to be fair. Location it’s good, one hour to drive from Salzburg and about 20 minutes from Hallstatt. Ski resort it’s very close, about 5-10 minutes drive. The place did have a lot of guests, bar in the reception area with drinks and some food and tables. Sauna was nude. Near sauna , In the relaxation area you have tea and water. Sauna operates from 3pm till 9pm. In the morning was quiet, I did not hear other guests walking or anything, which I really like, as I’m not a morning person. Outside it’s also nove view, with some tables and chairs. You also have option for dinner if you prefer.

Will be good if there will be kettle in the room, as they did not had any.

Fabulous and convenient location, from the balcony rooms you have gorgeous views of the mountains, valley, and 2 churches. Breakfast was convenient and standard. Good WiFi to get work done if needed. Wake up before sunrise to visit the 2 churches on the hill in Gosau then walk around for a fabulous view and sunrise. I was all alone and it was so serene (hot take, I enjoyed it 100 times more than visiting Hallstatt for the church view).

The rooms have a very simple modern wood finishing. The photos make it look great, but in person feels a little cheap (but for the price this is to be expected). Overall would stay again though.

I also loved the spa area—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. All in all, this hotel delivered a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway!

We visit Gosau for second time but we stayed in COOEE hotel for first time. We really enjoyed the stay - hotel is located in picturescque valey - surrounded by mountains and small rivers nearby. Place is very quiet and perfect for relax. Hotel itself has all needed facilities - we are family with 3 kids and we stayed in double room with connection door inside. Rooms are big and cozy, very comfy beds. Breakfast was just perfect and we also dined in the restaurant of the hotel - block table dining with some nice touches of local kitchen. There was also spacious parking place (free of charge).

Everything was perfect. We will stay longer next time.

This is a very good place to stay if you are visiting the region around Lake Hallstatt. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely appointed. I found the hotel staff extremely kind and helpful. The price was less than I expected... Will definatly return to this hotel for next visit.

Location was perfect. Room was clean and view from the room was mesmerizing. There is indoor playroom for the kids which was so interesting for those with kids. Breakfast was okay i just hope there is scrambled egg at least.

Asked from the cleaning staff an iron (Bügeleisen), but he couldn’t understand English and Deutsch (the national language)?? I mean, what language should i use? (And both aren’t my mother tongue). The misunderstood took so much time and i was in hurry and we ended up google image for him.

Convenient location to travel to Gosau lake and Hallstatt (by car, but there are also buses, from what we've seen). Traveling with 2 dogs we appreciated very much that the hotel is very dog friendly (we were allowed to bring our furry friends to the dining area near the bar for all the meals, since there's a pet free area right next to the buffet, and they are separated, so no one is disturbing anyone, there's plenty of space). Breakfasts and dinners were pretty good with a decent variety of options, we stayed for 4 days, and were not bored with meals. Drinks except for tap water are for extra payment (which is to be expected). The room had all the basic stuff and a very nice mountain view. The area around the hotel is also quite nice, but it's a small town, so don't expect much entertainment there :) The hotel is following the sustainability policy (which is great), so be aware that the room won't have any extra amenities like slippers, paper tissues, etc., so make sure you bring some of your own unless you are fine with buying such things being on a trip. The staff fulfilled all our requests in a fast and efficient way.

Wi-Fi signal was very weak, but that's not an issue if you have data on your mobile. The room is a bit small for 2 people and 2 dogs, but for a short trip it was manageable. Unrelated to the hotel, but something that travelers might find helpful: at least in the low season (end of November) many restaurants in that area are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, you still can find options where to eat (for instance, COOEE also has a la carte lunch which is quite good), but generally they will be quite limited, and not all the cafes will be dog friendly unlike in Prague, for example. Seehotel Gruner Baum restaurant in Hallstatt is the one we can recommend.

The location is wonderful, in a very nice little village quite close to Hallstatt( 10 minutes away by car, but there is a bus stop close as well). The room is big enough, we had a wonderful view of the mountains. As we travelled with our 4 year old, I must mention there was a play room in the hotel and also a playground behind the hotel( separate from it). Wonderful breakfast and dinner. The price for dinner is 25.5 euros and the drinks are not included, both even tap water.

Even though we paid for a room for 3 persons, 2 adults and one child, and she slept in the same bed, it was quite uncomfortable for her in the middle. The bed is made from two attached singles, and the middle is very very lumpy.
