We had a wonderful stay at the stunning, design-led, modern-traditional Hotel Contrast. An exceptional location just 10 minutes from the bustling centre of Bruges and extremely quiet. Super friendly hosts made us feel so welcome and special and we were given a very comfortable, beautiful, newly renovated, en-suite garden room with its own patio table and chairs. The most amazing breakfast - much more than we could eat with delicious freshly-baked croissants and eggs as-you-liked. We loved the garden aspect with two happy cats enjoying the space and would be happy to return.

A little more cupboard storage/shelving for clothes and small items would be useful but this is just being super critical!

What an amazing place to stay! It is in a great location. The property is beautifully designed. We stayed in one of the garden rooms. It was comfortable and modern with a small outdoor sitting area. The breakfast is ample and quite diverse. The highlight was without a doubt the charming hosts, Valerie and Sam. They were incredibly warm and welcoming. We felt incredibly well taken care of. If we return to Bruges we will definitely stay there again…and have already started recommending it to our friends!

We couldn’t have had a better stay in this beautiful city; the entire property had such character, our room was modern, comfortable and spotless and the location was perfect being just out of the centre enough that the crowds didn’t follow us back!

Absolutely nothing, however it should be noted that there’s no lift as it’s a beautifully kept period property which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others with mobility issues!

B&B Contrast is a gem! Sam & Valerie were wonderful hosts, providing advice on sights, restaurants and events. Check in was easy and without hassle. Breakfast was excellent (Sam makes fantastic eggs). The property is very well located, about 10 minutes' walk to the Belfry. Parking is available (at a surcharge) if you are travelling by car. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. We will definitely be back!

I would like to write an excellent review for the accommodation in Bruges with a fantastic breakfast, beautiful surroundings, a stunning garden, and a very clean and friendly atmosphere. The accommodation in Bruges was simply amazing. It started with a welcoming and warm reception from the staff, who provided us with all the necessary information for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was outstanding - fresh pastries, a wide selection of fresh fruits, and delicious cheeses and ham. We truly enjoyed the delightful food and the choice of tea and coffee. The accommodation itself was tastefully furnished and comfortable. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and stylish furniture. Everything was maintained in great cleanliness and order, which contributed to our relaxation and comfort. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, allowing us to comfortably shower and prepare for a day full of exploring Bruges. However, what we enjoyed the most was the beautiful garden, which was a true haven. The garden terrace overlooking the green meadows and blooming flowers mesmerized us. It was the perfect place to relax after a full day of sightseeing. There was plenty of outdoor furniture where we could unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, the accommodation in Bruges with an excellent breakfast, beautiful surroundings, a stunning garden, and friendly staff provided us with a wonderful experience. We were impressed by the attention to detail and the care the staff put into ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Bruges and seeking exceptional accommodation.

It was exceptional! Valerie and her husband are great people and are taking good care of their guests and hotel itself. 🤗 Location is fantastic! Like 10 min walk form the main square, but area where hote locatedl is very calm. Breakfast was great. If you are traveling in summer there is a swimming area right next to the hotel. Paid parking is 2 min walk form the hotel. If we will go once again to Bruges - we will book the same place for sure 😃

A stone's throw from the main centre, the location was perfect for us, as situated in a quiet area of the city. The breakfast was sensational, we left each morning with full bellies thanks to their cooking and options available. The place itself is so clean and smart, whilst maintaining the age and character of the building.

There was nothing about this stay that we didn't like, we cannot fault the B&B location or the hosts. We knew that the location was opposite side of the city to the train station, but it just allowed more exploring to be done.

I've travelled several places in the world, but probably this was the finest B&B experience so far. The superior double room is spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable, an oasis to come back after a long day walk. The room is looked after frequently, changing the towels, providing the coffee /tea on a daily basis and as requested. The breakfast is always fresh, plentyful and various. Coffee is amazing. The location is top-notch, panorama is beautiful. The garden is like a fairy tale. And last but not least, the owners: Valerie and Sam couldn't be more kind and attentive, they are extremely helpful and passionate, warm-hearted people. They made our week-long journey a miracle, and we cannot be thankful enough for this. We'll definitely be back one day. :)

Valerie and Sam are exceptional hosts! So friendly and accommodating! The property is located in a quiet neighborhood just steps from amazing restaurants and attractions. Rooms are beautiful with clever design elements- beds very comfortable! Breakfast is to order (Sam makes the best scrambled eggs). I guarantee that you will be well taken care of at this property!

Nothing- it was perfect

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable, clean and provided with everything you could need in the right place. Lovely the view on the canal. The position is perfect to visit the centre and the main attractions. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. And last but not least, Valerie & Sam are extraordinary and caring hosts.
