Great waterfront location and nice to have the waterfront common area out back. Great spot for sunsets and some very foggy mornings! Also very good spot to access Peggy’s Cove and even Halifax.

Be aware - the space is small. We chose the least expensive room, which is shown in photos with a 2 seat bar at the window (no balcony) and the shower in the corner of the room. It’s essentially an efficiency. This is room 6 (they number from left to right, viewing the parking lot.). It’s also the middle room of the hotel so it’s wedge shaped and very tight for even two people. If we did it again, we’d have reserved one of the larger rooms. The other downside to this room is that the parking spaces for each room are not labeled so we often returned to find that others had parked in a way that squeezed us out of a spot near our room. Fortunately, we didn’t spend much time at the hotel so not a big discomfort.

Beautiful location, quaint decor. Very clean. Quiet. Nice sounds of the sea.

Our room lacked a chair. The two barstools did not cut it. Other rooms had a chair. There was only one chair on the balcony. Two would have been nice. My major complaint is that only one of the three rooms that I booked for our group had a balcony and from the description on booking.com, I was expecting all three rooms to have a balcony. This was awkward for the group, and I ended up refunding the people in the rooms without the balcony the difference in price. It was not the hotel's fault but clearly stating it on booking.com would have been nice.

The location was excellent. There was a variety of stores, Wal-Mart, Superstore, restaurants, etc, just 20 minutes away . There were also restaurants within walking distance. The bay was just outside our window, there were chairs so you could sit and watch the boats and sea life on the water, as well as the sunset. Absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, the pillow were like clouds, the best sleep I have had in a long time. I would recommend staying there and will return again in the future.

The view from the room across the bay was exceptional and we loved the wonderful sunsets. It was very convenient for Peggy’s Cove. Across the road, within walking distance was a lovely restaurant, outstandingly clean serving very good food at a reasonable price. The room had great seating both inside and out on the balcony and the large bed was comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. The bathroom was good.

Whilst it was clear from the description that the motel is not geared up for self catering, it was disappointing to find only paper and flimsy plastic beakers, despite there being an ice bucket by the side of them. A couple of glasses would have been appreciated along with a couple of mugs to make a decent cup of tea or coffee. No spoons either. Somewhat basic for the price in this respect.

This unpretentious, waterfront property gave us access to beautiful views, a rocky shore that is walkable, and the serenity of listening to the ocean's waves. That's the primary reason we visited Nova Scotia -- to enjoy the beauty of nature on the coastline. The staff was helpful when we needed something, but otherwise left us to enjoy the view. The room was clean and comfortable.

I have nothing at all to complain about. It delivered exactly what I expected. It was a joy to spend a couple of nights in a peaceful place so close to the shore.

Quiet... I travel with a white noise machine, but didn't need it here because it was so quite. Exceptional ocean view right out my window. Friendly staff...asked me every day if I needed anything.

Room needs a clock. Had to keep checking my cell phone to find out what time it was.

The view from the room was amazing! Literally ten feet from the water. The room was basic but was equipped well enough for our needs. There was bottled water in the room, which was a nice touch as well as a couple of welcome chocolates. The water was hot. The beds were pretty good.

No access to food on site which was an issue because pretty much all of Peggy's Cove closed down at 5:00. We had an ice cream cone for dinner that we bought at a general store down the road. This facility does not provide breakfast.

The view/ location was excellent. The only reason for not giving a 10, was the water (some odor). Unfortunately this is no reflection on the owner of property…..probably just the area’s water supply! We were provided bottled water & used that for coffee. We would definitely stay here again!

Location is wonderful

We wanted to change our reservation and person at desk said that was possible if we contacting booking.com which we did, but owner said they had to stay with agreement of seven days notice. We had to shorten our stay by one night. No refund even though I’m sure they could have booked it again. Be sure to check your cancel reservation clause.
