Excellent staff and location. Fernie is small so nothing is too far away. This lodge was central in town. Really great for travelling with a family with young children and multiple families. Lots of different amenities to make it feel homely. Access to things like communal kitchen, pool and games, movie room and separate sauna/hot tub area. Really attentive hotel for biking with a bike storage room and clean/tune area. Rooms were clean and comfy. Good size with a fridge and microwave and no carpet in the room which was great. Lots and lots of hooks makes it great for hanging everything up from all the activities to do in town! They were fully booked but never felt busy. Would 100% stay again.

Could be cleaner in the common areas. Communal BBQ area has only one picnic table and could use a bit more outdoor seating. The hotel itself was a bit of a maze at first and a bit disjointed, but it's not a massive hotel so it wasn't a big deal. Once you figured out where everywhere, was it was great! Breakfast provided is minimal: muffin fruit and yogurt, coffee/milks so not extensive (but we knew this before hand) but still suitable for us. These were all really minor things that didn't impact our stay, but good to know before hand!

The breakfast was fine. Fruit and yogurt. Access to washer and dryer was a great option. Location was walkable to all that we wanted to see. Appreciate the 3 ways to enter the building rather than lugging everything thru front lobby.

Coffee was weak but it was hot.

Really friendly staff, it was a little quiet so we got a free upgrade. great location which made the price fair.

Even with the upgrade the bathroom was a little worn out. There was a bit of damp on the wall and the silicone was coming away.

The facilities available: good laundry facilities, guest kitchen, movie room, etc. Handy for prolonged stay, or for facilities on a longer trip. I also stayed here last year

Even though we didn’t use them it is great to have pool and games room, hot tub and sauna.

Not enough parking this long weekend.

Not much for breakfast, but a well stocked giant kitchen and communal dining area with great mountain view. It was very cool to bring our 3 teens to this travel/family-friendly hostel lodge. There was a movie theatre a games room, pool table and pool our kids really liked it.

Got charged for a roll away that barely fit and made the room really tight. Outside on the balcony, there were a lot of people and trucks parking or driving by, so we didn't get to sit outside. Also got charged an extra $60 for our cat having a fur ball, which any cat owner will tell you they can be a bit runny. It was described as a big mess and all the extra cleaning that had to be done as a result. I guess they don't have cats...a quick pick up with a tissue and some cleaning spray to spot treat. I would have done it myself if I had seen it before we left. Seemed a bit exaggerated and should not have charged me$60 on top of the pet fee and incidentals I was already paying...A dog pee would have been way worse.

that we couldn’t use the boot room as we aren’t part of nonstop breakfast was bare minimum but even the apples were mealy. include a hard boiled egg for protein and a juice box ice in the parking lot was very hazardous, particularly on the east side of the building.

Mike at the front desk was phenomenal, very friendly and welcoming, called me by first name and shook my hand, also had a welcome gift for the dog. Next time I’m in Fernie will be staying here.

older hotel but very well taken care of - so many fun activities for the kiddos! bunk bed style was a wonderful option for the family

priced a little high? was hoping for a little more at their advertised free breakfast but all in all a magical stay :)

location is awesome! very cool balconies overlooking mountains.

rooms are a bit tired, tea kettle had white residue that wouldnt be cleaned, definitely dated but they try their best to clean.
