I recently stayed at Novotel and overall, the experience was decent. The room was clean and the hotel is well located, close to main attractions and with good access to public transport. However, I expected more in terms of in-room amenities for a 4-star hotel. Despite booking a double room, there was only one bottle of water provided, and there were no slippers, bathrobe, or vanity set available. The facilities were quite minimal, which was a bit disappointing. It’s a good place for a short stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to the details and the standard of in-room services.

loved the location and proximity to everything within Charleroi. everything was clean and I also like the consideration for the environment with a bin for sorting recycling and rubbish. we ordered a taxi for our super early flight. the taxi driver was amazing and even gave our kids waffles once we got to the airport in his lovely Lexus taxi 😀

the room had a stale/stuffy smell when we walked in at first, as if the room was not ventilated very well. there are no opening windows so this would explain the smell.

The location is excellent, the hotel looks clean and modern both inside and outside.

You need to change two lifts before you can get from the ground floor to the 5th floor - walking across the entire lobby (located on the 2nd floor) from one lift to the other. When you have to do this a couple of times per day - it becomes a bit annoying. The second lift is activated from inside only with the room card. However, before we checked out, the card stopped working and we were not able to get back up to our room. The card had to be reconfigured at the reception desk which took time and we were quite a bit in a hurry.

Everything is fine with hotel, but it is situated in the city center and at night inside the underground Q-Park (with cameras) the window of my car was broken. Inside everything was stretched and damaged, so I had to go to police. The adres of police station was kindly given by hotel reception. Half of the day at police station + car wash. Nerves, money, my time and tears. Be aware.

We made a last-minute booking due to traffic issues. My partner told me Novotel hotels are always the same: they look very nice and provide a decent quality, but the have noice issues. This is indeed a beautiful hotel with well equipped rooms. The bathroom is modern and spotless clean. The personnel is very professional and friendly. The location is brilliant, just a stone cast from the main railway station. Basically, it's a good value for your money.

See above: they do have noise issues. We could clearly hear when the people next room were talking or laughing. We were lucky to have neighbours who went to sleep before midnight. But it's frustrating to completely depend on the behaviour of complete strangers. I would only recommend this hotel for those to whom this is not a big issue.

We booked this at the last minute as we couldn't drive home any more. The room is very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic right inside/ beside the Rive Gauche mall. Easy to access from downtown. Staff was also great on checking in and out.

Can offer some moisturiser and toiletries like toothbrush, shower cap etc which I expect for a 4 star hotel. There was also only one bottle of water for a room for two :(

Very comfortable bed. Right in the middle of town. Terrace bar. Breakfast was superb.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. The hotel is attached to the shopping centre (you park in the shopping centre car park - underground). Finding a spare space to park in the shopping centre was not easy, neither was finding the door in the car park that leads up to the hotel.

The hotel in placed in the city center, close to the mall and just 7-8 minutes walking from the main train station and bus station for the airport

The carpet and the furniture from the lobby were dirty which is not normal for a 4 star hotel. The price is too high for what they are offering, but, unfortunatelly, there are not so many options in this dirty old looking town

That was the largest hotel room I’ve ever been to! Spacious, well equipped, exceptionally clean, with a coffee machine, kettle and fridge, a beautiful bathroom and fantastic shower - everything I ever wanted in a hotel room. My only regret was that we couldn’t spend more time there - our flight was early in the morning. The staff were very courteous and helpful. If I’m ever in Charleroi again - that’s where I’ll stay! Highly recommended!

The décor was a bit bland but it was expected and did not spoil our enjoyment of the room. The photos give a very accurate representation.

Location is excellent. Conveniently on top of a large and secure parking. Cocktails were good.

The simple room does not come with a chair. Given there is a lot of hiking opportunities in the region, a chair to help take on and off shoes to sit down and relax without dirtying the bedspread would’ve been welcome.
