I loved this inn. It is exactly as advertised. There are six rooms. With guest start skiing they often hang out by the fireplace and get to know each other. The hot tub is enchanting. The staff is lovely.

The shower was tiny, but I knew this going into it. I wish there was a place to cook, but I also knew there wouldn’t be so I wasn’t disappointed by this

Red Shutter Inn is a funky old-school ski lodge. Very clean and comfortable. Location is short walk past one hotel building to the lifts and main RED base lodge. Parked in front of Inn. For slope-side lodging, it is a very good value, especially for serious skiers. Host is friendly and attentive, and lives on-site. We will stay again.

The inn was very welcoming and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of our room as previous reviewers commented that the rooms were small. Yes they were on the small side but there was plenty of space to store bags and lots of hooks to hang things on. The beds were comfy- I slept really well. Also, the shampoo/conditioner provided smelled great! I really enjoyed being able to walk to the lifts. The hot tub was so welcoming after a hard day of skiing.

There was coffee/tea available in the common area but no mugs or paper hot cups to use. Obviously this is a very small thing and didn’t put a damper on our stay in any way.

Everything! Great common room, hot tub. Cozy room and beds. Nice staff and friendly guests and close to everything you need!

Can't go wrong with location as it's right at the base of the hill. Lodge sitting room was extremely cozy and access to the hot tub was great. Would've been nice to know there was a lodge cat, might not work for some people but Red was a pleasure to sit with1

Rooms are a little on the dated side and are fairly small for 2 people with ski bags and gear. Washroom is also fairly small. I would imagine if the lodge was full it could be quite noisy as the walls are super thin and our room was against the common room where there were a number of people hanging out as we were going to bed. At the end of the day, we aren't spending much time in the lodge so it worked well for what we needed.

Great on ski hill location . More like a hostel, with a wood stove in the living room and sitting to chat with fellow skiers.

Small room but comfortable with your own bathroom..

The resident cat (Red) is the most sociable cat we've ever met, but not bothersome. A great greeter! The building has a ton of character and it is very cozy.

There is no plug for the hairdryer close to the mirror or there is no mirror close to the plug. :-) Nothing else. Everything else was great.

The outside hot tub. The cozy fire. The renovated bathroom. The proximity of the resort. Literally 3 min walk.

Feels like a hostel.

Absolutely wonderful, highly recommended!! Walk to the the ski hill, welcoming staff, very warm, clean and comfortable rooms! Hot water, coffee maker, cozy common room with a fireplace. Ski boot holder downstairs, so nice!

Nice and cosy, lovely people all around, exactly what you want on ski holiday.
