They definitely did some renovations recently because our room was gorgeous! We loved that there was a back porch area too that faced the river. It would be totally walkable to town for tourists but we weren’t sure so we drove, next time we would walk for sure! It’s right off the highway on the corner near the bridge with beautiful murals and polite, helpful staff.

The pool was closed which we didn’t know beforehand.

The outside chairs were very comfy! The River going by was very relaxing and peaceful! The little cabin by the river is like a home away from home! Hopefully we can come back next year!!! Thank You Johnnys for making our stay truly excellent!

The barbecue was plugged… But we cooked the steaks in butter! Butter makes everything better!!

There was no breakfast offered, which would have been nice, even coffee and a continentall breakfast. I enjoyed the outside space next ot the river and the proximity of being able to walk into the downtown core.

It may be time to upgrade some of the mattresses as one of the beds in our room the mattress was soft and hollowed out with weight. Also please add coffee stir sticks to the complimentary coffee bar, there was nothing touse to stir our coffee.

We have stayed here many times before and after flood of 18. We always have a group BBQ and sit around outside talking about all group motorcycle rides. Any year going or coming through grandforks will stay at Johnny's if possible

Sometimes mosquitoes but that's mother nature and we always carry spray.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location on the river was lovely, and it was great to have a patio. There is a lovely little private beach, which my dog loved. I would book again.

If you can, request a room with a carport. Summer in Grand Forks is really hot.

The newly renovated room was beautiful. I have always loved the location. the view of the river and the pool (it was too early for that during this stay) but now with the renovated rooms I love it even more.

The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been if there was a cabinet of something next to t he bathroom sink, as there is no counter space or storage for bathroom items at all.

Loved the location with lawns, trees, picnic tables, right beside the creek and walkable to town. The kitchenette was appreciated too. I also liked the retro feel, with the carports etc, but that it's totally modernized inside! Will definitely stay again! Also, we stayed last year as well, with our small dog, and found it very convenient pet-wise.

Nice clean room. Good amenities. Nice patio with chairs overlooking river. Grass lawn between room and river. Great room for the price. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Room had a very squeaky floor. Loud enough to be be awakened by others walking.

I have stayed here plenty of times and it’s mainly because of the staff, cleanliness and location. I wouldn’t book anywhere else in Grand Forks. My only suggestion would be quieter a/c units. The one we had was very loud.

We liked the modern look inside our room. The option of a ceiling fan or air conditioner was also a bonus. We had our dog with us and this motel is dog friendly..

There was only one pillow each on the bed and they were small pillows.
