Koh Mak is a small lovely island and this hotel is easily accessible. You can walk along the beach to the pier. We hired a scooter first time ever but island is so small it is easy to get around no traffic. If you don’t like the idea of a scooter you can hire a golf buggy. We loved this island. The hotel food was good we didn’t include breakfast but they gave us breakfast for free on our last morning. We did have dinner at the hotel and the Massaman curry was great. We hired our scooter from the hotel no deposit or leaving passports. Lovely staff.

A beautiful location on beach, with craggy shoreline, as well as sandy spots perfect for watching birds in the peaceful surroundings. The villas are huge, bed is comfy, has a rooftop terrace they provide lovely toiletries and water bottles. Staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely want to make sure everything is perfect. Food was delicious in particular the Red Veggie Curry!

Rooftop furniture could do with being updated, pool area could be a little nicer, the gardens need a bit of TLC. The hotel is child friendly, which is perfect for families, whilst we do not mind having children around us, at times they took over eating/drinking areas. Roof top bar was turned into a nursery one evening, young children running around, babies crawling, boxes of toys out,obviously this is not the lovely staffs fault! Might be a good idea to make the rooftop bar area a child free zone as LOTS of couples visit this place.

Excellent breakfast, but would have been nice to have a prepay for breakfast option when booking.staff was awesome very friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Mouy at reception with all your help booking boat transfer to Koh Chiang for us. Also found Go Go very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Beach was very peaceful and serine. Pool facilities were exelent. Like that the resort is very enviromentaly conscious in there attempts to reduce the use of plastics. Would definitely return in the future, my favorite stop so far on this trip.

I have absolutely noting negative to say about this resort. From the staff to the facilities and room, every thing exeeded expectation.

Very comfortable accommodation and absolutely loved the wonderful beach

The step silly 3” step inside our room , I had a very bad fall caused by forgetting it was there, it’s obviously a safety hazard as has warning tape on it but almost same colour as the flooring. I had a huge bump on my head and just missed hitting the leg of the desk.

A fabulous, huge room with a great roof terrace with a view of the ocean,great for stargazing at night. Super comfy big bed and very spacious bathroom. Spotlessly clean and good air conditioner too. The rooftop bar was a great spot for sundowners with a view across the bay. Good restaurant also with lovely views. All the staff were just lovely, always smiling, laughing and so very helpful. The gardens are full of trees and well kept shrubs and made this small resort a pleasure to be in. We look forward to returning.

Can definitely recommend White Sand Beach resort on Koh Mak. The island itself is small and lovely, perfect for those seeking solitude. The resort was calm even though there were several other guests. Staff is very friendly. There are small beaches surrounding the resort with a great view. Breakfast and restaurant served good food, but the best food on the whole island can be found at “Q bar” at a walking distance from the resort! You can rent a scooter at the resort for a good price.

Nothing really. We unfortunately had a short blackout during our stay that broke down one of our chargers.

From beginning to end this was a wonderful stay. The booking included transfer from the pier, the staff also helped us book transport to our next stay. The hotel is on the most beautiful stretch of beach, with beach towels provided, and activities like kayaking are free for the first hour. The hotel is also near a bike rental place, and some other places to eat - it’s easy to get out of the resort and explore. We also had a massage at the hotel which was amazing.

As other reviews say - the water pressure is very low. Otherwise no problems.

The room was lovely and big and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to hire a motorbike from the resort and also able to book our further ferry tickets. Pick up from the arriving pier was free. We arrived early and our room was ready, which was fabulous.

Often, the beaches had rubbish on them, that had washed up. This was pretty off putting and we tried to clean them up ourselves, but we felt this could have been done more often.

Absolutely fantastic. Superb location right by the (most beautiful beach) on the island, very well maintained and clean, spacious bungalows, great sport facilities (tennis, ping pong, gym access), the most lovely and kind staff, and very delicious food. Also excellent masseuse. Overall highly, highly recommend!

+ Very nice location + Not windy + very friendly and helpfull stuff + nice clear and empty beach on the right side of the hotel. Perfect for swimming, also with small kids + possibility to rent a golf car ideal for traveling with kids + few good Restaurants and a Supermarkt can be reached within 10 Minutes by walking + Indoor Kid playground + good Coffee + good breakfast. A little less selection, but high quality and tasty
