The hotel is very well thought about families with children. We travelled here with our two 2 year olds and we all had fun. We were a bit worried about needing cots but the hotel had provided us with couple of them, including some towels for the kids, that they loved wearing after a bath. Place was well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and always helpful. And the food was exceptional. Kids loved everything I have given them to try and for a 2 year old to do that speaks a lot. We are considering to return to this place. We loved that there were a lot for the kids to do, including the 5 indoor swimming pools that are with heated water. This made my kids at ease to go into the water. Usually they like to sit on the side to splash around but not to dip in the water. Needless to say, we all had fun in the pull and have managed to get the kids to play in it. Overall we came here with a fear that it was too good to be true and leaving with a relief that it was. Very happy with our trip and we are gutted that we couldn't stay for longer. Definetly have to book it again and bring some friends with us.

Park & Spa Hotel Markovo is a beautifully renewed hotel that has done a fantastic job of blending modern comfort with its original charm. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully modernized, making for a very comfortable stay. The food was also a highlight—delicious and well-prepared, offering a great variety. However, it’s important to note that this hotel is very family-friendly, which means it can be quite noisy, with kids jumping and screaming almost everywhere. If you’re looking for a lively, family-oriented atmosphere, this is a great choice. Otherwise, keep in mind that it might not be the best option for those seeking peace and quiet.

Some of our experience at the hotel was disappointing. We booked a room on the back side expecting a view of the mountains, but instead, we were faced with a large green net covering some pipes—no view at all. The outdoor swimming pool was also under construction, again covered with this green net, which looked very unattractive and not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Half of the garden was under construction as well, making the overall view less than appealing. Due to the overwhelming number of kids, we had to book a poolside pavilion daily for 20 BGN just to get some privacy ( not a huge problem). Additionally, the quality of the sunbeds was not up to the standard that the hotel seems to aim for.

Amazing facilities; very warm indoor pools which were perfect for a slim three year old to enjoy for hours. Softplay areas were a real bonus, and the food was excellent. I would like a special mention for the lady doing face-painting at the soft play. She was very kind and caring, and very good at unicorns!

The only negative was we were staying half-board and it wasn’t in any way clear that drinks weren’t included with our evening meal. This could be a nasty shock to some upon check out. It just needs to be made very clear upon arrival or in the restaurant.

The hotel is very child friendly which is what we liked the most. They had special robes and slippers, plus special soap and a lovely bear sponge… great details that made my boys feel like the main guest. The kids Club with animators and many activities for the children was the best and gave us a bit of time to have an adult dinner a couple of times, also, our kids were really happy. The hotel is very lovely and the staff in general very nice. The buffet always nice and big.

I think the only suggestion we have is to check on the outdoor pool, since there were several lose pieces of ceramic in the pool which I stepped on and pinched my feet, my husband got a small cut.

The hotel was great but I expected more according to the booking.com rating. It is indeed great for a vacation with kids - all pools are well suited for kids, the food was great (both breakfast and dinner), with a lot of options suitable for children of all ages, the kids club and special events for kids were very good. The rooms were comfortable, really good mattress and pillows of various density really surprised my demanding back and neck.

The outside premises look really very modest, the territory is not large and not very attractive. The saunas are quite small. But the only real disadvantage was the awful sound isolation between the rooms. I could hear the neighbours' TV and chats so clearly as if they were at my bed. That was a real disappointment and spoilt one of the two nights we had at the hotel. With all other conditions created for a perfect rest this was a substantial drawback.

We liked a lot our stay during the summer season and expect the completion of the repair works as we guess that it will be even more comfortable and with more space for the winter season. Although there was a repair works we did not feel any inconvenience or noise and everything was covered and hidden behind the partitions that was far away from the pool and the other facilities. During the winter you can find warm pools and a lot of fun for the kids and during the summer you can cool yourself in the outside pool and again to have fun and some spa cause everything is working all the time. The quality of the food is also very good and there are a special menu for little kids and babies. You can find also an animation during the day and almost every evening there is a movie night and outdoor activities for the kids. It is expected to extend the place and to ad more services.

I dont remember something to made me a bad impression that particular time.

Great looking hotel with lots to do when you're visiting with the whole family. There are a lot of activities that small children can take part in. Spa is also great - they've got several pools suited for kids and an outdoor jacuzzi.

Beds were uncomfortable, particularly the mattresses. The half-board food was good, but it could be better for the price. We were perhaps a bit spoiled in that regard by other trips we've taken in the same year.

The friendly staff, the smooth check in & out, kids attractions and kids entertainment program, the food quality & diversity at the breakfast and the dinner, the room amenities for kids.

At Saturday night, it was too noisy until late evening even due to some party people at the swimming pool restaurant. Perhaps guests should follow a strict hotel rule to use indoor and soundproof hotel facilities after 22:30 to enjoy their evening drinks, laughs and singing talents.

Pleasant stay, various activities to chose from or to relax with. Everything you might need you can find there. Spa facilities and options are not that many, however, the saunas were pretty good. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. It's worth getting a big room with a nice view. Room service was quick. Breakfast was nice, lots to choose from.

I'd say the indoor pools are not usable because they are absolutely filled with children. The pools outside are better, but keep in mind non hotel guests are also allowed, so still busy. Food is mid with not much to choose from (on the menu). There is a bar, drinks are ok but not worth it imo.

the kids center was great, clean and well equipped. There was menu for pillows which is a first and has always been a problem for me in other hotels. The staff were all very polite, helpful and professional.

there were couple of colder nights and due to complains from some guests they switched the central air con to winter mode which was only heating. We had to open our room window during the night in order to be able to sleep. There was however a lot of road noise as we were in a room on second floor next to the road. The spa and the restaurant are not organised to support full hotel capacity. Our first night hotel was maybe 70% full and pools were unusable and during dinner and breakfast there were queues forming due to the narrow space food was placed.When the hotel was around 50% capacity all was great
