The location is quite good. It's an easy 15-minute walk to the old town. The hostel is divided into different buildings: the main one with direct access to the pub-restaurant, there is a second one, 20 meters away, has rooms only. The common area is connected directly with the pub and decorated in a similar style. The good thing is that, even if you think this area is part of the pub, you can use it, bring your own food, etc. In front of the main building, there's a square where you can sit and enjoy a beer or whatever you want. It's almost like a private space... I liked it. Breakfast is reasonably priced. You can prepare your own menu with coffee, tea, cereal, different types of bread, yogurt, jam, Nutella, ham, salami, two types of juice, etc. Boiled eggs are also available. As for the pub-restaurant itself, well, I only went to one. They offer pizza, and it's okay, but nothing special. The room was spacious for 10 people, and even better if it wasn't fully occupied (it wasn't during my stay). The bunk beds have their own outlet, light, and a curtain for privacy. I was surprised to find them quite comfortable and had a wonderful rest. There are drawers under the bunk to store your belongings. I'm not a big fan of this arrangement, but... The bathroom is separate from the room and shared with other rooms. It's a good size, has a large window that always helps with light and ventilation, and was always clean. The hostel also has a third separate building with more rooms and and independent space with lockers, and you can also safely store your bike, which is very peaceful, even though you can lock it up in the plaza in front of the main building. Must say I didn´t use thouse lockers so donno how they work. To be honest, my experience in this hostel was better than I expected, and this is always a plus.

My main complaint it´s the access to my room. It was located in the 1st floor and the staircase is a bit narrow. Other than that, I didn't find big issues.

Great inmersive experience in a very beautiful city as Bruges. Its located in a Bar (as every other one in the hostel chain). But with the twist, that ins in an Old themed Bar, that even has a Tomb as a Table! (great detail, I loved it). The hostel for socializing doesn't plan activities, but as the people staying there are mostly bag packers, you can meet them at the bar for some beers. Rooms are great, as the other St Christopher Inn hostels. The lockers have plenty of room. So for a short stay in Bruges, really recommended place to stay.

Maybe the location is far from the Bruges Train Station if going walking, so recomended to take the correct Bus from there. Aside of that, everything good!

Friendly staff, great location, the hostel has a cool pub that is a great place to hang out, the bathroom was cleaner than many other places I've stayed before, the bunks are spacious enough that i could sit up straight without hitting my head

They where a bit disorganized sometimes, the floor of the room was not cleaned every day, and I'm pretty sure i saw a man in the room one night (i booked a female only dorm) but I didn't know what to do at the moment. Beware the ladder (at least in my room) to get to the top bunk is difficult to climb. I was recovering from an injury, it took me some time to go up and I was almost unable to get back down - staff was nice and moved me to a lower bunk as soon as one was available, so that part was great!

While this is a chain hostel, it has a cool atmosphere and great facilities. The rooms were cleaned daily, the beds had outlets and curtains, along with a large locker underneath, and the bathroom was just decent. The staff was friendly and the bar and cafe area were nice for either socializing or getting work done. Lastly, the location is great. It's right next to the bus stop that goes to the train station, close to a few local restaurants and a grocery store, and it is close enough to the city center to get there by foot but far enough away to get away from all of the commotion. Overall this is a great option!

There were a few things I didn't like. The WiFi kept dropping throughout my stay which was bothersome but not detrimental. There is no kitchen whatsoever, but the staff was nice enough to heat up food and keep things in the refrigerator. The lockers under the beds are not the most secure as they have holes. The worst thing above all, the rank smell of the bathrooms. I think it may be due to the fact that the toilet seats don't have covers. Please for future sake of future travelers and there noses , fix this. But overall, at this point I'm just nitpicking, it is a hostel after all !

I really enjoyed my stay here. For the price, I thought it was terrific. The hostel is in what I consider a great location. Not 100% in the “city centre” as advertised, but I prefer that. The location felt far enough away from the touristy areas that it was peaceful and quiet, but still quite accessible by bus/foot on a super nice street with some “hidden gem” restaurants to stumble upon. Staff were generally all friendly accommodating. Bed amply comfortable with nice storage for bags. Maybe I got lucky with where my room was on the premises (some are in different buildings in location to the bar), but I had no sound coming from the bar that would keep me up at night like some of the other reviewers had mentioned (at least not with the window shut) 😊.

Pros: - Can rent bikes to access the city easily - Beds have curtains - Best shower I’ve had in a hostel. You get your own cubicle with hooks, seat, shelves, and with hot powerful water. - Communal area was awesome & staff were really friendly Cons: - Bed had dirty laundry on it on arrival - Rooms aren’t connected to the reception area, they’re dispersed up the street - Hidden €4 city tax you have to pay on arrival - WiFi kept cutting out & you have to keep reconnecting to it - No shelf next to the bed and very dark in the room

Great little hostel, Was a bar downstairs well stocked with Belgium beers but didn't really make the rooms noisy. Very social too and meet some great travel companions and staff where extremely helpful. You do not have to be a partier and drink for it to be social either and would as a solo traveler would 100% recommend.

No kitchen was a bit of downside and having to pay to store luggage before and after check in did mean it did have added costs especially having to use them to store my stuff when changing rooms to extend a stay. Although it did mean the stuff was secure.

We stayed in the bunk house, which was conveniently located within walking distance from central burgge. The bar downstairs was nice, and the pizza was pretty good!! The beds were comfortable, and the curtains allowed for privacy. Free walking tours (tipping) were provided by the hostel and were excellent! Bathroom and toilets were clean and shower stalls were a good size. Overall great stay.

There was a bit of a plumbing smell in the bathroom. The bar downstairs can get pretty noisy till early hours of the morning - but that's expected for a hostel with a bar attached.

The private double room was like a three bedroom apartment in a separate building from the pub therefore was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and clean. soap, towels, toilet roll, were all provided. The location was close to the bus stop, there was the option to hire bikes and lockers, we used the lockers which were a fair price at €5. There was also fridge and kitchen equipment available to use which was great. The staff were also very friendly. Great value for the price we paid.

The room size was quite small, and the stairs were very steep, and changed directions. This was hard when handling our luggage.

This was my first time staying in a Hostel. I really liked the atomsphere. If you are willing to share space, this is a better option for a solo travelor than the loneliness of a hotel room. There is nice, authentic Belgium bar attached to the hostel In particular, Alistair was exceptionally helpful. I came to Bruges to learn, and I think I learned more from him than my guided tour and all the museums. It is amazing how the knowledge and kindness of a single person you meet when traveling can make the trip so much more rewarding.
