My partner and I stayed here together, and it is the nicest place either of us has ever stayed (and we have traveled a lot). At the time of booking we had requested to be put in a room with a nice view, if it was available. The hotel almost immediately replied saying they would be happy to! We booked a King suite with a balcony, and they gave us a corner room so that we had twice the view as a regular room! Every employee was beyond friendly and kind, and always made sure to ask if we were having a nice stay. The room was immaculate, cozy, and colourful. I noticed that the artworks on the walls on our floor are actually painted by an artist (I am Eelco) and not just mass-produced artworks. You can see the spray paint strokes! I found that so exciting because Canvas obviously values art/artists and doesn't cut corners in any aspect. We tried out the rooftop restaurant (The Palette), Gahan House, and Bar 55. Every meal we had was incredible. We also looked around the Experience ANBL and the employees there went out of their way to help us and were very kind.

The only thing we had trouble with was hooking up my laptop to the TV in our room. It was a bit hard to find the HDMI port since the TV doesn't extend from the wall, and then there were no accessible nearby outlets to plug in my laptop so we had to stretch both the HDMI cable and charging cable to their maximum length to reach the nearest outlet. It wasn't that much trouble but maybe you could bring an extension cord if you are planning on watching something from your own device. (The TVs can access Disney+, Netflix, etc. but we don't have an account with any of those streaming services).

Very comfortable beds and pillows. Good temperatures. Very clean and appointed hotel.

When I checked in, I asked if I could get a room with a tub as I was struggling with back and neck pain and would have appreciated a tub. The young lady checking me in told me she didn't know what rooms had tubs. She asked, a girl whom appeared to be a senior staff member, who said rather abruptly just come out of there and go back in. She did not offer the young lady and guidance therefore the young lady did not make any effort to address my ask and sent me on my way......with a room without a tub.

I love staying at this hotel. Great rooms. Great location.

When I booked I requested a room with a work space and I paid a higher rate for a onsite credit. Initially the front desk staff would not entertain my question/request for the onsite credit however in the end a credit was given to me but not without inquiring a couple of times. The room I was given did not have a work space but due to being uncomfortable trying to work on the bed I had requested to change rooms with a work space. This request was granted but I wonder why I wasn't assigned such a room in the beginning. Overall...my needs were eventually met and all is good!

Breakfast was excellent, but it wasn't clear when I reserved whether it would be included in price.

There was confusion with my original reservation but staff was excellent on the phone getting it cleared up. The staff members upon arrival however, were cold/ stand off-ish, just this side of dismissive/' rude.

The room was large and quite nice with a sort of modern mid-century feel. High ceilings and a large bathroom. The lobby and other areas were also nice and larger than expected. Parking was convenient (although an extra charge). The cafe was reasonably priced.

Honestly, not much. I was impressed as were other guests I knew.

Quiet room with very comfortable bed.

The 2 charging station for the electric car are operated by a third party and did not function the second night. We didnt appreciate all the taxes and fees associated with our stay. eg a tourism levy which is again taxed with HST.

Immediately you walk into the hotel there is a whiff of an awesome scent and then the room has the same scent - it so wonderful to walk into a hotel, or any accommodations for that matter, that smells so good! The Staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and I love the wet room with a nice big bathtub and great shower! The kettle is an added bonus. I do wish that the sofa was larger - a sectional and coffee table would be nice. Also, a place (other than a fancy glass) to put toothbrushes.

Better coffee and coffee machine in the room! I didn't realize how noisy the area was, especially on a Saturday night. The outside noise is really audible in the room - if you are a light sleeper, earplugs are a must.

Everything was great, the only exception was that at check-in, we were informed about the hotel restaurant and live music taking place that evening, but were not advised that we required a reservation as hotel guests. When we went up for drinks around 9 pm, we were advised they could not accommodate us. Had we been advised of the requirement, we easily would have made a reservation, but ended up going elsewhere.

Luxurious feel at a reasonable price, close to city centre. Beautiful rooftop bar. Cafe for breakfast in the lobby with mouthwatering options. Gahan House restaurant is on the main floor also, if you’re looking for a higher end meal.

Having a pool would be a plus. but the hotel is wonderful, so not having one isn’t a deterrent.

This hotel was immaculate, stylish and had everything one would need for a wonderful stay. Really liked the fact that elevator required your room key to activate, adding a level of security I’ve not experienced anywhere before!

Parking was not optimal considering that you have to pay for it.
