I-Lay was the highlight of our 3-month trip. The beach, staff and food are all excellent. The beach is shallow, not windy and super clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a great, relaxed vibe to the place. And the food - everything we tasted was delicious. So if you are looking for a nice bungalow on a spectacular beach with food so good you do not want to eat anywhere else, this is your place!

Do not expect a fancy place but I-Lay is definitely a star in its own category. The rooms are tiny, too. And there are sandflies like everywhere on Koh Kood.

ILay House was a perfect choice for our relaxing two week beach paradise relaxation vacation. First (her nickname) (a fellow Canadian) and her brother are amazing hosts who know how to take care of all guest needs and also take great care of their staff. The location is on the best beach on the island, the beach is pristine peaceful and picturesque. The accommodations are waterfront with amazing sunsets views. Rooms are clean well appointed with AC and hot showers, beds are clean but a little hard for us soft Canadians. The grounds are maintained every day and food is the best in the area. With a full American style breakfast we started the day off just right each day. Should we come back this way Koh Kood is a friendly safe destination and we would recommend you stay at ILay

The location is great, the tents were very clean and the staff were amazing.

There was work by the shared bathroom block that I think was a blocked drain. This was just unfortunate timing and I’m sure will be rectified soon as they are very hard working and diligent. The bathroom block could have been cleaner but was cleaned regularly, I just think a combination of sand and the other guests was the challenge

Location location location! That is why you choose this hotel, not the facilities. Cozy and open reception/restaurant with an amazing owner that caters to your needs! So helpful! We rented a motor bike that got us around the island in an easy way.

We got the orange three bed cottage at the end of the houses. It was clean but not in the best condition and needs some work. Would Be good to have a couple of sun beds to each house.

Location is good just in front of the room you can see really gorgeous beach.

The toilet is quite old. The blanket is not clean as should be. Especially the blanket it looks very old and not clean shouldn’t give it to the customer.

The location of our bungalow was incredible, sea view, aircon and ensuite. The staff were great, they helped us book a local taxi to do a 5hour tour of the Island because we don’t ride scooters and he was amazing and it was a bargain. They have 2 masseuses on the beach amd free access to wifi and the kayaks, paddle boards and life jackets. The little beach bar at this accommodation was great value for an island. They did AMAZINGLY good cocktails and did not scrimp on the measures or the presentation. The beach is quiet and chill.

There was nothing we did not like but some days the kitchen is not open so you have to find other arrangements for dinner in the off season but this was not an issue there is a lovely little place less than 5minutes walk down the beach which also did amazing food.

The location of this place is exceptional, right on the most beautiful beach, I could stumble out of the tent for a morning swim first thing. You just can't beat it! The tent was basic but well thought out with a mosquito net, fan, foot washing spray, clothes drying rack and some small furniture to keep your things tidy. There wasn't a lot of space but it was enough for a few days. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice and the staff helpful. Highly recommend as an affordable way to stay right on the beach!

Some kind of locker or lockable box for the tents would have been appreciated for peace of mind. I just kept my valuables on me most of the time but would be nice to be able to store them safely.

After not being thrilled with our hotel, my partner and I were looking for a new place to stay as quickly as we could- on Christmas Day on Koh Kood :/ Not a lot of space on the island at that time, and we feared we'd be out of luck. I booked us a vacant spot at I-Lay House at a steep discount, sight-unseen, and hoped for the best. The lovely owner of the establishment came to pick us up personally and even organized a truck pick-up for us when she saw our luggage. As luck would have it, we were given the most recently made room, and it was incredible. The room (and bathroom/shower) was spotless and beautifully decorated, 20 paces from the shore. The beach was clean, with plenty of chairs and shade to share with the few other people around. Wouldn't have minded it being more busy even, as the other guests were by-and-large very friendly and fun to talk to. Staff, particularly the owner, were welcoming and eager to help with anything you needed. Food was delicious and presented beautifully, with the free breakfasts being a highlight. Romantic sunsets with stunning nature surroundings. Despite thinking we'd like to see what else the island had to offer, we were too enchanted by the food, views, and vibe of the area to stray farther than the beach chairs. It's no exaggeration to say that this place saved our vacation, and we'd be so happy to be able to return someday.

Amazing location with one of the most helpful and lovely hosts I have ever met ! Glamping tents directly at the beach. Nice quiet place to relax. Great Snorkeling Sites nearby and white sandy beach. Gratis Kayaking and SUP. Awesome sea food and fresh fruit cocktails.

Located at an amazing beach with the frendliest staff. Few different options for breakfast that you order beforehand and the portions were very good sized. We stayed at the glambing side in the cute little tent type rooms and it was very comfy. Good value for the price! :)
