Wow, what a find; incredible located hotel with great restaurants and bars right next door (literally). Everything you need for an extended stay in Manaus on the doorstep and everyone is really friendly in a very safe environment. There were lots of festivals on in the Teatro square whilst I was there which was an added bonus, and a whole load of alternative entertainment within a 10 minute walk in any direction. I couldn't believe how empty this hotel was for being so close to the downtown area and Teatro Amazonas, something for everyone. Major bonus is the rooftop terrace, which is huge and seldom used by anybody!

Internet went a bit pearshaped after heavy rain, and was difficult to maintain a connection. But, you're out mostly anyway!

We only stayed for 8 hours as we needed a spot to rest, repack and store our luggage after our rainforest tour and before our 1am flight to Rio. Great central location for food (Restaurante Caxiri Manaus is a must, get there right when it opens), the few sights Manaus has, and souvenir shopping. I felt safe. FYI the last tour of Treato is at 5pm. The hotel is about 25mins from the airport without traffic and 15 mins to the port. Kind staff

the square can get poppin at night. There was a Coldplay cover band playing in the square from ~8pm-10pm on a random Wednesday night in May and we could hear it clearly from the room. They struggled slightly with Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and The Scientist but hit most notes. The massive crowd loved it.

Location location location !!! Room and Rooftop view of Teatro Amazonas and square. Staff very friendly and breakfast variety and options excellent. Several good restaurant options around the square. Insteresting ecletic, art and historic hotel - not a modern gotel with hairdryers, coffee facilities in room.

Room not serviced daily. Replacement suggestions: Larger hihh quality towls, sheets, pillows and matresses. Front rooms can be noisy due to music originating from ths square but ads to the ambience.

The hotel is located next door to a church and across the street from the Teatro Amazonas. An historic building, there are nooks and crannies galore throughout the hotel to relax, read, and just enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. However, this is not an ultra-modern hotel, so you won't find things like a coffee-maker/hair dryer in your room. Highly recommend checking out the roof-top terrace for some great views. If travelling during the Brazilian summer, be aware air conditioning is only to be found in the bedrooms. Staff were excellent, but their English was somewhat limited. Continental breakfast was very good. There were a number of restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel and an unexpectedly large number of places to buy ice cream / gelato. Grocery stores are a bit of hike, but doable. Taxis can be found right out front and it is about a 10 minute drive to the cruise port. Overall, a great hotel with a superb location.

Really lovely, friendly, helpful staff. All tried hard to make our stay pleasant. Fantastic, generous breakfast. Excellent location right on Sao Sebastian Square next to the Amazoas theatre and with lots of good restaurants and bars a mere stumble away. Lovely view from the hotel roof terrace.

Very noisy. Not entirely hotel's fault, much to do with location. Staff were very accommodating in giving us alternative rooms to try to minimise this. Very poor WiFi in rooms but can find hotspots in the variety of quirky seating areas around the hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful! Common areas are filled with books and plants and antique furniture. The breakfast was honestly the best part and one of the best breakfasts I had in Brazil! Breakfast was made with local produce and was honestly so impressive. Service was also excellent. The room also had an air-conditioning unit. Location was excellent, right in the centre of town.

The rooms need work... they weren't the cleanest, sheets had stains on them and the room initially had no towels. The beds aren't very comfortable either unfortunately. The worst part was the shower, as the water went everywhere making the bathroom completely soaked by the end of your shower.

The location of the hotel is right on the main square of Manaus, close to great restaurants and bars, and it has the most beautiful rooftop area for relaxing with a beautiful view (probably the best in town) over the Amazon theatre and the main square. The hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of interesting artefacts and antiques. We loved that our room overlooked the historic church next door. Breakfast was a work of art in terms of its presentation - it was very varied and everything tasted delicious. Staff were very friendly.

The room is not well designed - there was a lamp next to the bed but nowhere to plug it in, so why even bother putting a lamp there? The only charging point was halfway up the wall, or in the bathroom - not very practical for charging a phone, etc. The shower was not great - one had to choose between a strong flow of water or hot water, we could not have both. We were only given one towel for two people.

This is a cute and simple hotel right on the main plaza in Manaus and just across from Teatro Amazonas. The common areas are incredibly beautiful with lots of antiques and breakfast is great. There’s also a lovely rooftop with great views of the theater. Rooms are comfortable, if very basic. Front desk staff is helpful with local reservations and storing luggage.

We stayed here two separate nights and have no complaints. Just note that rooms 18 and 19 each have a wall to the hallway that is made from opaque glass. Even so, light comes through at night. Just something to be aware of.

The hotel is next to Amazonas opera thus offering great central location. The rooms are well designed, clean and good size. The public space interiors are beautiful and full of history. Wi-fi worked well. The breakfast was great. The price is good.

The rooftop space is rundown, neglected and has broken furniture, but great views. Some of the rooms facing the street are noisy. The (used) toilet paper bins have no lids in the bathroom.

What a Hotel! Very friendly staff and best location in Manaus. The hotel is a real treasure as it's more a museum than an accomodation. Rooms and breakfast were great. The view on top is amazing and you can enjoy an undisturbed view to Teatro Amazonas. Just keep in mind that people like to party also during week days in that street until 12pm. ;)
