Location and staff were brilliant. A really easy walk onto the harbour and shops/restaurants are literally on the doorstep. The facilities are functional and suited for an overnight stay. It's not high end but it doesn't need to be for a short break.

Parking is tricky but the staff are really helpful. The double beds are a small double but perhaps choosing a queen or king room would have been a more suitable option.

The owner, his family and staff were exceptionally friendly. we were on first-name terms and it was a pleasure to come in and be greeted each evening. The breakfast, although extra, was substantial and good value at only $10. This is an old inn, one street up from the harbor in the historic district. I imagine the views from the the front bedrooms are spectacular, although I went for a small room at the rear as I was going to be out every day. There was a new AC unit, a small but functional bathroom, and fast WiFi.

The owner bought the property four years ago and is largely doing the renovations himself. There are still a few areas he hasn't reached yet, notably the stair carpet, but I am sure they are all in his plan.

The location is great; our room was clean, reasonably comfortable and very quiet; free parking was provided.

It was not exactly the best value, but I guess Lunenburg in general is a bit overpriced, so it's something specific to this place. We had essentially no view from our window - considering how quiet the street is, I'd rather go for a street/ocean view room.

Perfectly located in Lunenberg and a very pleasant place to stay. The couple that run the hotel gave us very helpful ideas about what to do during our stay and where to go next.

We lucked out on parking, but if we stayed longer it might have been a challenge- We never had to find out.

The downtown Lunenberg location was excellent- close to the wharf, restaurants and the museum. The room was lovely with newly renovated bathroom. The owner was very helpful and charming. The sushi restaurant next door was top notch. Elevator to upper floors.

Great location, right in the heart of Lunenburg. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was very small and had no view of historic Lunenburg, just a back alley and some rooftops. The entry steps are not up to code and would not be accessible. No on-site parking, we had to park in a laneway across the road. Breakfast is available, but not worth the price for what you get. We thought we were on the top floor, but there was a LOT of noise of footsteps that seemed to come from above our room.

Ideally located for kicking off a road trip around cape Breton from Halifax. Beautiful location, friendly staff and a good sized comfortable room.

Took a while to figure out how to turn the shower on. Sounds trivial but I was almost visiting reception to ask before I finally figured it out. A little sign or something would be helpful - others clearly had the same issue as the shower handle was very loose from being pulled and twisted in the wrong way. I swear I’m not an idiot - honest - it was just a bit non intuitive

Well located in the centre of Lunenberg with cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. Try to avoid the third floor where a seating area tempted noisy people to talk loudly early and late outside our room. Very nice staff.

We had a double room with a balcony but because of the weather we couldn't use it. The beds were comfortable and clean. The location in the town was excellent and the hotel had a parking lot close to it which was very convenient. The staff were very obliging and pleasant. I would recommend it to anyone.

At night there was a refrigerator truck or something with a refrigerating unit turning on and off and made a humming noise which was irritating.

Great location. Staff Fabulous. The breakfast was great. Coffee fantastic. Slow time of the year so after we checked out, Mike, the owner, offered us a complimentary tour of the town highlighting the history of the town. Already want to go back again.
