The breakfast was excellent - a selection of fresh fruit and juices; coffee homemade banana bread and a hot breakfast to order - eggs as we liked; meat (bacon or sausage) or pancakes. The table and dining room were lovely and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests. Parking was convenient and the host offered tips for our afternoon travels - it was very helpful. The location was super convenient for exploring the town of Mahone Bay. The air conditioner was a window mount and cooled off the room very quickly; the windows opened for fresh air which we used the following day when it was less warm/humid.

Lovely old home run solely by Thomas with great hospitality. Room was nice with en-suite bath. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order by Thomas himself. Lovely little town not far from Lunenburg but in some ways just as much charm.

Right on Main Street so it was a little noisy at times. Step in bathroom almost caused a fall so take heed when stepping down - remember it’s there !

A gorgeous home inside and out, with a welcoming host. A beautifully appointed bedroom with original tasteful decoration. A delicious home made breakfast to start the day. Centrally located just across from the water, but quiet. Mahone Bay has a large choice of restaurants and shops, including the famous Amos Pewter, all a short walk from Fairmont House.

We loved the location - in a beautiful and charming little town on the bay. But Thomas (he did all the cooking) went far and above any expectation we've ever had for a "full breakfast"!! The dining room was elegant, the furnishings were eye-popping....but the spread on the table had everything anyone could ever want for a very full breakfast. Thomas asked us if we'd like eggs, pancakes, sausages, bacon, etc. in addition to what was already on the table. So, unbelieving, we asked for eggs and pancakes. We got to taste REAL Canadian 100% pure maple syrup - it was thick, dark, and had more flavor than any real maple syrup we've ever had in the USA.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights, along with our little border terrier Chico. We had a fabulous time, and Tom and Michael are both lovely hosts, and really want each guest to have an amazing stay. The rooms are spacious, and have everything you need to enjoy a wonderful stay. We had the king suite, and it had a nice water view, lovely bathroom, and nice cold air conditioning too…..very welcome after a long day exploring the sights and sounds of beautiful Mahone Bay. The location is perfect, as you can walk to great restaurants and great little shops dotted along the main road. There is also a quaint sitting room that had a fridge that guests could use to keep beverages or food cold. We really enjoyed this feature. Breakfast is amazing….fresh fruit, juices, coffee, yogurt, pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, and jams. We loved our stay here, and are already looking forward to staying there again, the next time we need to visit Mahone Bay.

I liked the decor...antiques. The serve was friendly and authentic. The location was ideal. They are pet friendly, which makes it ideal because we travel with a 12 year old chihuahua.

There was nothing that I did nor like.

The breakfast was available from 8am to 9:30am and the table was filled with so many options such as bowls of fresh fruit, smoked salmon, yougurt, cheese and cereal. Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage were available upon request. There was cereal on the side board as well as several juices, coffee or tea.

There wasn't much to dislike. The house was nicely decorated and the owners (Michael and Thomas) were friendly and helpful with suggestions for day trips or restaurants nearby. The property is located across the street from Mahone Bay and boasts a view of the water.

Our stay at Fairmont House was lovely. The property is beautiful and in a fantastic location. Michael was very welcoming and made us a lovely breakfast. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re nearby.

the host was excellent and couldn't do enough for us to make us comfortable. the breakfast was lovely, tasty and well prepared --fresh fruit, choice of bread (rye, whole grain etc), smoked salmon, cereal, eggs of choice etc). the host has owned and run the lovely Victorian home for the past 17 years as a B & B. The home and property are well maintained and he and his partner have a wonderful eye for colour, design etc. He has a large collection of antiques. We loved staying there and the small town of Mahone Bay is a delight.

My flight was delayed and I called to inform the owners. They were so understanding and did not seem put out at all. I arrived about 11 PM. I slept well and loved the room. Thomas provided a wonderful breakfast! My stay was additionally blessed because my suitcase was left in Montreal and I did not have anything warm to wear for a boat tour that I had scheduled. Thomas found something that was perfect and I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness!
