One of the nicest stays during a two weeks trip from the West coast and across the Rockies. The cottages are many but built in a way that allows privacy. Very clean and cosy but spacious. This is outside of town so having a car or a bike is probably advisable. I did not use the indoor fireplace but the outdoor fire pit got a lot of use in the evenings. There is an easy riverside trail along the property and further on. The food at breakfast and dinner was outstanding and felt like it had a slight Japanese inspiration to it perhaps. Try the tuna for dinner and the pulled pork Benedict at breakfast. The bistro manager creates own cocktails so definitely try those too. Everyone from the staff at reception to servers at the restaurant were extremely pleasant and very helpful. As a tip: if you are traveling to Jasper and Banff and trying to decide where to stay longer: definitely Jasper. There is just so much more to see and do: the wildlife is plentiful, with elks wandering among the cabins at the property, ravens hopping up to your porch, little ground squirrels living right on the doorstep, deer and bighorn goats hanging around the roads everywhere. There were bears on the Parkway when driving into town and on the road to Maligne lake, where we also saw a moose one night. There are lakes and glaciers and a myriad hiking trails. Give one of the organized wildlife tours a go to learn a lot about the park and its inhabitants (they pick you up and drop you off at the bungalows). The Miete hot springs are a nice half day outing about 50 minutes drive away.

Nothing I did not like. One suggestion would be to make blankets or plaids available for using when on the terrace on chillier evenings (this was in May and while warm indoors, it was nippy outside after 8 even with the fire going but i imagine evenings can be fresh here even in the summer).

The location was perfect, a short distance out of town but as we had a car this was not a problem. The site was large with the cabins well spaced so felt very private. It was a wooded area on the banks of the river. The cabin was great with a large bed, easy chairs, dining table and well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was clean with a good powerful shower. The views were exceptional of the river and mountains. Outside there was a picnic bench and chairs plus a fireplace with daily log supply. We used the onsite restaurant for breakfast, pricey but worth it as the quality was very good. Craig was a great waiter.

We loved our mini "off the grid" stay at Pine Bungalows. It's close enough to Jasper that you can be in the downtown area in 5 minutes, but far enough away that it's quiet and there are some animals on property (we saw lots of ground squirrels and some elk!). We enjoyed having a private fire pit to have a bonfire one night. It was also nice to have a full kitchen and be able to save a bit on food.

We didn't make use of the on-site restaurant so I can't fully speak to it, but part of the reason we didn't is because there weren't many (if any) gluten free options on the menu; it would have been nice to be able to eat there. We also found the beds a bit uncomfortable (hard), but our preference is always for softer beds.

The place is a little paradise on the edge of a river, you can see wildlife just outside your room. We saw a family of female cow elks with their babies floating down the river at dusk. Cottages are far enough from each other to not hear the neighbors. We liked that it was close enough to town to go walking.

There where no lights at night to guide one to the cottages. A bit of illumination just enough for pedestrians to find their way is necessary. Prices are too high, we paid 560 can dollars per night which we think is a bit excessive. One day they said no room service because of excessive heat. We did not understand the correlation.

location was great, close to the river, inviting for a walk. quite area with fire places. hotel has a ground stock of food and groceries, parking lots. good coffee and good food

wifi was practically non-existing in the room. which is generally fine, since one is closer to nature, but considering flight checks and check ins are not possible from the room, one has to go to the lobby

Amazing location in a wildlife corridor on the river. Saw Elk & Deer on the property every day of our stay. The fire pit in front of our cabin made for a great evening watching wildlife, the river & the fire.

Unfortunately, the log fireplaces have been replaced with gas ones since i last stayed here. Also, the gas fireplaces are controlled by the cabin thermostat, so turn off once the set room temp is reached. No laundry facilities on site meant we had to go into town to use a coin laundry there.

Private cabin nestled amongst the trees the cabin itself was spacious, clean had full kitchen facilities, and an outdoor fire pit (wood pile was replenished daily) so we could enjoy making smores around fire after a long day exploring. We stayed in a Cabin close to the river which was great to walk along in the afternoons. We were even lucky enough to see a bear walking past our cabin one morning. You are outside of the Main Street but still so close to it all. Would highly recommend pine bungalows their staff were also very friendly easy to talk to and helpful.

Something that was out of their control was poor phone service (we did have some but was spotty) It just made it hard when trying to plan your day . They did have free wifi available but in cabins it was hard to pick up if you wanted to you could go hang out at the reception seating area and utilise the free wifi there.

An amazing place! It’s quiet, out of town but not too far. Close to the forest so you might witness some wild animals. The cabin is comfortable, the kitchen facilities are sufficient for you to do some simple cooking. They even offer the firewood for the guest to use. I and my family are really like this place!

Nothing. Everything is perfect! Some said the WiFi or cell phone signal might be an issue that’s true. But in another way, you can spend more time to enjoy the natural!

The cabin that I'd rented had two very comfortable beds. It had a small fridge and coffee maker with in-house made ground coffee that was delicious! The bathroom had an excellent shower with lots of towels and the in-floor heating was SO nice as it was still a bit chilly May long weekend. The grounds were so beautiful along the Athabasca River with many wildlife viewing opportunities. We also had a small campfire pit which we used one evening with the wood supplied by the groundskeepers. The local elk and deer were on the grounds eating comfortably. The proximity close to town was also ideal. I cannot recommend this place enough!

There wasn't a microwave to warm up leftovers. There were people partying the first night and playing loud music until my son went to their spot to let them know they were too loud and there were families with small children staying in neighbouring cabins. I believe there were enough complaints that they received a warning and were quiet the next night.

Beautiful, very well maintained cabins. Breath taking scenery and the river running through is just a few meters from the cabins, combined with the huge lowering mountains it’s a never to be forgotten visit. The cabins inside are spotless and continue the log cabin theme with wooden floors and walls. The bathroom has under floor heating, very welcome on a midnight visit. There is of course a log fire, though it’s gas and constitutes the heating. There’s a fire pit outside and a complimentary sack of logs and matches. It’s quite simply the nicest place we’ve ever visited and to top it there’s a top restaurant.

There’s no wardrobe which seems a major oversight, we pretty much lived out of our cases, there was just a short pole to hang a few things.
