Check-in was easy. The room was nice and clean. It had all amenities including a fridge as well as a microwave. Also had a small table for official use which was helpful. The wifi was good enough for my use though I used my 5G phone mostly, as I was here on official trip. There is a small convenience store just across the road, which is open late. There are halal food shops such as Kabul Lounge at walking distance (closes at 4am). There is a Timmy just across the road too, though they don't serve food after evening.

1. Breakfast- No buffet here, just a restaurant where you can order as per menu. It meant that while I went to have breakfast an hour before my work, It took me 45 mins (ordering-> cooking->service-> bill brought over). In the end, I was panicking a bit and wished I had ordered just a beverage like many others. Not a big issue though, just something to be aware of. 2. The staff were not aware of any local amenities. I arrived by 11 PM and was told nothing is open at that time. I later found out that this was not true. It would help if staff were aware of local eateries that were walking distance away.

Effectively a two room apartment, with very well-sized 'living room' doubling as 2nd bedroom and including kitchenette facilities (microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, etc). Furniture and decor - all good standard. Bathroom clean, modern with excellent bath/shower. Wifi good. Breakfast (not included), which we had on the last day there, was very good. Location: 5-10 minutes walk from the Bow River, Eau Claire Park the Peace Bridge and Princes Island Park; 15-20 minutes to Stephen Avenue, although the hotel does food and there are a few restaurants nearby. There was a temp restaurant, bar and entertainment facility (bit like a what we call a 'box park' in the UK) in Eau Claire Park while we were there, which was fun.

As the hotel seems to be at more the commercial end of Downtown, supermarkets and restaurants are bit limited in the immediate area.

The first two nights were bad due to the location of the room (Street side on 11th Floor). But, the staff was kind enough to change my room (14th floor, backside). This room was superb. Spacious and quite. Though I rarely use Hotel internet, but the speed was good. Basic facilities were above expectation. Last but the most important, it is located opposite of the tram station from where free zone starts. I have mentioned about the staff at the reception ... from which ever part of the world they may be and irrespective of the time of the day, they always had a smile. I hope they maintain this courtesy for all.

The charges for food was high. You can keep some basic portions and possibly provide breakfast with a non-significant increase in the room rent OR provide a take-away option at an affordable rate.

Lovely stay, room was nice and clean. Pool area was really nice and we had it all to ourselves. Lovely Ukrainian lady on front desk was very helpful and gave us some good recommendations. Not far from the train which is free and walkable distance to everything.

Parking wasn’t great - there was no space in the hotels parking which it is first come first serve. So was directed towards one near the hotel but it was run by “indigo” and was not an easy process to pay for. We got so frustrated that we moved our truck and parked it a near by car park and process was so much easier. But again this isn’t a reflecting towards the hotel, just letting people know if they do have a truck/car to park at hotel.

It was a short uber ride from the airport and easy to walk to the shops and tour departure points. Staff were ok to deal with. Restaurant on site is good although they don't have a wide range of breakfast options and breakfast starts at 7, which is too late when you have day tours to get to.

The area felt a little rough. There's a particular crowd that hangs around the front. The area across the street near McDonald's and the mini mart especially was not the best. It's a busy area though so I didn't feel unsafe necessarily but it was just obvious the demographics were different here. Aldo didn't like that I didn't get a spare toilet roll. Seems a bit scummy. The air con was such a loud old fashioned unit.

Decent size room that was clean. Super comfortable beds but awful pillows. Literally one hard one and one super soft one each. Plenty of electrical sockets to charge devices with. Nice complimentary bathrobes to use during your stay. Block out blinds so you sleep to whenever you like. Not too much street nose during day, quiet at night. Right next to the train line, so if you need it, that is very convenient. 10-15 minute easy, flat walk to Bow River. Tim Hortons, a pharmacy and circle K across the road. Moxies restaurant on ground floor. We had a lovely steak but it only came with 5 sticks of asparagus and a cooked beet with mash potatoes. For the price, it really should have included more vegetables, considering the size of the Nacho servings going past our table. The Mile high mocha ice cream "cake" with hot fudge and almonds was delicious. Don't believe the hotel desk staff when they tell you that guests get a 10% discount there, you don't. They stopped doing that a year ago, but the hotel staff keep telling guests that they do, probably to get people to dine there. We also had one breakfast there which was nice but the one we got at Tim Horton's the next day was just as good and half the price. Good location for our premium tour van for Banff, as they picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off there too.

Air conditioner was loud and next to useless and it just blew slightly tepid air, even if the dial was turned to cool. Shower was one of those big circle ones that drops the water directly down, so don't bother trying NOT get your hair wet. The hot water in the bathroom took 5-10 minutes of leaving the water running to come in. We didn't have a car, but they charge for parking.

Right next to the rail line that runs for free through the central city. Good size rooms. Great for getting around. Restaurant has nice waitresses. Very accommodating. Staff generally very nice but the first person who booked us in very reluctant to honour a request that had already been okayed. Failed to give us the proper map which someone gave us the next day and failed to give us a letter from our tour operator which meant we missed some good advice about sightseeing. She was polite and perhaps she was new. Otherwise the hotel was great.

Right next to the rail line that runs for free through the central city. Its noisy until it stops. Not dreadful but a consistent rumble.

I booked this accommodation for my young daughter who has moved to Calgary from Australia. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodated her extremely well. She felt completely safe, welcomed and she couldn't have wanted anything more. All of this of course is relief to a parent on the other side of the world. Unfortunately we don't come from a 'tipping' culture and so we probably dropped the ball on not rewarding the staff financially. Anyone that is looking for accommodation I can tell you that Sandman were excellent.

We only stayed one night (arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next morning) but was impressed with what I experienced. The staff at checkin were very professional and friendly. The bed was comfy, and the hotel is right near a metro stop for convienient travel. The hotel restaurant was also good.

Because the hotel is right near a metro stop you can hear the rumble of the tram, especially at night which might make it tricky for some people to sleep (not a problem for me luckily!). I didn't like the shower - it was a rainfall shower so not a lot of pressure, and the tap was difficult to operate (a small and stiff dial handle that was hard to use - anyone with dexterity or grip issues would probably struggle)

A modern, clean hotel with friendly staff. Good central location with everything within walking distance. The room was big, with a very comfortable bed. The coffee machine, fridge and microwave were a great wee bonus.

The swimming pool could do with a good clean. The pool tiles/walls haven’t had a scrub in a while and are grimy and greasy. Felt like unneeded a good scrub when I came out as I felt greasy from the water. Room wise the only downside was the noise from the C-train and the heater. The C-train you get used to but the heater is very loud but thankfully super fast so you didn’t have to put up with the noise very long.
