Breakfast is a buffet with a wide range that can satisfy all types of dietary requirements. A lovely chef also serves fresh pancakes, omelettes, and fried eggs from the hot section. The room was larger than expected with all amenities one can think of. Coffee machine, complimentary water, a couple of coffee pods and tea bags, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, etc., Very, very clean inside out and very welcoming people all the way from reception to any of the folks you talk to. I am coming back in September here for sure.

My only word of advice for the restaurant is to train all workers to know what NOT TO GIVE to someone who orders Vegetarian food and for the restaurant manager to be less arrogant, admit a mistake when he makes one, and move on rather than teach customer that they should have known what the restaurant is famous for and what not and that if you order veg burger and request fries, you should have known thru some sort of premonition that the fries are done in beef tallow and not just vegetable oil (another homework for customers for next time I guess)... his attitude towards myself, someone of colour, was quite dismissive and had I had time, I would have definitely made a formal complaint too regarding him.

Staff helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is certified four stars but the level of service and amenities is definitely on par with many five star hotels I've stayed in. Loved the little touches they left around the room, such as the complimentary candy (good stuff) and the pillow spray. You don't see that in many places anymore.

The restaurant's menu was a little confusing, and waiters seemed to push the drinks menu a little too aggressively for my liking. If you can choose, try to avoid a room that's facing the highway. Traffic noise does get annoying at night.

My stay was an exceptional experience. The hotel is really beautiful and the decoration is elegant. The room was pleasant, and spacious, the bed comfortable. All staff members from night front desk receptionist to cleaning young lady were quite nice. Breakfast is awesome, a lot a variety : cold meats, cheese, pastries, a chef to cook eggs on demand, etc.. I loved this hotel, it revives the tradition of grand hotels. Far more that what you can expect from an airport hotel. More over the parking is free during your stay, and even for people from outside the hotel during 6 hours.

Even though the problem was resolved . It would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room rather than having to go down to the breakfast for a tea bag and hot water . However the lovely staff there let us borrow their staff kettle which I thought was really kind of them .

Very friendly staff, we received a discount for a great update last minute, there is a supermarket near the hotel, near Charleroi Airport, sufficient parking space, great noise isolation, it smelled great in the main area and in our room, easy to use technology, lovely soaps, relaxing jacuzzi, very comfortable bed and last but not least the room was decorated beautifully. Our stay in general was very relaxing and luxurious. Great quality.

We've only noticed some little uncleanliness in the jacuzzi.

This hotel is located near the airport (CRL), it was the main reason of our choice. Rooms were specious and very confortable. It is an huge hotel but it was not noisy. We really appreciate our stay and I will recommend for an early departure from CRL. Parking is spacious and easy to find a parking place

Location is near the highway and could be noisy, based on the location of the room.

Spacious room and bathroom. We upgraded to family Room and enjoyed the features it had. Clean and comfortable. Dining area was nice and quiet. Thank you to the reception staffs who checked us in. They were friendly, warm and helpful.

It was a last minute booking as our flight was cancelled

It was chaos at check in as a lot of people from the flight arrived at the same time. The receptionists did their best, the one I had struggled to understand me. Then at checkout my bill was wrong twice, delaying us. (1 adult and 1 child in the room - charged for 3 adult breakfast?)

I like that at a Van Der Valk you know what you are getting in terms of quality. Room was excellent with a coffee machine. I only stayed one night as I was transiting from the airport to another destination the next day.

I got up late and breakfast bar could have been refreshed as the fruit salad had run out.

Everything about this property is lovely! The staff.. the room.. the restaurant! Van der Valk is yet to fail us!

The only improvement, and this is more a personal preference, is the pillows! A smaller, less tall option would be amazing!
