The room had it's own sink but I shared a bathroom which at the price was fine. I could have used a chair in the room but as it was not there I had to use the bed to sit. Because of my needs from spending years abroad and contracting Filaria I needed the bottom of the bed raising. The staff provided pillows enabling the mattress to be raised at the bottom and I was able to have a very comfortable night's sleep.

As I am 81 years young it would have been great to have the use of a lift to the first floor when carrying luggage to or from the room as I am not too steady on my feet.

We stayed at the Athabasca after a night of camping in Jasper. Excellent location with lots of free parking behind the hotel. The room was very very clean! Strong reliable wifi. Shared washroom was near our room and also very very clean. We never had to wait for the washroom! The in-room sink make it easy to wash-up for the evening.

There isn’t a lot of space in the room but if you are just looking for a place to sleep for a night (no mini fridge, no a/c but there is a ceiling fan), the Athabasca Hotel checks all the boxes at a decent price.

The hotel has tried to keep the integrity of the era in which it was built, almost 100 years ago. So carpet is plush, a winding staircase and general feel of history. There is a large dining room with reasonable prices and good food. Locals seem to go to the bar as we noticed staff recognized them. Another area has Karaoke a couple of nights a week and there is a pool table.

There was no fridge or microwave in the room and no elevator, but none of those things were around when the hotel was built. We stayed in a twin room because we had a private bathroom. There were rooms with a shared bathroom.

Upon entering Jasper, the hotel building blends so well with the town's atmosphere that even Google initially missed the correct location. However, after a bit of footwork, stepping into the hotel felt a bit like a journey back in time. The hotel lobby has a lot of rich woodwork and a beautiful staircase leading up to the rooms. Everything, from the carpets to the furniture reminiscent of a bygone era, blends together to create a nostalgic experience. Our room continued this trend with its comfortable and inviting bed. We also made the most of the facilities and enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and a nightcap at the pub. Exploring Jasper on foot was easy from the hotel's central location. Overall, it was an experience that makes me want to return, for a longer stay next time!

Very cute vintage hotel in the center of Jasper. Walking distance to the main street for food and shopping. Hotel and room were well maintained and clean. Free parking on the back. Wifi worked. Sink in the room. Nice staff.

There's only 1 shared bathroom/toilet per gender. Magnetic key card doesn't work when you put it together with the phone. (Which can easily be forgotten when you're going in an out of the room).

Great location, right in the Downtown. Superb access, and clean room for a short stay over. Great location if you aren't planning on doing anything at the hotel other than staying overnight.

Considering the room size, no attached bathrooms, or lack of facilities, this one is not a Value for Money Pick. But great location if you aren't planning on doing anything at the hotel other than staying overnight.

This hotel is located on the main street in the heart of Jasper. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and equipped with toiletries. The lobby and corridors were well lit. The wildlife tour also picked us right outside the hotel so it was very convenient.

The staff was kind enough to tel us at check in that some rooms of the hotel are above the night club so we could choose but the noise was not enough to keep you up.

Front desk gentleman was an awesome Canadian! Loved the old charm of the hotel, too, plus location in town is great + onsite parking was super helpful

Mattress was sunk in middle so one of us kept rolling into the pit and disturbing each other's sleep, room temperature was very hot and took 24 hours to cook down with window open

I was lucky and went on the site at exactly the right time to get this room on a Saturday night in Jasper. It was one of the smaller rooms with a sink in it, and a shared bathroom down the hall. But for what hotel rooms cost these days it was amazing. The room was so incredibly clean and so was the bathroom!! I was very impressed. It was tiny but that was expected. It was so cute and my daughter and I had a wonderful night there. The lobby has so much character and was so much fun. Earls Restaurant was right across the street for dinner and we had breakfast at the hotel in the morning. We had EXCELLENT service and the food and coffee was amazing. I will for sure stay here again the next time we're there...hopefully in one of the larger rooms with a private bathroom!!

There was nothing to complain about here. There's no elevator but it's an older hotel. We didn't have lots of luggage to carry up the two flights.

It is rated a 2 star hotel, and based on the photos and rating I was not expecting more than a cheap place to stay. It turned out the decor was purposefully dated as it looked recently renovated. The room was small, but very comfortable, and this was the most cost effective accommodations in town. It was priced less than a private room in the hostels, yet it is a hotel with a private room... I didn't mind the shared bathrooms, they were sparkling clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, and parking was included, which was a bonus. Location was fantastic, right in the middle of Jasper town centre, surrounded by lots of great eateries and pubs.

not much I can comment on, again, I went in with lower expectations and ended up very pleased.
