The team is simply wonderful. We had a blast. They are all so kind, we were delighted to have this nice christmas break spending few days here. And there is a great « eggman » at the pantagruelical breakfast. The room was just perfect, Very clean, well equiped, including a second bathroom outside with a big bathtub.

One minor thing but the pool was just a bit too cold ;-) to our taste. But again the services and the team are fantastic.

My sister and I stayed at Rainforest Hotel for eight nights and can't recommend it highly enough. The room was impeccably clean on arrival and was cleaned to just as high as standard throughout our stay. There were complimentary toiletries available every day, as well as in-room tea and coffee. The design of the hotel is very thoughtful, with a gorgeous coi pond and plants everywhere, it feels so peaceful. Every single member of staff were so helpful, friendly and hospitable. We though the security guard out front (whose name I didn't catch) and Chea (probably not spelling that correctly!) were especially helpful and friendly. Thank you both so much! The staff at breakfast are all wonderful, very helpful and attentive. Eggs made to order and a beautiful selection of fresh fruit and veg, breads, porridge, rice, hot drinks. It was fabulous and we were well fed and looked after every day. The pool is a welcome break from the Cambodian heat for us northern English ladies, who found it be boiling hot in January despite all the locals thinking it was chilly! We booked a room next to the pool, which was great for getting in and out of the pool for a swim directly from our room. The room was very spacious and smelled lovely, with bedding and towels that were immaculately clean. We slept so well every night! A rickshaw into town was less than $2, so it was no trouble to be staying a bit further out, and meant it was quiet and peaceful. All round brilliant experience and a hotel we will not forget! Thank you to all the other staff, from the chefs to the cleaners to anybody else, everyone was lovely.

The Rainforest Hotel really earns the four stars. All staff is extremly friendly and helps with organisation and information. In any respect. We enjoyed the best room. we have had during our long travel through Cambodia!. Especially the beds proofed a lot better, i.e. less hard as in all the other hotels. Breakfast was excellent, asian as well as western.. On the weekend as a bufet in total, during the week partialy a la carte (asian) and bufet (western plus fruit). It is true, that it is a bit too far to walk from the lovely city centre of Kampot. You definetly need a TukTuk to get there or return. That makes 5$ return in total and very easy to organize, but it is worth it, as you enjoy a great and calm stay over night.

It is very relaxing and comfortable to enjoy the aircon during the night. Even if adjusted to miinimal fan-speed and high temperature you will feel a "cold" stream of air on your head. Some may like that, we don"t. According to our experience made in numerous other hotels in Cambodia, this is a very common situation. We usualy covered our heads with a light scarf during the night. This helps a lot.

Staff were great - immediately changed our room when the one we were in had a really bad drain smell after showering. We were moved upstairs to a better room with a great view above the trees. Also super nice when the motorbike we rented had an issue. Very calming. Nice pool. Wouldn't want a room opening onto the pool though as the pool was in use quite late and quite early by kids. Bed very comfortable.. Slept really well - which is unusual!

Initially seemed a bit cut off (not a remote resort type of gal - prefer to walk to everything) but quickly got used to it - used great value tuk tuks when needed. Only one moaned about it being so far away. Just have to wait a bit longer for one to come that's all. Didnt seem to be a restaraunt for dinner - but that's why tuk tuks or food delivery is invented.
