The location was excellent just 5 mins walk from the station. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast which had lots of different options including hot food, cold cuts and cheeses, cereal, smoothies, breads, homemade cakes, waffles etc etc.. The twin room was spacious very clean and included a safe for valuables. The shower had good water pressure. We loved that the hotel was right in the centre of the town. We visited a few other local towns and we were so glad that we had chosen to stay in St Johann because it had good transport connections and good restaurants in the town. Can’t wait to return!

Pretty much everything. The staff were just amazing. So friendly and willing to go out of their way, you don’t even need to ask. The staff at breakfast remembered our coffee preferences from the start and the room staff even organised our daughters’ teddy bears on the bed. Belmondo the dog was our favourite staff member. Always there for a cuddle.

My only complaint was the pillows. Flat and some feathers stuck out. The staff gladly gave me extras when I asked and I’m sure would have swapped them if I had mentioned the feathers. I didn’t because really, we were so happy there anyway and I still slept really well in the nice beds.

This is the best hotel in the village, and among the best in the immediate area. Regarding value for money, probably the best in a more extended area including Kirchberg and Kitzbuhel. Breakfast is great, the restaurant is very good, the rooms are well appointed and some room categories are pretty spacious. The spa area is also very nice. Hotel staff are very professional and for the most part helpful. The ski equipment area is clean and large.

Since we're repeat customers, I couldn't help but notice a couple of differences (for the worse) from last year. We were given a worse room than last year even though we booked in the same category (no balcony this year). The Christmas eve dinner, which is complementary (a nice offering by the hotel) was markedly worse than last year. And there is always very little flexibility with late check out. Finally, I understand this is a relatively small hotel, and that is part of its charm, but offering zero help with luggage is a bit problematic. Even locating the luggage trolley can be a challenge (staff helps with that).

I loved my stay at the fabulous Hotel Wirtshaus Post. It’s a very well maintained house with a charming style and modern facilities, like a very inviting wellness area. The guy at the reception was exceptional friendly and supportive. In the price included was a 2-day ticket for local public transportation (wow!). I also enjoyed a very delicious dinner and fabulous breakfast (also included). No doubt I will stay there again when being in St. Johann (which developed meanwhile into a much nicer destination than Kitzbühel).

There is nothing I did not like.

The hotel is well positioned in the center, the rooms are clean and spacious, very well soundproofed, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast varied with vegetables and fruits as well as many delicious local products, much more than 4-star hotels. We arrived late and had a little difficulty finding the parking lot, because the reception was closed, but one of the guys from the bar came with us and was very helpful. Also Daniel, from the reception was very kind and we will definitely come back!

Spacious rooms, great views, fantastic breakfast, nice in-house restaurant and bar, helpful and thoughtful staff!

We were a bit annoyed with a mixup in the reserved rooms, but adorable Jasmin at the reception did her best to address the issue and make sure that we were satisfied with our new rooms!

Communication all the way through was exceptional, located In a beautiful town we should have allowed more time to look around but arrived late and made the most of the hospitality. Food was excellent, bar had a lovely atmosphere and a wide range of of drinks on offer. Will definitely be returning when touring Austria next time. Special mention to Jasmin, you were exceptional.

The hotel was in a perfect location. The room was huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious.

The only complaint we had during our stay is that the lights in the front of the hotel were exceptionally bright and the curtains did not adequately block it out during sleeping hours.

very nice breakfast, spacious room, great wellness center and a pretty great location. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially important for me coming with my dog who was very welcomed and treated nicely by everyone, and even got lots of yummy treats from the staff :)
