It was a nice property with pretty clean room. The best is the location in the middle of Copa Cabaña and Ipanema beaches, also Fort Copa Cabaña is just 2-3 minutes walk. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is delicious a lot of fruits, fresh baked goods and etc. Air conditioning is super cooling. And most important the safe district.

The hotel itself is a bit old and maybe need to do some refreshing works inside. The noises in plumbing and the soundproofing should be fixed.

The mattress felt like it was old and worn out. No kettle or anything else for making tea or coffee in the room, as with many hotels in South America. Had to ask to borrow a couple of wine glasses that had to be returned as soon as possible. Should have these as standard in all rooms.

The hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood, less than 7min walking distance from Copacabana , safe neighbourhood. The hotel stuff was very nice and helpful.

The rooms were extremely poorly isolated. I couldn’t sleep any single night because of the noise outside during my whole stay. The premises are pretty old and need a refreshment but I didn’t mind for my short stay . I was also a bit annoyed with the cleaning stuff displacing my personal belongings after every single cleaning although even if I was putting them Back again every day.

The room had a large king size bed and single bed so it was very spacious. The hotel is located in close proximity to both Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. There is also a supermarket located down the road.

There were three towels and only one towel didn't have stains on it.

I had a spacious room with a great view. The breakfast was great. The staff are fantastic, from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff to -- especially the security officer at the front desk, who helped me tremendously with a lost phone.

The bed linens were lower quality than other hotels. There is no clear information about how to get the pool -- I didn't even know there was one until the last day of my stay! There is no information on the phone or beside it about what numbers to call for the front desk, housekeeping, or an outside line (although people don't really need that these days), but the other two are necessary. It doesn't require the expense of putting something on the phones. A small laminated card next to he phone would do it -- or the front desk give that (plus directions to the pool) at check-in.

Great location and felt safe in the area. Easy to walk to places. Staff friendly and porter who looked after our luggage remembered us from previous stay 2 weeks before. Always smiling and saying hello when we came in and out of hotel. Rooms clean and everything you need for a few days stay. Booked a day trip through hotel and this was excellent and great price.

This stay our room was on 5th floor next to lift and was very noisy. Could hear people talking whilst waiting for lift and road noise.

This ended up being a great choice for me. I wanted a couple days at the end of my Brazil trip to relax and enjoy the beach areas. This hotel's location was ideal: on a quiet street betweeen Copacabana and Ipanema (a couple blocks either way) and looking out over Arpoador. There are a number of decent restaurants and cafes nearby (my favorite was the Adega do Cesare and its crab lasagna) and even more when you walk the 10 minutes or so over to the General Osório Metro stop (on Line 1). There is a full supermarket (Zona Sul) just a block or so away. My room on the 11th floor was a little "plain Jane," but it was comfortable, had everything I needed, and came with a gorgeous view down to Arpoador Rock and over to some of the Ipanema beach area. Water pressure and temp, internet, AC, TV, etc. were all good. The rooftop public space is beautiful and relaxing. Staff members were helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want. Just stay away during the first and last half hours to avoid the rush.

Very good value for money considering the location. Was able to use the pool area and shower on the top roof after check out which was half the reason for staying here as I had a late evening flight.

Loved the location - close to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Staff were wonderful especially David who helped us with tours and great recommendation on food. Stored our luggage as we arrived before check in and also after check out as we were flying out later in the day. Room was comfortable and breakfast had a great selection.

Very conveniently located at the juncture of Copacabana and Ipanema. Close to beach and plenty botecos and restaurants within walking distance. Super clean, very nice staff and good breakfast. Not sure if you can beat this for the money. If I travel by myself to Rio again I’d definitely consider Atlantis. The room was spacious and renovated just enough for the value I was expecting.

Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. I knew what the expectation was for three stars. If you’re not looking to spend too much time at the hotel and just go out and explore this is a great value.
