The Grizz is a very unpretentious little hotel, graded 1 star, but it does all the things we needed it to do. Reception was polite, cheerful and told us everything we wanted to know. The room was quite large, with 2 queen beds which were very comfortable. The bathroom was a reasonable size, plenty of hot water. The unit was clean. Breakfast the next morning was continental, but included boiled eggs as well as the usual yogurt, bread, cereals, tea and coffee, so we were able to have a good breakfast before leaving the next morning

The bathroom had little storage space for guests’ toiletries, so I was perching things on little ledges all over. This is not a complaint specific to The Grizz - most hotel rooms that I stay have this problem, which is frustrating because the solution is cheap and simple. Put up a couple of shelves

The hotel is located in a quiet area of downtown and has plenty of parking. It is very close to all of the excellent restaurants that you can enjoy in Revelstoke. The rooms are clean and have been tastefully refreshed. The bathrooms are excellent with modern facilities and large showers. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Check in and out is quick and efficient. We stayed for one night and returned for a second time on our return trip. We will definitely stay here again. This hotel has a “feel like home”vibe.

The breakfast was the only negative aspect of this hotel. In fairness a new restaurant may be under consideration. However, the current offerings can only be described as meager. The coffee is tasteless. Four dry cereals, white/brown toast, fruit juices and yogurt are available. If you are lucky, hard boiled eggs and fresh grapefruit sections might be available. The breakfast did not match the experience offered by the rest of the hotel.

Waterfall shower, breakfast. Location was great for access to the main street and a 6 minute walk to the grocery store.

The room had no luggage rack or hangers. It was nice to have wall hooks but these don't really do as good a job as hangers and a luggage rack. The room also had no microwave. The only Grizzly motif seemed to be the big sign out front. A stuffed grizzly would be a bad idea, but eventually a few paintings or photos in the lobby would be nice. These are minor issues and the stay was a success with things the way they are.

There is a basic breakfast included and this worked well. There is lovely cold drinking water provided near the lobby and the property was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and tried hard to help with any requests and it was good value for money.

It is terrific there is a washing machine and dryer but the hotel was quite full when we were there and they probably need to have an additional washing machine and dryer to reduce wait times for the washing facilities.

Wonderful experience staying at the hotel. Everything in the room was new, clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good location, large parking lot. There is a delicious continental breakfast, which is very convenient. I liked the interior of the hotel in Asian style, the staff was friendly and gave clear information about staying at the hotel. I definitely recommend it!

Not very good soundproofing, everything could be heard from the next room. Also they take a 200 CA deposit.

Easy check in although parking was very full when we arrived. Easy to walk to food and concessions from the hotel. Good access to trails. Nice room and beds. Well appointed and in good condition all around. Friendly staff. Breakfast was included thanks to Booking.com. Breakfast didn't have a lot of offerings, but was fine to get us started. They even had a room near the lobby where we could check in our mountain bikes so we didn't have to leave them on the car overnight.

We really enjoyed the central location and how easy it was to walk around. Also, the hotel was pretty, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were extremely kind to us. Perfect place to stay on a road trip.

First, the AC in the room was not very strong at all, and we needed to set it to turbo in order to feel the air at all. Second, the breakfast was very slim pickings with no hot options whatsoever. It's enough to give you breakfast, but something to consider if you're expecting more.

Great little independent hotel with lots of personality. Asian inspired art and decor in the common areas, which was a refreshing change from the bland, boring of chain hotels. The bathroom was freshly renovated, and the shower was top notch. Bed was comfy. A/C worked great. Room was clean. Restaurant food was good - menu is pretty basic.

Parking lot seemed to be partially full with bar patrons, so we had to park in the overflow area, which mean carrying our luggage rather far. Add to that no elevators and we were on the second floor, so not ideal. If you've got mobility issues, stick to the ground level.

Great location, and overall well maintained hotel. Complimentary wifi and included breakfast, though we slept in and didn't partake in the breakfast. Lots of sofas and seating in the hallways and lobby.

The pillows were too fluffy for one guest's preferences. Could hear footsteps from the upper suite, and conversations outside our door. There were some stains on the bed linen. Some deterioration in our washroom ceiling paint, and the vanity surface adjacent to the shower.

Location. Location. Location. Right in the middle of everything. Easy to walk the town and it is a lovely little downtown with everything we could need very close by. The room was clean and comfy and the management kindly accommodated our need to change dates last minute. The bed was soooo comfy, like sleeping on a pillow. We pulled the sheets back to take a picture of the tag on the mattress so we can purchase one for ourselves.

Breakfast was mediocre, no fresh fruit or yogurt that I could find There were evidently elephants in the room above us...they kept stomping around over our heads half the night.
