The hosts are very generous and welcoming. The guest house is surrounded by vast garden space to relax in the evenings or even sip your coffee in the mornings. During the dawn you can even spot some deers around (if you're lucky). The guest house is 10 minutes drive from Mahone Bay where you can find good restaurants and shopping spots. The breakfast is included and it is the star attraction of the stay. Joanna and Chris prepares the breakfast with all things local and homemade. It was great staying at the guest house and getting acquainted with such a kind and lovely couple.

We booked all our accommodations for this trip through Booking.com and got good accommodations except for this one. The room was very tiny. It couldn't even have one easy chair as there was not room. With our luggage we could barely walk around the bed. I am sure the room was no more than 8 feet by 8 feet. It would have been nice if booking .com could have given more info on this room.

Welcoming hospitality and a really good breakfast, as well as a lovely and helpful hostess who gave us some great tips on the area. Access to a self service area, that included a microwave, bottled water, umbrellas, beach towels and more, was also a nice plus.

We didn't love the dated bathroom with an offputting yellowing tub, nor the cobwebs here and there, but it was clean enough in general, especially if you care more about having lush gardens and nature close at hand.

Location was stunning. Absolutely gorgeous grounds and views. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfasts very good. The house had a very 'homey' feel.

Only flaw - the bed frame was enormous, slightly too large for the small room and we kept bumping into it. It looked good, but a different style of frame, with a smaller panel at the foot, would have made it easier to move around.

The Bayview Pines overlooks the Mahone Bay and is situated ~10 minutes by car from the small town. We stayed in the loft apartment which was large and airy. This apartment has windows on three sides which allowed cooling cross ventilation. There is a large, private balcony sitting area to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. It all provided for a very pleasant 3-day stay in the area.

A lovely stay with every morning a choice of eggs or Joghurt Musil, which just made your start in the day….delicious… The room was nicely decorated, cosy and comfortable. We would sit on the veranda and enjoy the view. We had a wonderful stay, visiting the area in Mahone Bay. Lovely town and we were lucky to be there for their Halloween festival. Our hosts were very informative and made our stay very welcoming.

Such a lovely B&B with very nice host Joanna and Craig. The room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. A plus, the coffee machine and small refrigerator. The breakfast room is absolutely beautiful and breakfast is excellent. We were there 4 nights and enjoyed very much .

Our first 2 nights were in a 2 room “apt,” very cozily furnished with amenities (coffee, tea, refrigerator) close by. There was a balcony off of the sitting room overlooking a grassy field and the bay in the distance. The remaining 5 days were in a spacious 3 room (and very clean bathroom) apt with kitchen, large bedroom and sitting / TV room - very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully furnished but I did miss having a large fry pan, glass storage containers for leftovers, and a vegetable peeler. 😬 However, there were lots of other pans available and everything was in excellent condition. I can’t say enough about how cozy everything was - after a day of sightseeing and riding in the car, it was really great to come home, get the PJs on, and settle down to a good movie on the comfy couches with a blanket! It was also nice to walk about their large property amongst the grove of pine trees, check out the vegetable garden or just explore the fields; it is just a beautiful property! OH! and they have a a fire pit and chairs along a little bit of the shoreline where you can have a fire and enjoy a sunset on the bay! awesome!!! 💖

When laying in bed one night, we were able to hear quite loudly the guests above us walking about. I don’t know if carpeting (or more of it) would help, but it was a bit annoying. I believe it was noticeable just one night.

Bayview Pines was a great base for us while visiting family in the area. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with every amenity you could need. Joanna and Chris were lovely hosts and made sure we always had everything we needed. We were there during the Perseids and the sky was stunning, capturing the Milky Way and many stars.

The location was great! Close to many small towns to explore and near the sights of Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg also near to the city of Bridgewater. But staying on the property with amazing views was best. We stayed in the loft apartment, great value and lots of supplies.
