We can’t rate A La Koh Kood more highly. The resort is set in a corner of paradise! For a relaxing stay and beautiful beaches you need look no further. Every single one of the management and staff could not do enough to make our stay perfect in every way. Nothing was too much for them and it was always service with a smile. The food was exceptional. We stayed for fifteen nights so occasionaly ate out at a couple of resorts nearby. It was never up to the standard of A La Koh Kood both by way of quality and service. We stayed in a detached deluxe bungalow which provided all the necessary trimmings. Fresh water is always available as well as free tea and coffee. There are always enough kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment to freely enjoy. To sum up A La Koh Kood resort cannot be beaten. It is simply heaven on earth!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming 15-room hotel and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of magical. The location is unbeatable—directly on a pristine, uncrowded beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breathtaking sunsets with the kayak. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking tranquility and natural beauty. The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From authentic Thai dishes bursting with flavor to delicious fresh seafood, every bite was a treat. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Their genuine hospitality made us feel at home. The small size of the hotel adds to its charm—peaceful and intimate, it feels like a private slice of paradise. Truly a hidden gem on Koh Kood

The location with rooms over or bungalows to the side of a crystal clear lagoon is wonderful. The beach is one of, if not best we have ever been to. It really is as good as the pictures on the website!! The hotel has a real homestay feeling to it with lovely verandas with free water, coffee and tea. The restaurant food is excellent - again some of the best we’ve had on our 3 week trip. Breakfast choice is limited but everything available is very good quality and was more than ample for us. The team that run everything all muck in together and are super friendly and welcoming. The manager was around and visible all the time, helping his team in whenever it’s busy and checked with us every day how we were - very genuine and never over bearing. There’s a few comments about the access road - to my mind it’s more like the ones that add to the price of a remote holiday cottage in Yorkshire - it really isn’t a problem but I wouldn’t fancy doing it on a scooter everyday - most people hire a scooter from the Klong hin resort 100m down the beach as the access road there is paved. It’s easy to walk to Ao Jark bay - just one area that needs care as the bridge about half way round the headland has fallen down but easy enough if you take care. Koh Kood is as unspoilt as it gets in tourist Thailand and we loved it here!

Great location on a beautiful beach. Really enjoyed the water and fish around the resort Staff were extremely attentive and helpful Great atmosphere Quiet and peaceful. We slept so well!!

The road from the resort is not great! We hired a bike and parked in The Hideaway resort carpark and walked along the beach to this hotel. Much easier than negotiating the road in the dark!!

The location was amazing, because you were right beside the beach. The building itself was really aesthetically pleasing and had a beautiful beach theme. The resort provided a sup board, canoes, beach towels, snorkeling gear and floaties. The food at the restaurant was really good and the servers were kind and quick. There were a few vegatarian options to choose from and they were delicious. Breakfast was all you can eat and the omelets were the best. The resort staff were all super friendly and really went out of their way to help you. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back.

I loved everything about this property, I was looking for somewhere that was quiet and secluded from parties and noise. The place is so peaceful and beautiful, well kept, very clean and the facilities are fantastic, the views and the lagoon, the mangrove, I absolutely loved everything about A La Koh Kood. The staff were so welcoming and warm, nice and helpful, the girls that work in the Restaurant were absolutely fantastic. I have recommended this resort to a couple of friends and I will most surely will be back. Khlong Hin beach is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen in my life and the whole experience surpassed my expectations. Thank you to all of the staff team in A La Koh Kood, you have been magnificent.

Super friendly staff. Quiet clean amazingly beautiful beach. Plenty of free beach equipment to use, although the paddle board needs upgrading. Free tea and water around various areas of the hotel. Excellent breakfast, I genuinely can't understand why some people have moaned about it.

We thought the restaurant menu was a little limited and sometimes the service was slow.... But we were never in a hurry, so that was ok. If you don't rent a bike, the location is fairly remote. I think that a small on site shop would have been very useful. But all of these are minor points, it's really is a wonderful place.

The staff at A La Koh Kood Resort are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always eager to help and even providing transfers to the main road for guests since the road leading to the property is unpaved, sandy, and can be treacherous for inexperienced scooter drivers. The beach is stunning, with soft white sand and clear water, and the rooms feel clean and comfortable with fresh towels and bedding and updated furniture. The peaceful, natural setting and thoughtful touches like free beach equipment make it a relaxing place to unwind.

The resort is very remote and difficult to access without a scooter or driver, making it hard to explore the island. The value for money is disappointing, as the bungalows—especially the bathrooms—are outdated and not up to the standard expected for the price, with dirty tiles and a door that doesn’t close properly. We booked the “Deluxe Bungalow, but the only deluxe thing about it was the price. Breakfast is limited and uninspired, dinner is overpriced, and the curtains don’t block out light, so overall, the experience falls short compared to other, more affordable options on the island.

If you are looking for total tropical relaxation, beautiful surroundings, wonderful sea & beach - this is the place for you. Wonderful staff that made our vacation memorable. We loved the calm quiet surroundings and could just sit for hours watching the clear turquoise sea. A big plus for having free kayaks, SUP and snorkle gear all day. The restaurant has many choices, and no matter what we ate, it was fantastic. Breakfast had all you need, and we look forward tasting the coffee next time, from the new espresso machine that arrived just before we left. In the evenings we played air hockey and pool and chatted with the lovely staff. We had a fantastic stay and missed it so much on the rest of our vacation, that we had to come back, not just once but twice to enjoy this beautiful place. A La Koh Kood has a special place in our hearts ❤️ and we will come back next year again 🙏🏻 To get to the hotel you will find an amazing bumpy, sandy absolutely fantastic palmtree road/path that we just loved. It was an adventure every time leaving the hotel that we and our daughters just loved. This place is amazing and should not be rated lower because of this fantastic way to get to a secluded tropical destination!

A La Koh Kood is a true hidden gem, a small haven of peace managed by exceptional people, always smiling and ready to do everything to make your stay unforgettable. Located at the end of a long dirt road, surrounded by coconut palms, rubber trees, and oil palms, the resort offers a perfect retreat from the daily hustle and bustle, almost an embrace of pristine nature. Its construction on a lagoon influenced by the tides adds a touch of magic, with scenery that gently changes throughout the day. The welcome is warm, almost surreal, so much so that it reminded me of the atmospheres of ‘The Fantasy Island’. The isolation from mass tourism, a dream beach, and breathtaking sunsets have realized a dream that we did not believe possible, a dream we couldn’t even imagine dreaming. The rooms are cozy, with comfortable beds and internet-connected TVs, which, however, we rarely used, completely absorbed by the surrounding beauty. Life here follows the natural rhythms of day and night, in perfect alignment with the environment. Breakfast is of high quality, and the restaurant offers excellent Thai cuisine, with many tasty options for vegetarians. There is no pool, but the crystal-clear sea and the tranquility of the place surpass any need for one. Guests have access to canoes, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, and beach towels. Leaving A La Koh Kood was difficult; we left a piece of our heart there. Without a doubt, we will return and highly recommend it to those looking for a comfortable vacation yet immersed in nature, with direct and profound contact with the environment. The kindness and availability of the staff go well beyond the highest expectations. An unforgettable experience and definitely to be repeated!
