The location is very convenient right in the center next to the landmark church. Rooms are comfortable with superb views.

Staff, esp in the restaurant, not very friendly. I was dispensing a coffee while the staff saw the spill made by someone earlier and started voicing his displeasure. Another staff when asked if I could sit at the restaurant balcony to take a photo (because the door to balcony is open) only replied strong and loud NO with rude gesture. We are paying this rate for the experience, not just the room.

The hotel is situated right in the town, just 200m away is the famous scenic photospot of hallstat, room is spacious, hot water shower is hot and water preassure is good. Bed mattress is comfortable with great lake view. Halstatt provide free shuttle to our hotel if u arrive before 7pm, upon 7pm u need to contact the property to send their own shuttle which we call them as we arrive at 7pm, and the shuttle was quick to pick us up to hotel check in. Out hotel building is situated not together with the main building but the staff (the one who drove shuttle us to hotel) helped with the luggage moving and it makes the process much more convenient. Since, everything in hallstat close at 5pm, we still manage to catch good dinner at the hotel restaurant, the grilled trout and chicken schnitzel taste really good. And restaurant staff is helpful when we ask some info about hallstat

We are not in main building and we cannot enjoy the facilities and we are check in into the third building and it is quite far from reception. It tooks us about 5 minutes walking, but luckily they have staff helping u to move luggage. The staff at reception was not too helpful because we ask about dinner in their restaurant and they just tell us it is fully booked and unable to dine in. We asked if we could tale away and have room service,they just point us to the restaurant to ask by ourself. Eventually we just walk into the restaurant and in fact it is not fully book, many empty seat and we have a great dinner. The next day ask about the shuttle that taking longer to pick us, but the staff was not not friendly and i would say a little rude in responding to us

perhaps the reception staff could be more helpful... we arrived at 6pm, exhausted from travelling and long drive... we have 2 children with us, letting us check in on arrival without insisting on passport would be useful. We already have in hand our booking details. As my husband who was holding the passport have to wait for another shuttle due to limited space, I was alone with my children sitting at the lobby waiting for dont know how long for his arrival.

Location is excellent, close to the ferry pier. It is also close to the view point for viewing the Evangelical Church. In fact we can always see Heritage Hotel appearing on the photo of Evangelical Church, which is a signature photo of Hallstatt. My room offers a nice view of the lake. Great breakfast, with quite a wide range of choices.

A drawback about this hotel, their rooms are not air-conditioned. It seems that air-conditioned hotels are not common in this old town. We stayed here in June. We found it hot and stuffy in the room. Showing their consideration, the hotel provided a small fan in each of our rooms, which greatly helped our sleep at night.

The main building which has reception and restaurant and few rooms, is right at the Ferry Drop-off point. Our building was a Beautiful Heritage property, but the room was modernised based on today’s requirement. Our building 200-300 metres away from the main building due to our specific family room requirement. If you are carrying suitcases, it would be difficult to walk with them, and even more difficult to reach your room in the heritage building as it has no elevator. The lady who took our Check-in was extremely helpful and very courteous. She guided us very well and her recommendations were bang on, including her guidance on time management while doing site seeing. I am sorry as I do t remember her name.

The refrigerator was hardly cooling anything.

Modern but welcoming style - beautiful view of lake from the restaurant - breakfast was fabulous with many many choices including kaiserschmarrn (traditional Austrian chopped pancake). Dinner was also exceptional

No real lounge or bar area to speak of just a couple of nooks, but you are very welcome to sit in the restaurant (with the view) but this is more formal than an armchair ! Our room was in a separate building, which we knew when we booked - however I had assumed it was across the street or courtyard- when it was actually at the other end of the village to the hotel ! Now as it’s only a tiny village it was only a 5 minute walk but had that been clearer on booking I would have likely chosen a room type that was in the main building or the building that is 3 minutes away

I wish I had asked for the name of the girl who worked in the afternoon and evening. She was exceptional. My friend and I really appreciated her help with deciding on our next day's activities.

I didn't like the extra charge on our supper receipt for linens and bread, especially since I asked if the bread was complimentary. Charging, I think, 10 Euros for a tablecloth and 6 pieces of bread sort of wrecked the nice meal we had. I should have read the menu more carefully.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the port. There are three buildings and one of them is a 5-minute walk from the reception. I would recommend choosing building 1 where the restaurant is.

As we arrived and were told that we are located in building 3, a certain Wolfgang got our little luggage and run through the village so fast that my oldest daughter had to run after him while I followed with my other daughter. When we reached the entrance, I told him I would prefer staying in the main building, so he ran back again. This time, we knew the way, so it was no big deal. I don't really know what to make of this welcoming experience. The rest of the stuff was friendly and professional.

The check in staff was extremely helpful, her name is Jelina, although the room wasn't ready she gave us a map, explained us the highlight places to visit. A few hours later we returned and at first the room was not ready but she accommodated our wishes immediately. We had to depart before breakfast next day so she arranged and facilitated packed meals to-go. It was an amazing stay, we did about 22,000 steps and slept like logs the whole night.

There's nothing not to like about the hotel and about hallstatt. An amazing experience The view from the hotel room of the lake is amazing, except at the moment there is a large construction 🚧 crane overshadowing the view.
