The king room was a corner unit and it was very clean and spacious. It is located about two blocks (up a hill for those walking!) from the Main Street with all the shops, restaurants and pubs. They have a great gastropub on the main floor which we enjoyed the food and cheer there during our stay. The check-in was all done “remotely” through an email with a room access code, so it was smooth and easy to follow.

A heads up: the rooms are on the second floor, so you have to carry your luggage up a short set of stairs to access your room. We could actually hear some of the other rooms at times, so it is not overly soundproofed.

Great location at the north end of the downtown area. Easy free parking on the street to the side. Straight forward virtual check in (room number/code emailed). Spacious, tasteful, well equipped and very clean room. Comfortable bed, good shower. Pub downstairs has friendly staff, great food and good hours.

Digital keypad on the door was a bit unresponsive at first but worked with few vigorous taps. Bit of noise from the road in the morning, didn't trouble me but might some. AC unit worked well but was a little noisy.

When you rock up to the Flying Steam Shovel building you double check that you have the right booking but the inside is EPIC. We stayed in a lovely spacious double room with bathroom; they provide shampoo, body wash and conditioner alongside a fridge and coffee machine. We also got food at the restaurant downstairs which was incredible. Really great quality and quantity and super friendly service. The rooms aren’t serviced every day but the day we arrived they were super clean and in great condition. The instructions were clear although it took us a little while to work out the key pad situation; you have to press the Yale button at the top first. The location is brilliant with the centre of town a two minute walk away and there is AC in the room to cool off in summer.

The room was very clean and modern, everything worked well. Could have slept 4 in comfort. AC was great! Nice to have a fridge stocked with cream for my coffee (which was also provided) Having actual glass to drink out of was also nice. Plenty of towels for the capacity of the room!

No accessible plugs near the bed. if there had been 4 we would have fought over the one small 2-cup pot of coffee (as a single person it was fine).

The room was beautiful and cozy and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. It has the feel of a modern lodge and was very quiet, though located above a bustling restaurant. I wished I could have stayed longer. The locally roasted Seven Summits coffee was exceptional, so we walked to the shop and bought a bag to take home. The location was also convenient, just uphill from the main street in downtown Rossland. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant downstairs and breakfast at a local cafe.

The room was freezing cold when we arrived. It warmed up relatively quickly, but it would be nice to have it heated at least to a moderate temperature in advance of check-in time.

Tastefully appointed rooms, clean and in perfect condition, good size, great location in town and at the end of town that’s closest to skiing. Easy 7 minute drive to the mountain. No noise from the lively bar/restaurant below. Fully automated check-in/check-out. Free parking right outside.

No ski room/storage, no elevator but only one flight of stairs

The room was fresh and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the coffee was great. I visited the pub on two occasions and found the staff and food exceptional.

I was concerned by the appearance of the building’s exterior. But when I walked in the door all my reservations disappeared. The room was exactly as presented in the online photos!

The renovated rooms are very well thought out and comfortable. Chic yet still remaining humble. Room 6 was designed in such a way that the bathroom placed in the middle of the room served as a divider between the 2 double beds providing privacy if wanted and at best separation from a noisy (snorer) partner.

The air conditioner unit in room 6 although works well during the heat wave, requires a little tlc. It sounds like an uninsulated dishwasher from the 70’s.

Loved the set ip of this room with the bathroom between the two beds. The bar below brought our dinner up to our room complete with cutlery and condiments. Check in was easy as was parking on the street. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay

Historical inn with beautifully renovated rooms. Centrally located. Restaurant downstairs was awesome too!

This wasn’t an issue for us, but since this is an older building there are no elevators (for those who have accessibility issues).
