Great location with secure parking, decent pool, hot tub and fitness room. The kitchenette was very handy for our daily breakfast. Right next to Douglas (Trans Canada Hwy) but quiet at night. We made use of the laundry facilities (CDN$2 for wash, CDN$2 for dry). There is a Denny's in the hotel, a beer/liquor store next door and a gas station behind the property.

We had a suite with 5 people in it. The room was fine but we found that the air con near the beds didn't quite cool the sitting area (where the sofa bed was used. There were ceiling fans in both areas of the room but air movement wasn't ideal.

The room was great for our short trip to Victoria, as the room had 2 x double bed plus a kitchenette and sofa area. It was about 10-15 mins walk into downtown Victoria, so we didn't need the car whilst there. The room was really clean and modern, and kitchenette had everything we needed. We also tried the swimming pool which was nice. Air conditioning was also welcome as it was unseasonably warm for our visit.

Not the hotel's fault at all but it is on a very busy main road into Victoria. The hotel room was pretty well sound-proofed but we could hear the loud road noise and other guests at times.

My stay was perfect! Clean, comfortable and quiet room. The kitchenette was very helpful for us, and when we didn’t want to prepare food we popped down to the Dennys, which was delicious and incredibly convenient. Because we com from so far, we always check-in so late at night, but the staff are always so nice and really help check-in go smoothly. The shower has good pressure for rinsing conditioner out of long hair, and the bed! I love the soft sheets and lots of pillows at the end of a long drive. I usually park outside with all the flower bushes/trees because of the size of my truck, and have never had troubles finding a good spot.

Honestly, we liked everything. I regret that I didn’t have more time to enjoy the other things (pool/tub etc.) this visit.

Our first room was a room where animals had been in, but I did not know that. I ended up getting quite sick. When I asked about the room I was told that the 2nd floor is reserved for pets. They gladly and immediately moved us to another room. The staff were all so friendly and helpful!! Ms. Ore was "sunshine" no matter when we entered the lobby!

The Sandman Inn is a standard hotel that has everything you need for a mid-priced weekend getaway. The location worked well for what we wanted to do, the staff were lovely, and it had a nice kitchenette. We stay here often and generally meet some very nice people.

If you have a heavy walker in the suite above you, you can really hear every step they take. As for everyone else no problems.

I like the room that we stayed. Very comfy and with kitchenette, everything was complete.

The property was outdated. The pool has too much chlorine as well as the hot tub too. My face got irritated, my son and husband too. But that’s okay, we just have a sensitive skin. Pool surroundings are very dirty, you can see the lewd around the hot tub and I was just wondering why the hot tub had bubbles? So I asked the maintenance that time, I forgot his name. He said that it’s okay.

The big spacious room and the pool facilities. Having the Denny’s there was great too. The staff were great (Louise) made sure to get us a room even though we weren’t in the system (had a copy of my registration from booking.com).

When I checked in, my reservation hadn’t gone through on their system even though I had booked it a week prior.

The beds were comfortable. The staff were pleasant and the location is good

The linen in the room was clean but it looked like some dried blood drops by the bathroom sink. there were homeless people and prostitutes hanging around the parking lot at night with 2 cars getting broken into the one night.

Oh we missed breakfast, didn’t know there’s free breakfast? The location is great! Very close to downtown and walking distance to transit stops.

I wasn’t able to sleep properly because the AC and the ceiling fan kept making squeaky noises

The hotel was clean and well presented, staff were friendly and helpful. Location was a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and there are a couple of excellent breweries along the way if you get thirsty during the walk.

The restaurant was closed for renovations and the roof was being repaired so there was some noise in the morning. Not really too much of a down side but if you're considering a stay soon, keep it in mind.
