Not just this property: why do pet rooms assume you don’t want/need a clean floor? Probably my biggest frustration when travelling is that they don’t have clean floors in pet friendly rooms! WTH? I used to bring in my own cleaning cloths - now, I just use one of their hand towels to mop the floor - but I shouldn’t have to. It is my biggest pet peeve: I have to pay extra (but you don’t with kids - and THEY do make a mess) but you don’t get a clean floor. This is pretty well any and every ‘pet friendly room that I’ve stayed in anywhere….

The courtyard area is beautiful and welcoming. A really pleasant place to relax and hang out when you don't need to be in the room. Unfortunately, neither the pool nor the hottub were working, which was a real disappointment. With a little more upkeep and TLC, this place would be amazing. The tables in the courtyard were nice to be at in the evening. We have fond memories of this place from years ago, and still enjoy staying there. Just wish things worked. Great price however.

The pool and hottub not being available; the breakfast was marginal. The pancake machine didn't work on our last two visits. Both were a real disappointment for children, as well as adults.

This was a pleasant surprise of a hotel. The staff were wonderful, the accommodations are clean, albeit a bit aged in spots, and the beds were comfy. As someone travelling with a couple, I appreciated access to a room within a room so we could be together then have our own space. The interior is a trip - it is filled with beautiful plants (real, I checked) and lots of seating areas and a great pool. As someone who was getting up at 6:00/7:00 am to work while the couple I was with slept in, I appreciated having the option of seating areas outside of the room. They weren’t on a main pathway so I didn’t feel in the way and I appreciated the choice of seating and view. The other surprise was the cost. I’m from Vancouver and enjoy the prices of accommodations halfway up in BC (or more Northern) but this was definitely the best deal on our 11 day trip. You definitely get value for money. We were so impressed, we’ll be staying here on our way back.

The breakfast needs improving. I’d usually mark them down 1 for the sad offering but their hot chocolate and interior more than made up for it.

I remember this place when it was Esther's Inn, forever ago. Has always been a great place. Now it is an AMAZING place. The cleanliness is top notch, and the staff is always cleaning. Our location of 153 was perfect for pool access and had 2 beds with 2 bathrooms and a separate bedroom. I recommend this to anyone going to PG. The restaurant does service ethnic cuisine, and the aromas stayed in the restaurant and didn't invade the rest of the building. There is also music (80s/90s rock) that plays innthe common area garden, very nice, not too loud but still able to enjoy it.

Unfortunately the hottubs werent open for use, which was a big negative for our stay. With the inside room there are no outside windows for cross stream air flow, and the room was quite warm....but there were fans to help. The rock beds need water and maybe koy fish to finish it off, or just water to make it complete.

Our room was bigger than expected, with two beds in the back room and one in the front. The fridge had room for lots of food and the beds were comfortable.

There was no where to hang towels, the one towel rail in the bathroom kept falling off it's hook. Breakfast was basic but the coffee was good.

The staff were friendly. The hotel is located in a central location close many restaurants.

I wish they had a kettle in the breakfast area in the morning because I eat oatmeal for breakfast, You can only get hot water out of the coffee machine and lineup is long because everyone wants coffee with their breakfast in the morning.

room location and room size. When one of the staff immediately brought me an extra blanket when I requested one and it was really late.

room heater didn't keep me warm enough on a chilly northern night and the housekeeping ladies were talking so frikin loud it woke me up!!! and it was early!!!! Geez!!! I was bummed that I couldn't use the hot tub. :(

We noticed the breakfast was high carb with no protein choices, ie eggs or meat sources. High sugar cereal, yogurt, white bread, no peanut butter, only jam offered for toast. Coffee was good.

Did not like Breakfast choices. Hotel desk attendants were nominally friendly but not exceptional. Used sauna- very good. The hot tub was not available to use and there was no explanation as to why.

Easy to find. Very handy parking. Clean. Really appreciated countertop & sink for coffee making, food storage & MDM size fridge. Good beds. Clean. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, especially Thomas at front desk and man-about-everything! Better than average continental breakfast.

Eating area was very warm.

Location, and friendliness of staff, they take care of your needs right away, the beds are comfortable and the location is handy to everything.

The continental breakfast could run just a little bit later, maybe til 10 would be more convenient. The 2 slice toaster is not enough slices, and not enough variety for putting on toast ie: adding peanut butter and a variety of flavors of jam. Would also be nice to have bagels and cream cheese.
