We were lucky to score a room here when a mudslide stopped us on our way to Nelson. The staff were exceptional and friendly, and we couldn't be more grateful to be given the last available room. Overall we had a pleasant stay on a very cold and wet day. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, and the bathroom was tiny but clean and had some nice decorative touches.

The bed was on the small side and not the most comfortable, but I am a light sleeper and can be fussy with beds. The bathroom was not heated so on a cold day it was a little unpleasant.

Made a last minute booking and the queen room was the only room left. I expected a very basic room. It far exceeded any expectations. Clean, quiet, great staff, and the location we wanted. The weather was very hot, and the A/C worked great and was whisper quiet. Many extra touches made it a perfect stay. Will certainly rebook in the future

The room was clean, and had everything we needed. Nice to have an outside deck to eat and play cards on. They let us check in early which was really appreciated

It was a bit too small for us and all of our stuff. But that wasn’t a big deal. The grounds have a lot of wood and construction supplies, I guess they are renovating the place.

The administrator was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a good advice about local restaurants. We also liked the location close to the lake, comfortable beds, equipment available in the rooms.

The territory of the motel looked rather chaotic, but they were working on the improvements.

Location excellent for my purpose - quiet but near highway 3 and close to everything. Very friendly staff / owner who went out of way to make my stay enjoyable including lending me salt pepper and other seasoning for the facility barbecue from their personal supply.

The location was very good. The staff was friendly and kept the facilities well maintained. It was peaceful.

I did not like the mattress and pillows on the bed.

Clean, cute, little extras, great bedding and decent towels. Set back from the road with shady places to sit or cook on a BBQ.

Walls a little thin but earplugs took care of it.

The bed was super comfy, and the staff were very pleasant and felt fresh with updated finishes. Also, a power bar is provided to allow easy charging of phones, etc.

Quiet place to stay en route to the coast. Good gluten free pizza and coffee shop with gluten free breakfast options 5 minutes away.
