Quiet location and the property is so beautifully landscaped and cared for. Our hosts were very welcoming and the suite had everything you could need. Plus, the craftsmanship of all the built-ins and furniture was incredible. And the breakfast was out of this world! Everything homemade and beautifully presented and 5-star delicious. This stay was truly a highlight of our trip and I am so grateful that Gordon and Todd were willing to share their lovely home with us for a night.

We loved it all, but it wouldn’t be suitable for those who can’t manage stairs.

This beautiful hand crafted home was like a slice of heaven. We indulged ourselves in an extravagant backyard garden and then rested in a gorgeous patio with a glass of wine. Our room came with an extremely comfortable bed and exquisitely hand made furniture by our hosts. We were greeted by our hosts in the morning with delicious hot coffee, homemade preserves and a baked apple from the garden, freshly picked raspberries and an omelette made with eggs from their chickens laid yesterday. In short, this is what we look forward to in a BnB. Although we were 1800 miles from our home in the US, we would most definitely return if we can. Thank you to our new friends, Gordon and Todd.

The hosts were very hospitable, most helpful, and so interesting! Their home was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The well-designed, lovingly tended garden was a delight! Breakfast included their own produce - eggs and fruit - from the garden, and was exceptional! This b&b is a gem!

Great conversations with the wonderful hosts while enjoying the most delicious breakfasts. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms immaculate and comfortable. Opening the shutters to a glorious view every morning set the day off to a great start. Thank you!!

The owners were very knowledgeable and friendly.

The property was very clean and very well kept. The outside garden was amazingly well kept and we were allowed to walk through the garden and we really enjoyed spending time looking around the garden.

The inside and outside were beautiful and well maintained. Every breakfast was a foodie’s delight. Gordon and Todd are amazing hosts with great stories and laughter. Very enjoyable.

Breakfast was wonderful and varied (we were there 3 days). The owners were very hospitable, and had lots of good information to share with us about the area and people (to help us with what we were doing in the area). We had space to socialize with our friends who were also staying there. The garden is lovely, as is the area in general...we love the West Kootenays! There was a desk area where I could set up my laptop computer. There were lots of plugs in the room for charging cell phones and other technology as needed. The house was very secure when we went out.

Our hosts were fantastic! We had great conversations, learned about some of the rich history in the area that has us intrigued to return so we can spend more time to experience and explore. The room was clean, beautifully built and finished including hand made furniture from trees on his Dad’s property and it very well appointed. The yard and landscaping showed real passion and pride and was a pleasure to take in. The breakfast was delicious, made with fresh eggs from their own chickens and ingredients grown from their garden, including their own strawberry preserves that still make my mouth water thinking about it. The recommendation to have dinner at Pino’s in Trail was spot on and we were introduced to some of the very best authentic Italian cuisine we know of. We have definite plans to return again and hopefully soon.

If there is a downside, it is that restaurants are a drive away to either Castlegar or Trail, but it is a nice and easy drive that gave us a chance to explore some more.

The breakfast and conversation were excellent! The back yard was so beautiful and peaceful. I wish we had more time to sit and enjoy nature and hear the birds sing.

The uniqueness of the expansive English style garden provided a beautiful opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine or spend time in reflection. The interior contains handmade wooden furniture, special historical items and an ambiance that provides peace and a welcoming atmosphere.
