Amy at the front was so friendly and very helpful. She told us all about the area and where to go. There is a great little Keurig machine and kirkland coffee in the room. Things were in good condition and clean with lots of towels, soap etc. There is a pool too. We did not have breakfast there, so I can't speak to that. It is 2 min walk to Tim Hortons and Le Rouge restaurant, a wonderful restaurant. 😀 close to many other shops, restaurants, and right off highway.. awesome place.

I wish they did a bit better tidy up of room, ie; mirror, sink, and taps. Beds could have been a bit more well made. We still left a good tip though as nit a huge issue.

The location was great for getting on the highway to Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg etc. Shops and restaurants were a short drive away to pick anything needed. (Costco, Atlantic Super store, Walmart) Breakfast was included which helped to start our day.

I would like to recommend putting some picnic tables in the back. We were travelling with family on a budget and would sometimes pickup food at the end of the day. It would be nice to be able to eat somewhere other than our rooms.

Tucked away from the busy streets, coastal inn was cozy but also modern. I found the rooms to at least look like they were upgraded recently. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Each bed had four pillows. I really enjoyed the drive up room as it was easy to unload and load bags. Breakfast had a standard variety of rooms and was good for a free breakfast. It was just off the highway and only a short drive into downtown halifax. I found the price to be a bit steep, but it might just be to be expected for the Halifax area on a Saturday in the summer. Would recommend.

There wasn't any full length mirrors in the room as well only a mirror in the bathroom. The TV did have a classic cable style setup. Lots of hotels are going to the way of being able to cast to the TV which would have been nice. These are minor details but would have been nice to have.

Breakfast was simple, but good! Decent amount of options, waffles, French toast, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, toast and bagels. There was coffee, cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. something for everyone! Staff was friendly, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Decent amount of parking as well. There was also a pool that we didn’t have a chance to use, but we will next time!

Nothing, everything was perfect. The price was a bit high, however we did book a few hours after check in for that night and it happened to be a Friday. So if booked in advance I feel the cost would of been a better price :)

Helpful staff, good sized room, iron and ironing board as well as good hot water, large bed reasonably spacious room, parking at hotel and useful fridge! Fresh towels every day!

Bananas and apples ran out after first morning, otherwise breakfast was self service and ok! Could be less generous with the towels-I suggest you tell guests to leave dirty towels on the floor to save washing unnecessarily. Prefer to avoid disposables eg paper cups and plastic cutlery-more environmentally friendly. Also would like natural yogurt and fresh fruit at breakfast. Canada is famous for blueberries-we bought our own!

This location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! It’s a stone throw from the highway, shopping, cinemas, restaurants and only a short drive to downtown. What I liked best about the location is if you’re not an experienced highway driver, which can be scary, you can avoid them completely simply by turning right instead of left when leaving their parking lot. Within three minutes, driving along a slower-paced two lane road, you land among an array of everything you could possibly need. And absolutely no need to worry about taking a wrong turn and ending up on the highway! The staff were SO friendly and helpful. Very easy to talk to; made check-in swift; helped with directions; and even suggested movies we might like from our preferred genre (they have a DVD library). The room was VERY clean. I suffer with serious allergies and had no reactions at all. The king bed mattress wasn’t outdated, slouched or too hard/soft. Goldielocks would approve! Breakfast was great, not just boring carb heavy choices. The dining room was being restocked and cleaned while we were eating. We’ll definitely be back to this hotel whenever we have to travel to the IWK. Thank you!

The room with the swimming pool was very hot. It was a warm day out so we looked forward to taking a refreshing dip but we turned straight around the second we opened the doors leading in.

Although the building looks old from the outside, the interior was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The bathroom had clearly been renovated, and the room itself was quite spacious, which made the stay more relaxing.

I was assigned a ground-floor room with a window and door facing the parking lot. It didn’t feel very private, as people and cars were constantly passing by. The sound insulation was also poor, so I could hear noise from outside and neighboring rooms.

We loved the location and how easy the staff were to work with. The room was clean and comfortable and was exactly what we needed.

The climate control unit didn't seem to be working properly. We were able to open the window to cool the room down to a more comfortable temperature. As someone with basic straight, long hair, I was disappointed that there was only a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. It didn't work great to condition my hair so it tangled easily throughout the day. I prefer separate products.

I like how spacious the room and the bathroom were. It was clean and well kept.

I booked my room through Booking.com and requested a ground floor room, which wasn't an issue, but then we were charged $40 extra for that request. They have to take into consideration that people have health issues and the ground floor is more convenient to them. We stayed at 3 difference hotels with the same request during the week and we weren't charged extra in the other places. Then we got charged $25 for our little dog, so it became quite pricey for a one night stay with no breakfast included. Also, next to us, outside, there were a couple of guys in their car blasting their music while smoking dope and drinking in the car and I guess the driver was sleeping in his car all night as he was still parked there in the morning. So it wasn't a very quiet night unfortunately.

There were a few Gluten-free breakfast options (baked beans, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurt). I am keto so could only eat the boiled eggs but I was glad they were there. They had paprika (along with salt and pepper) for the eggs which was a nice touch. Wish more hotels and restaurants would find ways to do more truly keto items as many people are on the diet for health reasons (not just a personal choice); many guests will be looking for these items. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Location was very convenient.

I had asked about breakfast (eggs/meat) ahead of my arrival and never heard back from the hotel ... I wasn't sure going if I would be able to eat anything at breakfast so it would have been nice to know ahead of time.
