Our stay did not start well as we were placed in a very dark room that had no view at all except a wall in front of us and it was so bad that we wished to cancel the reservation and move to another hotel, we told the reception but she said there are no available rooms but after a short while she said there are better rooms available and we were moved. The problem is that if we did not do so we would have considered that this is the worst hotel in Banff, what I mean is why do they offer a bad room if there are better ones available!!!! This will harm the hotel.

I wish there were water bottles in the rooms

The location and proximity to everything is great in downtown Banff. The hotel, our suite, the restaurant, the pools and the spa were exceptional with great staff. The lobby has cedar burning at all times in the main fireplace and just makes the entry to the hotel comforting. Its decorated beautifully and the design also included preserving an original home and placing it in the courtyard of the hotel, along with green roofs and vegetation as you stroll to your room. no interior hallways, you are outside to access your rooms. Rooftop pool and sauna are great with a firepit for enjoying the night sky. Hands down our new favourite place to stay in Banff.

Did not have anything to dislike about the property.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent on main street. Very close to restaurants and shops. Very nicely set up, with chilled atmosphere, nice bar area and decent Italian restaurant. Spacious easy access parking under the hotel.

Expensive! We stayed in 6 other places across Alberta and British Columbia on our holiday (including central Vancouver and Victoria) and this was far and away the most expensive.

Beautiful property centrally located in downtown Banff, surrounded by shops, restaurants and beautiful views. Italian restaurant with great food and service in lobby open for B-L-D. Nice rooftop lounge area with a couple hot tubs and sauna. Everything felt brand new. Had a 1 bedroom suite with balcony overlooking peaceful courtyard. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Room quiet with private entry, kitchenette and small living area. Laundry facility available. I was So impressed that they offered to refund first night after a flight issue resulted in us arriving a day late (when I had called mostly to ensure our room would be held.. great customer service does still exist!) Nice small gym and treadmills with a view. Convenient parking garage right below. Daily housekeeping. We loved our stay here! It’s the kind of place you will miss after you leave…

Only had 2 washers (one out of order)and dryers for all units so I had to make multiple trips to check avail. Limited views from interior balconies (but still a peaceful oasis).

The Moose is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Banff. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure you feel welcome. The hotel offers a lot of great amenities, including a hot tub and a gym, which are perfect after a day of exploring the area. The underground parking is a bonus, and the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Banff. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with beautiful local artwork adding to the charm. Highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience!

The heating system was a bit noisy and would go on and off during the night, but overall, it didn’t affect the stay too much.

Room (King Suite) was spacious and had nice well appointed coffee station, ample (but narrow stalls) parking and excellent pool and hot tub on the top floor

Only one restaurant in the hotel, probably over priced. Other breakfast coffee options about a 5 minute walk away. The king suite room did not have any view. Upon checkin I was offered an upgrade to a slightly larger suite with a mountain view but the 50% discount was still $200 a night more than our rate (Ouch!). No thanks

We had the best time at Moose Hotel and Suites. The staff was incredible helpful in helping my family navigate around Banff and helped us find the perfect activities for my kids. The location is excellent. You are close to all the shops and restaurants without having to walk too far down the main avenue. My entire family enjoyed exploring during the day and then the rooftop hot tub to finish off the day.

Our room was a little smaller than we expected but honestly it was fine because we weren't in the room that often. We were exploring the area around us.

The location is excellent and walkable to many restaurants and bars as it is on Banff Ave and on the Roam route. The staff was top notch - received complimentary Roam bus tickets (for town routes) and bear deterrent (loaned and not charged unless you engage with a bear and have to use it!). There were 2 hot tubs roof top outside that were spacious with beautiful vistas of the mountains. One pool was inside that we did not use. Towels were plentiful and there was complementary cold water available. Sauna was relaxing. The hotel is connected to a fabulous restaurant/bar with outdoor seating - try the fried olives!. The staff just was excellent plus +++ - any questions and any needs (we asked for blankets one night) right on top of it and always with very pleasant interactions. We had a wonderful room first floor that was quiet and with a private small outdoor patio. Lobby fireplace was nice to sit next to in the evening after a day of long hikes - staff loaded logs on a regular schedule so it was always toasty and warm. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Banff!!!

Great location, very accommodating and friendly staff, rooftop pools are amazing, spa in the hotel is excellent, nice clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Favourite hotel in Banff. Only issue is the price is extremely high. I used to stay here for just under $300/night. Now in the summer the rates are anywhere between $700-$1500/night which is insane.

Price is way too high. It used to be less than half of the price of the Rimrock or Banff Springs, which are very high end hotels. Now it’s the same price and even more expensive sometimes than these high end hotels. If it was cheaper like it used to be my family would come here much more often and stay for more nights.

Lovely suites with separate bedroom and living room...very private and comfortable. Staff was fabulous and very helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was good Italian, and the bar was good, but crowded. The lobby was inviting and peaceful to sit by the roaring fire. I used the pool and outside hot tubs they were nice. Location is great as you are just a block or two off where the main tourist traffic is but close to the shuttle pick ups and lots of restaurants and shopping. We got a discount at one of the outfitters for snowshoes.

My only complaint was that at night up at the outdoor hot tubs several large families with young kids sort of took over and the kids were running between the pool and the hot tubs and were loud. also towels were thrown everywhere. It was after 8 pm so I assumed it was okay for young kids to be up there, but it was distracting and took away from the solitude the hot tub was offering and views of the silhouetted mountains offered. There was no hotel staff present to monitor.
