Outstanding Experience – Truly Exceptional Service! We had an amazing stay, and I cannot praise the staff enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with professionalism and genuine care by every team member—from security and the front office to housekeeping, room service, and the restaurant staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I’d like to extend a very special thank you to Fahim from the front office team. He was exceptionally generous and accommodating, and his kindness truly made a difference. The entire team constantly checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. During our two week trip in Bangladesh we stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Gulshan on two separate occasions. Both times we experienced exceptional service from all members of staff. We had some issues with one of the rooms in our first stay, however housekeeping resolved this immediately and followed up with us to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The staff at breakfast provided excellent hospitality and ensured our needs were meet, preparing any of special requests we had. Isha in particular was lovely to have a quick chat with in the mornings ! A huge shoutout to front desk, as this was my first visit to Bangladesh in over 20 years naturally we had many family members dropping by to say Hi, Front Desk were particularly understanding with this and accommodated our every request in regards to our visitors. Overall the hotel was very clean and calm, in the middle of Gulshan but personally I found our rooms to be quiet and peaceful, the general area was nice to navigate by foot, with some nice coffee shops and boutiques within walking distance . The swimming pool was very clean and not deep(so good for non- swimmers too)

Spacious room, clean, good view, good breakfast options

The location was in the middle of the city. I could hear the noise, sound, vehicles honking, throughout the night. Although I was on 19th floor but still this bothered me. Fruits in breakfast nook looked like not much fresh, especially watermelon. Tables were wobbling so asked the waiter to put some support underneath. Lifts didn't have indicator so you don't know which one was opening. Food titles beside each item was so low and vertical, it was difficult to read. Airconditioner sounds quite a bit when it starts.

Really comfortable bed and pillow. Real coffee from beans for breakfast, unlike most hotels in Dhaka that serve only Nescafe. The gym was nice but too hot (temperature set to 27 degrees), I wish I could regulate the AC when using the gym. Breakfast was tasty.

Noise. The air conditioner made a loud humming sound. There is no sound-proofing, so you can hear guests from the rooms next to yours talking and walking. Ridiculous price for an airport shuttle at USD 28+taxes, when you can get an Uber for $5. This is 6 times the price of a regular car to the airport. The hotel is overpriced compared to what you would pay for these kind of facilities in other countries.

The staff were wonderfully kind and were willing to go out of their way to assist in any way, while being conversational and interested in you at the same time. The swimming pool was heated and had a beautiful view.

The hair dryer was wedged in the shelf and hard to take out, and then wasn't working properly. I think a bad connection with the cord and probably needs to be changed.

This hotel is very comfortable and quiet, which is impressive given its location in the middle of Gulshan 2. The rooms are well-appointed; there is a rooftop pool (relatively quiet!); good in-house restaurants (that will make you something special if you require it!); and excellent staff. The breakfast is the best - the staff go out of their way to remember your preferences (and even hunted down soy milk for me!! Not easy in Dhaka!). I've stayed here twice now and have also booked my next stay there.

This is totally outside of the control of the hotel but there was quite a bit of load-shedding on my last stay - just something to be aware of.

Amazing! So many choices. Loved the Eggs Benedict! The staff were super friendly and cared for me. I felt like a Queen! I appreciated the system you have in place for indicating “Please do not disturb”. Felt safe

My friend did not like the Bangla tea in the cafe and the cafe seems a bit small. The price for a single in a room was a bit high but I decided that since I had a special birthday coming up this year, this would be my birthday gift to myself😉 I didn’t get to use all the amenities as not enough time!

The Food, location, and staff very friendly! It was all good and the staff very helpful!

I needed to extend our stay just by one night and they couldn't help us so we had to look for another hotel just to spend a night! Quite sad for such a big five star hotel.

The service was excellent, especially from Shagor, Amin, and Meeyan ( food & beverage manager) . We loved it so much , we returned with 2 extra guests 1710

Smell in corridors and on̈ pollws

The Doreen is located on a busy round-about in the heart of Gulshan, one of the better (and busiest) business disctricts of Dhaka. The lcoation is perfect if you have business dealings in this part of the city. The hotel rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need, clean and maintained to a good standard with all amenities working. Very comfortable bed with a variety of pillows. The buffet restaurant presents a great spread for breakfast and dinner, with something to choose from for everybody. Rather expensive by Dhaka standards but that goes for most, if not all hotel restaurants. Staff throughout the hotel is super friendly and eager to help.

Given the location, expect dense traffic and lots of people most of the day including the incessant honking cars and CNG's (the three wheel tuk-tuk). My 21st floor room faced the round-about where you clearly hear the traffic melee below. A room on the backside may be marginally more quiet. Room AC worked fine but a bit noisy.
