The location is spot on, easy walking distance to chops, bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helped us with our suitcases as it is an old hotel with no lift. Parking was across the road , it was very busy but we always found a parking space. There is a parking bay out the front of the hotel to off load your luggage before you park.

The room was small but functional - as was the bathroom. The aircon was ineffective, and we couldn’t have the window open as we were next to the air conditioning systems. Bed was a bit too soft for our liking but large which was great. Overall for 2 nights it was more than adequate.

The hotel is located on the edge of the Jasper commercial area. However, the walk to other shops and such did not take long. The room was rather small but built/designed to typical European standards (if you've ever been to a hotel in London, England, you'll know what I mean). :) That said, the room suited our needs perfectly.

I know this is not in the hotel's control but I was rather peeved that I had to pay for parking across the street. Even with the lot being free from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM, I still had to pay probably about $25.00 extra to the parking company (Hot Spot). At least I was able to download the app so that I didn't have to run down to pay manually (through a QR code - the kiosk was out of order).

Astoria Hotel is a well located budget hotel in Jasper. The hotel was built in the 1920s, is it clean and well maintained. It is at the end of the restaurant and shopping precinct. It is a great budget hotel to base your holiday. There is no parking for the hotel, there is council paid parking across the road. There is no lift or elevator, which might impact people with mobility issues or lots of luggage. There was a discount voucher associated with the restaurant next door. The D'd dog bar & Grill also adjoins the hotel. We enjoyed an evening with the locals watching the Stanley Cup. Would recommend the chicken wings !! There is an excellent selection of restaurants and a supermarket on the same block.

Location is amazing! Consistent in all the years we have been staying at the Astoria. Pub downstairs, and plenty of dining within walking distance. Beds and pillows are amazing. Bathrooms are simple and contain everything you need.

Nothing. Always an amazing stay! Some rooms are located above the pub, however, the hotel has always notified us of bands during our stay. The noise may disturb some light sleepers, but we have never had concern.

Excellent location in the main area of Jasper. In the heart of Jasper's shops and restaurants. Free easy parking available. Beds and bed linens exceptionally comfortable. I would recommend the Astoria for your stay in Jasper.

We were there during the week so the hotel was quiet. May be noisier when it's busy? The room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom is older, and could use an update. Overall, excellent value!

The location is accessible to the train station. We were in Jasper for the night to catch our train the next morning. The hotel was obviously not new, you have to go up the next floor to reach your room. But that was no issue at all . I find the room and the washroom very clean.

We couldn't regulate the thermostat. It says the heater and air conditioning was working fine. We wanted the room to be more cooler, though, but it didn't seem to work. We just opened the window and forgot to ask the concierge for help as we already had issues with the Wi-Fi when we checked-in.

The hotel is superbly located on the main street with restaurants and the train station across the road. Staff were friendly and helpful with paid parking across the road. The room was well set up with a small bathroom. Good breakfast in the dining room also catered for my wife's GF celiac needs.

There was not a lot to dislike, possibly if it had its own parking it would save you having to go back and top up the parking meter a couple of times. Have had better beds to sleep on but it was not uncomfortable.

It is a retro hotel, so some quirks but we found it charming. Perfect location and currently offering free parking. Plenty of outlet sockets in each room.

The lavender and peppermint toiletries - smell too medicated. Lack of vegetarian options in restaurant….only so many times you can eat a vege burger!

The Astoria is adorable! The location couldn't be more perfect, right in the middle of town and lots of parking right across the street. Sure the room was kind of small, but what do you expect from a classic hotel built in 1925?! The room was clean, had a great view, a private bathroom and mini fridge - what more do you need? 😁 The price was excellent for the town & location - I would stay here again 👍

Loved the location and the restaurants nearby. The bed was super cosy and roomy. We slept so well. The lavender shower gel was amazing, unfortunately the shampoo/conditioner didn’t work. Initially the room was very warm as we walked it but this was easily rectified using the AC and fan!
