Room was excellent. We stayed in a business apartment with balcony. It is definitely worth staying as the price was good for money. Restaurant and bar downstairs. But the best thing for me as I travelled from England was the secure car parking. I rented a car in Sofia and didn't know where to park. So having this with the hotel was a major bonus.

We also stayed here during the 2-4th September in just a standard room and this room had a smart TV so we was able to use YouTube ect. We came back and stayed from the 7-9th September and stayed in a business apartment with balcony. The room was incredible. But unfortunately this did not have a smart TV. It's not a major issue. But would have been nice too use as the TV did not have many channels on it at all.

Sauna wasn’t work my whole stay, internet in my room work only in hallway but not in living room most of stay (there was working smart tv, but this not solution for work purposes) - it more or less work at first day and I rather use cellular connection then change the room

Big apartment (living-dinning room, kitchenette, bedroom bathroom), lots of space for a family with kid/s. Clean, quiet, big bathtub, comfortable bed, big bathroom. Lots of windows. Huge terrace with outdoor furniture and shade (would be awesome in summer). Kitchenette fully equipped - pots, pan, cutlery, all the basics to cook some light meals for a toddler/kid. Stove top, sink, even dish washing liquid. Nespresso machine, kettle. (no oven, no microwave). Safe private parking in front of the hotel (it's paid separately, 10 BGN/24 h). Breakfast - 3/5 stars..good enough, tasty but not many options.

The view is rather depressing, at least in winter. Although you can sea the mountains in the upper part of the view, the area surrounding the hotel is messy to say the least. Maybe in summer the greenery covers all the garbage and mess that is visible in winter. We were in transit and the area was not important for us, but I would not choose this area for a visit to Sofia..it doesn't look nice and it's far from center. Lovec Park looked very unkempt. Room service is available, but there is no information in the room about what number to call, no menu...so you have to go downstairs to the restaurant to order. Even when we found out the number..nobody answered.

Atanas, assistant at the reception was quick and kind to solve immediately an issue the night we checked in (no smoking room with strong smell of smoke); we ended up in a 2-bedroom apartment with large terrace onto the zoo park instead of our triple room. We got also good recommendations from other receptionist (girl) about the dinner in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant. In the end we could use the hotel van to get transported to the airport (which was convenient).

The hotel is only 3 km from the city centre but not directly connected by public transportation. Taxis are available, easy to take and usually not very expensive (apart from Saturday night when we spent 4x times the usual fare). The hotel area is plenty of engineering works, the city is developing fast through new buildings.

Lovely hotel, very cozy and clean. Very good bed, air-condition, beautiful rooms and very clean bathrooms. Staff is very polite and friendly too. Safe, secured parking. Tried the restaurant. Food is excellent too, had a very special, tasty dinner. Breakfast is rich and excellent too. In the late morning hours, I could hear some exciting animal noises from the nearby Zoo, it was one of the many highlights of my stay, really loved it. :) Wish I could stay more. I recommend the place for everybody. It is trustworthy. Congratulations for the owner and staff.

easy to find, very clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. standard room very small but the suite rooms are perfect

we stayed for 5 nights. we had booked 4 nights in a suite. it was perfect. we had to stay for another night and we were given a standard room. it is only for one person. although the bed is big there is no space for 2 suitcases, no space to sit in the room. it is not value for money the standard room.

A Comfortable and Delightful Experience at Hotel Zoo! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zoo during my visit to Bulgaria for a seminar, and I must say, it was a great experience! From the moment I checked in until the day of departure, the hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations in every way. I initially booked a 10-night stay at Hotel Zoo, and as my time there progressed, I found myself so enamored with the place that I decided to extend my stay for an additional 8 nights. The decision to extend my stay was undoubtedly one of the best choices I made during my trip. One of the standout features of Hotel Zoo was undoubtedly the comfort of their accommodations. I slept incredibly well each night, and the upgrade to a bigger room was definitely worth it. The spaciousness and overall coziness of the room made me feel right at home. The breakfast at Hotel Zoo was simply divine! I cannot praise their freshly baked croissants enough. Each day, they were served warm, right out of the oven, and the taste was heavenly. I appreciated the extended breakfast hours from 7 am to 10 am, which allowed me to start my days at a relaxed pace. Throughout my stay, I encountered some minor issues with my room, but they were quickly resolved by Atenas, the housekeeper manager. His kind, attentive, and efficient approach to addressing my concerns left me impressed and assured that my comfort was their top priority. The hotel's restaurant and bar were another highlight of my stay. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the service provided by the bartender, Maryan, was beyond compare. He was always friendly, and attentive, and went out of his way to recommend the best meal options on the menu. In conclusion, if you're considering Hotel Zoo for your stay in Bulgaria, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The warm hospitality, attention to detail, and exceptional service from the staff made my visit an absolute pleasure. If you want to elevate your experience.

Our second stay here and again cleanliness was great. Its a big airy apartment with Tv's, balconies and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast and room service was good.

The Internet was down for the whole 3 days of our stay which to us and many is unacceptable. We stayed in "the other building" we couldn't seem to get hot water, eventually reception sent someone up who told us that we have to run the water for 20 minutes as it needs to come from the boiler that is in another building. It did eventually turn hot after 15/20 minutes but if you need to get up and out early, running the tap for 20 minutes before getting hot water is not ideal.

The room is modern and very spacious, with great leafy views across the zoo and also mountains. The kitchen was well equipped and all was very clean. Added bonus of a gym, sauna and steam room.

Step out of our room and we found ourselves on an amazing balcony with a relaxed seating area and a dining table, however, we decided not to use this space because there was an unlocked door from the communal area allowing anybody to walk onto the balcony and join us on the balcony outside our lounge. We asked more or less on arrival for the door to be locked but this never happened.

This hotel is a great location for transit in Sofia, not far from the Sofia South ring road but also decently close to the city center and especially the Sofia Zoo (thus the name....) Large rooms (quite large actually), very well equipped and clean. Nice restaurant and a lobby bar to relax. They offer a private parking solution for a few hours or at 24-hour intervals for 10Lev / day. Very good to use. Friendly staff all around. Being close to the Zoo some 300 meters from the Eastern entrance, is a great choice if you want to visit with kids. So... we'll be back at this location when in Sofia...
