The amazing staff prepared the room very well, with thoughtful touches added for my celebration. They were helpful, friendly, attentive for various things we requested, from drinks to travel tips in the area. You can really tell when hotel staff has high morale, positive attitude, and motivation to provide guests with an exceptional experience. The comfortable and clean room, the exceptional view from the room, and the maintenance of the property was also exceptional, which we notice in every detail. We loved our stay and will be sure to stay again. Very appreciative of all the staff there

Ihad a fantastic experience staying at this hotel. The property was spotless and very well maintained — I was genuinely impressed by the cleanliness throughout. The room was comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out to me was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and taken care of. It made a huge difference in the overall experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel. Thank you for a great stay!

Our entire stay was magical! Waking up to songbirds, walking through the garden in the evening with little frogs croaking in unison, and the property sparkling with tiny lights. The interior surpassed our expectations - our bed was the most comfortable we've slept in, the view was fantastic, the tub divine. (We extended our stay and stayed in two separate rooms - both were equally lovely.) We booked our next stay before we even made it home :)

There was the odd hiccup (i.e. we did wait longer than expected for our meals to arrive when dining at Alpina - keeping in mind it was the Mother's Day brunch), but the staff, without being asked, went out of their way to make it up to us with generosity and kindness. We were very impressed!

The hotel is beautiful. It is set in fabulous manicured grounds and has breathtaking views. The rooms were palatial with giant a 2-person tub, enormous beds and a grand balcony. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was Michelin starred. But, ultimately, those views across Vancouver Island to the Gulf Islands, Washington State and Mount Baker, then down to Victoria, were unbelievable. We never wanted to leave and really want to return as quickly as we can.

Can’t think of a thing that they could do to make it better. It was perfect.

One of the most gorgeous views! The hotel is clean, updated, and includes top notch service. Our room had both a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace which made for a truly lovely experience and an exceptional value. The staff were very accommodating and gladly granted any of our requests. We stayed nearly 20 years ago for our tenth anniversary. It was lovely to visit again and see how it’s changed. We loved our time here. Breakfast at Alpina Restaurant was also delicious and the wait staff were friendly and superlatively attentive!

Would have loved to have robes in our room. Unfortunately, they were not available. The bed, although reasonably comfortable, was a touch firm for my taste.

Everything about this property was impressive. It was beautiful, clean, and had amazing staff. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We were so glad we stayed here and ate here. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, and friendly. Front desk staff checked us in early (though we could not yet access our room) but promised to call and let us know when the room was ready, which they did. The front desk clerk gave us vouchers for the Malahat Skywalk, which saved us time and money at the actual venue, and gave me extra decaf coffee pods when I asked for them. The restaurant menu was diverse and the service prompt and efficient. Food was cooked to perfection. Staff had no issues letting us eat earlier than our reservation, which we appreciated. We enjoyed this mini get away immensely and we will be back to try out the pool and the indoor fitness facilities. The view from our room was AMAZING!

I could not get the Nespresso machine in our room to function and had to forgo trying it; the guests in the room above us were noisy.

Overall the experience exceeded my expectations and was a great value. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the island. The view from my room was breathtaking and I had a large balcony. I plan on coming back with my family in the near future.

My only issue was that shower door does seal at the bottom and there was a puddle on the floor I had to clean up after, oh and the frogs or toads were quite loud at night. I have one recommendation I decided not going to the restaurant as the prices were a bit steep. Maybe consider giving a discount or gift card to the guests of the resort, I wanted to eat there but if I did for all meals it would have added like $250 to my costs and there isn't a cheaper option on site. I chose to goto local places instead saving alot of money and it was also quality food, but I would have liked to eat on site to save the complicated drives to go very short distances on the hwy and heard the food was good at your restaurant.

What a lovely & nice resort, very clean, location easy to find, staff are lovely.

They dont provide microwave, which is soo sad. This resort not close to any restaurant from outside, so I brought some snack & easy food for eat but I have to use microwave. Called them, they said will send to my room. But end up they said you have bring ur food to the lobby, I was wondering why this BIG and NICE resort not provide microwave? I have to give a rate 9/10. If its comes with microwave for sure I d like to give 10!

Breakfast was excellent . Location was great . The master suite was beautiful but the bedroom lacked a chair or other furniture pieces. Very sparse. No where to put any clothing that was removed for the evening ( housecoat etc)extra items, my purse, jewellery except on the floor. There should have been a dresser & chair in the bedroom Master bedroom toilet had a very unpleasant, foul smell. Hot tub was amazing touch. Loved the balcony & the view.

Our dinner on our 1st evening was very poor- tasteless mush We both said that we have never had a meal anywhere to our 70+ years that was so objectionable. The 2nd evening we ate in Victoria at a less expensive but beautiful restaurant & had an amazing meal. The staff were fantastic. All the stairs to our suite were difficult for seniors. Very much appreciated the help to have our luggage taken up to our suite. Not your fault, but the wasps were a deterrent to sit Outside & enjoy the balcony & view.

Wonderful resort off the beaten path. Very spacious rooms with great views. The staff was amiable and accommodating.

The push to reserve a restaurant spot when there was barely anyone at any hour. The food was decent, but I wouldn't mention that the chef is Michelin-trained and then feature Schnitzel on the menu. The pool was underwhelming at 1.2m depth and pretty hot inside. Being close to the highway, I can't consider it a quiet location. For some reason, my master suite was missing all the wall decorations; maybe a raccoon stole them. All vents are way past their due date. They were making all kinds of weird noises. The beds are weirdly tall, and climbing gear was not provided. Landscaping could use more budget. It looks pretty sad, especially the eye sore of a parking lot where the trucks are parked.
