Just walked into the Room and it was a sigh of relief. Finding the perfect Hotel to stay in lately is becoming a nightmare. This was more than I expected. The elderly woman was very attentive when I showed up and signed in. The nicest Highlight was when her little pet came to greet me. Even her Staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. It's been a long time since I had this kind of feeling . First time in four nights I had a great sleep and woke up refreshed. My cousin never stayed there but was impressed back by the Room and now he can pass it onto anyone that comes to visit.

Actually there was no discontent on anything.

I loved the sheets. Everything was neat and clean and very comfortable.

One of the wall lights flickered when I turned it on. I told an employee but I don’t know if he understood what I said or would fix it for the next person. Because the hotel is on the highway, I was awakened at 4 a.m. by a paving crew. Very loud for an hour. This was no fault of the motel, just bad timing for me. The toilet paper kept coming off its holder. I wonder if it could be turned around so the pull would go against the solid part.

A bunch of friends and I have been patronizing the Almo for years, and it remains a go-to place for a comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay. The proprietor is concerned for both our individual overnight stays, and the overall maintenance of her property - and again last Saturday, we were very pleased. This unique motel is a short walk out of the noise of Cranbrook's downtown - for us, works out nicely after a long day in the saddle (motorcycles) to stretch our legs. Whether we stay in the main floor or second floor rooms, it has always been excellent.

We've stayed a number of times while going west. This time, the flower pots were filled to overflowing with bright flowers, a welcome sight. (Our previous stays have been in April). The room is small but nice, bright and comfortable for a short stay. All basic amenities are available. The owners really take care that everything is looking good and is very clean. The rooms have been renovated. Even the window coverings are carefully hung, something that many motels do not seem to take care.

I only stayed for one night while I was passing through Cranbrook, but the lady who owned the place and ran the front desk was so lovely! She was kind and accommodating to me locking up my bike in their shop for the night. The view from the balcony had some lovely trees and although right next to the highway, it was very quiet. The place was clean and had character. I would definitely stay here again.

I don't have anything negative to say!

Motel-style setup means your car is close by. Clean and has microwave and frig with decent-size freezer.

Had to pay extra to get a downstairs room. Room really needed a second (or larger) trash can! No ice machine. Some road noise. Stayed two different nights a week apart and had to pay a bigger premium for the downstairs room the second time. Also, they don't respond to booking.com internal messages in a timely manner.

The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the kitchenette we had was very nice. For the price it was a great deal and we had the best location for the wedding we were going to we were basically across the street from the Royal Alexandra Hall.

The only thing was that the barn door to the bathroom had a bit of a gap between it and the wall so it didn't feel as private as I would have liked. You can't see in, but the gap lowers the sound proofing that a door should have. But the wall between the two beds kind of helped.

Room was cute and cozy with a balcony to sit out for morning coffee, it was a short walking distance to a few restaurants

Key to room did not work, they had to work on the door to get it to work for us, I feel it should have been fixed prior to arrival, it look like somebody had tried to jam open the door.

I did not book a preference for a quiet room as the questions stated so not sure where that can from . We booked through booking .com and were essentially cheated by then. The hotel was nearly impossible to get a hold of and wouldn’t call booking .com. Having said that the owner who was busy was busy cleaning eh perfectly clean and nicely appointed cute little room and watering the abundant and gorgeous flower baskets . The little hotel is a gem and would date here 1000 times over I loved it !!! .

More staff to answer the phone and is not dog friendly . P

everything was great, clean comfortable. microwave, fridge and Keurig and mini type kitchenette was great, clean bathroom with heater and huge bed , new TV and tons of room for decent price. would recommend if needing a place to stay in Cranbrook!

sometimes lil train noise from outside but I sleep like a rock 😉
