This hotel is an ancient mansion, beautifully decorated and on an excellent location to visit central Manaus, just across the street from the famous theater. I stayed there twice, first only one night before a cruise on Rio Negro, then two nights after the cruise; the room for the one night was rather small, but quiet, comfortable and well decorated: the room for the two nights was much larger, also quiet, comfortable and pleasantly furnished; the two bathrooms were modern, very clean, with perfect light and plenty of warm water. The breakfast was excellent, as was the professional and kind staff,

The electrical light in the rooms is quite poor; it did not bother me during the one night, but during the two nights I needed to work on my computer, so I asked for a better light, which the staff provided in a short time. Although I have some mobility issues, the fact that there are quite a lot of steep steps from the street to the reception area did not bother me too much; there is also a narrow, steep staircase to go down from some rooms to the breakfast area - other rooms are on that level. This would not prevent me from returning to this hotel, but people with mobility issues should be aware of these two points.

I just spent one night between a flight from Brasilia and a cruise on Rio Negro; now I am again in the same hotel for a couple of nights, so I intend to write a fuller review in the near future.

The light in the bathrrom was perfect, but the bedroom had a very weak light. It did not bother me, but there are quite a lot of steep steps from the street level to the hotel recption area.

Great location with a relaxed casual vibe. Just around the corner from the Opera House and central square. Walking distance to the river and markets. On the weekend we were there (maybe every weekend?), a block away, they closed the road and had stalls set up where you could buy food and drink and sit. It was busy with locals and great for people watching. Hotel was decorated in a fun quirky style. This used to be a large private home back in the day and while it's showing it's age, it was just what we were looking for - - affordable and cheerful. Casual common areas that were inviting to sit and relax with spouse/friends/others staying there. These common areas were comfortable with cushioned seating where you could lounge in the sun or shade, or inside. The breakfast area, in the walkout basement offered a nice selection for a small hotel. You could sit inside or stroll out and eat in the small garden/pool area. Our high ceilinged room was simple but met our needs. Air Con worked well. Fridge worked well. Room was quiet. Very basic, not modern, but clean. Close to a few restaurants. One of which was excellent and we went to twice!

The guesthouse was absolutely beautiful—charming, spotless, and even more stunning in person than in the photos. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and it’s clear a lot of care went into the design and upkeep.

Unfortunately, the spring mattress was very old & uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. With an upgraded bed, this place would be close to perfect.

Charming small hotel in the centre of Manaos. It has the vibe of the old colonial mansions. You felt transported one century back in time. Nice garden to read or chill. Really comfortable beds.

Like everything in Manaos, it's decaying a little, not extremely. I don't mind it, cause it contributes to the whole atmosphere of this lovely house, but some people might.

Perfect location. Stylish hotel with amazing atmosphere of historical heritage. Many lovely vintage details in combination with modern facilities. Very clean and tidy! Exceptionally friendly and highly professional personnel.

My friend and me stayed in a twin room with one double bed and one single bed (this was the only option available for us as we wanted to share the same room but with separate beds). Although the double bed was amazing, the single bed was absolutely uncomfortable (I do hope it will be replaced). During the breakfast many delicious local things were served (everything of a high quality!), but it seemed to be too little, and though it was probably regularly refilled, I was feeling like I was taking the last piece. I missed warm food, too.

Hotel very charming and historic-"funky". Fun corners to discover. Wonderful staff; very helpful new employee Tiago. The breakfast was not very appealing but everything else was fun. Super great location; felt safe and in the middle of old city Manaus which was charming.

Breakfast was a little weird and the coffee really not very good, which surprised us.

the place is just such a nice old house decorated with love and much attention to detail. We just loved the atmosphere. And Sue is so helpful. It is great that she speaks English. It is not too common in Manaus ....

My stay in this hotel was just perfect: beautiful infrastructure, comfy beds, kind and responsive staff. The little garden with the swimming was clean and super nice to chill. Breakfast was good. No noise from outside streets. Everything was just perfect!

Breakfast was very nice in comfortable setting downstairs. nice variation of light foods. Liked peaceful pool on the property to relax and cool off. Location most convenient to immediate tourist areas without being in the middle of noise or traffic.
