Widndgate was just a stop over on the way to Whistler from Jasper and it served its purpose very well. We were checked in quickly and guided to the hotels facilities, which were excellent. The pool and hot tub were unexpected as was the complimentary breakfast. The guest laundry was very handy and there were petrol (gas) stations very close as well as nice places to get a meal. I feel the hotel was very well placed to accomodate overnight and longer stay guests

With regards to the breakfast i did not like that they had "Turkey Bacon" which is not bacon but caters to a minority.

Clean, comfortable, efficient room, tasteful decor. Clean, unique bathroom - great shower! Appreciate Dove toiletry products - seemed above the usual generic hotel brands Comfortable beds and pillows Great pool room, pool and hot tub great temperature, clear water, salt not chemical a plus, clean, modern design, warm shower, small but very enjoyable. Exceptional amount of options for breakfast, decent taste, good seating options

The only portion of the stay that was not positive was the tv. It was a surprise and disappointment that there was only basic cable, no guide available, majority of channels were french and/or repeating sports channels, no opportunity for casting from our devices. We saw an HDMI connection option, but weren't aware of it beforehand to bring the necessary cords. This was truly our only negative of the whole stay.

Really enjoyed staying here and was pleased it was out of the main town but enjoyed the walk in was a bit of a trek back. There are some good restaurants close to the hotel Kimchee (Japanese) was the best food I have had so far in Canada and its only round the corner from the hotel. Breakfast was great value the gym was small but clean. Big shout out to Sean on reception very helpful snd welcoming a credit to the hotel

Everything about this hotel was really good! The staff, room and amenities in and around the facility made our stay exceptional. For us, the cleanliness of the hotel really stood out. We have been on the road for the last week and a half, and let me tell you... Not all hotels are created equal. Well done Wingate, Kamloops!

Parking was a bit scarce. Thought there should be more options for parking for such a large facility. That being said, we didn't have any issues finding a spot.

I loved the location. I didn't have to go right in to town and everything you need is in walking distance ie drugstore, dollar store, restaurants, etc. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. I loved that they have laundry facilities because we were able to dry our bathing suits after swimming. We liked that there was a pool and hot tub. I loved that they have underground parking so I felt safe to leave my vehicle there. I like that they offer complimentary breakfast.

Really I think the only thing that was a slight inconvenience was the pull out bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. Although, if I'm really nit picking, the pool is quite small and there wasn't really room to swim with all the little kids doing cannonballs and jumping in.

The room was very nice with a full range of facilities. There was even an iron and ironing board. It was quiet and well lit. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good with a nice shower (no bath). The towels were large and fluffy. The breakfast was plentiful and adequate. The feee underground parking was useful. There was no restaurant but it was an easy walk to several. And it was close to a great little mall.

The lobby was dark and not very welcoming, though the staff were great. The breakfast room had all throwaway utensils and plates/bowls. I know this is the case in many Chain hotels but times are changing and this should too.

Good location for overnight stopover. EV charger was great to have. Nice to have breakfast provided. Beds were comfortable and loved being able to open the window.

I found the card requirement for going down in the elevator after checking out awkward. I left the card in the room then couldn’t go down in the elevator to the parking lot. And I couldn’t go back into the room. I had to call the emergency in the elevator so could go to the front desk to get a card. Security is important but this was annoying.

Big spacious room and lovely bathroom with shower. Very comfortable bed. All seemed very new and nicely decorated

Breakfast was not good. Also was appalled to see they use paper plates and plastic knives and forks. We haven’t had plastic knives and forks in the shops in Australia in ages. Also instead of having a jug of milk for coffee they have these silly little plastic packets to undo. Surely a dishwasher isn’t that expensive. They had a girl to wipe tables. She could just load the dishwasher . Likewise in the shower silly little packets of shampoo etc

We stayed here to break up the drive from Revelstoke to Vancouver. Hotel was in a great location for us situated just off highway 1. Secure underground parking. Room was spacious and nice and clean. Just what we needed.

The local area appears to be catering for travellers passing through on highway 1. Lots of hotels/motels all in a row. Nice enough for an overnight stay but I’d probably want to be closer to town centre if I was staying here for a longer period as there didn’t seem to be a great deal of choice of quality restaurants locally.

Quick check in, room was clean and a good size. Theres a microwave and fridge in there which could prove useful Gym was v small and pool was too cold for me, but they were facilities I wasnt necessarily expecting. The hotel is within a small group of others up on a hill outside Kamloops, it was quiet, but not really walkable to the town unless you fancied a long hike. There is underground and above ground parking, fuel stations right next door which is convenient if, like me, you were stopping off on a longer journey, one of which had a 7/11.
