The staff was exceptional—friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was maintained. We really enjoyed our stay! Additionally, the lobby featured wonderful live music, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special thanks to the cleaning team for their warm greetings and for sharing in our excitement during the Comic Expo with our costumes.
The one and only thing was that the noise from the loud cars revving their engines late at night was disruptive and affected our sleep. While we understand this isn't the hotel's fault at all, it was an annoying issue that affected our overall experience.

The Fairmont Palliser is an incredible piece of Calgarian history. I love that this antique building still exists and that people still go here to celebrate their beautiful gatherings, large or small. The morning and day staff during my stay were excellent. Upon arrival, the baggage handlers and bellmen were just wonderful. The front staff were friendly and helpful. The chandeliers were exquisite and the Christmas decorations were pretty. The floors in the main entry are beautiful. The pool and hot tub were very clean, and the water was crystal clear. The temperatures were exactly as I had expected. The main pool was refreshingly warm/cool, with warm water jetting in, and the hot tub was hot at 40°. The women's change room was beautiful with vanities to re-do your make up and hair after you swim. I loved the pictures in the hallways of the mezanine level with stories about previous visitors to the hotel. The beds were so comfortable. I would love to see one or two of the rooms turned into a gallery/museum and have them dressed as per what guests of old time may have looked like or been like, and have special tickets (affordable-or with a meal) and times to tour certain areas that tell the tale of the hotel and patrons both famous or regular civilian. It would be great to restore some of the old ways of how they did things in the hotel such as the telephone operator room (just a demo dosplay) just simply to see how the old hotel once was and the complicated yet simplistic way the hotel was run. Maybe have a dress up day of the week or month where staff dress as they did in the 1920's, 30's, 60's and jump to 2000's and then decorate updated rooms for those guests looking for more current amenities. It would be interesting to maybe have different wings of the building representing eras as the building itself housed so many patrons in the different eras. This building is so charming. I just love it!
The table next to my bed had not been wiped clean so there was a sticky ring of residue on the table from the previous guest. Likely an oversight in a rush to get the room ready. The overnight staff were not as friendly as the experience with the morning and day staff.

This hotel is exceptional. It justifies the description “ premier address in Calgary “. I met a member of staff when I was walking in from the car park , the adjacent Calgary Tower Parkade , she was not so kind with her question- “ can I help you look for something ? “, this question could have been phrased better- May I assist you ? could have been way better. This slip notwithstanding, a remarkable place overall in my book.
The experience was excellent.

From the bellhop, check-in counter to exceptional housekeeping, super friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the swimming pool. Convenient pathways to connect with neighbouring buildings sheltered from the elements. Great location to downtown!
Check-out: It was most unfortunate that I ended up with a breakfast for 3 on my bill, a bill that I did not sign, nor was it my room number. As a taxi was waiting to take me to the airport I just paid for it.

Always excellent - location, room, bed, bathroom (with fluffy robes and nice soaps and products), ambience, service - loved it all ! we also used the valet parking, which was so convenient and nicely done. Good selection of teas/coffee in the room. Also my room overlooked the Calgary tower - nice touch!
nothing - don't think breakfast was included in my rate, but I don't take breakfast. nice assortment of teas/coffee in my room.

This was a quick staycation as my mum and sister live in Calgary and The Palliser was always somewhere we would go for special occasions. The staff were super friendly and the room was fantastic, along with the lovely amenities and good thing that there is a website where you can buy them after your stay! We had afternoon tea before checking in and this was a lovely end of the year treat.

Lots of small touches - the huge toiletries bottles but also bars of soap, info available on the tv, pen and paper on the big desk. The pool and gym, steam room and hot tub were beautiful and even though we didn't use the spa, we felt super relaxed by the atmosphere. Super location to all the good stuff in downtown Calgary.
Had some issues overnight with the water in the bathroom, which was explained in the morning by the concierge - but perhaps we should have received notification of the issue. Such a charming, historic building it would be nice to have more common areas to sit and hang out, not just the bar or (extra) lounge.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. I have difficulty sleeping away from home because I like my own bed and pillows, I was very surprised to discover that the pillows and bed were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was great. Easy access to wonderful dining and all of the downtown core.
The spa change room was way too small and not well attended to. A staff needed to come round more frequently to remove the old towels piling up.

Superb hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and polite, and went over and above to ensure our stay was comfortable. Location is central, near the Calgary Tower. The building architecture in the lobby is stunning.
Only drawback is that the hotel is next to the railway track so beware train noise.

Wow, what an incredible stay! The hotel's staff made me feel like royalty, and the stunning room and delightful food added to the experience. I must mention a special incident during my stay - I accidentally left my laptop, but the staff promptly found and safely returned it to my home. Their exceptional service and honesty went above and beyond my expectations. I can't stop raving about this fantastic experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to relive those unforgettable moments and experience the hotel's outstanding hospitality again!
