The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room, although dated, was very clean. Despite being in a room next to the elevator, we were not disturbed by elevator noise at all during the night. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate. We were able to warm up our dinner in the room, which also had a small dining table.

The wifi was unsecured, and without security certificates, so i did not use it. The property overall, is in need of some refreshing. There was an odd assortment of crockery and cutlery available for use, but only 1 fork, however the staff happily provided us with some additional (wooden) forks.

The room was a great size, location was perfect. Close to everything eg. Bridge to halifax, shopping,restaurants. Staff was so accommodating and friendly. Stayed for a week was no breakfast because of Covid but was lots of snacks, yogurt, juice, muffins. Ended up being a bit more expensive buying breakfast everyday. Hopefully things go back to normal soon. Beds could have been more comfortable but did the trick. I liked the fact that they had a stove and oven I the room which you never see but they had no pans to cook had to borrow some from my family but it worked out perfect. Got to cook lobster in my room.. Now that's a Nova Scotia Vacay 😁👍.

Housekeeping staff need more help the 2 ladies I saw appeared to be very exhausted and couldnt keep up thier housekeeping duties. I asked for my room to be cleaned only 3 times in the 9 days I was there and it was only cleaned once my bathroom and my floors were left very dirty and bed wasn't made. I left a tip on the bed all times and it was still there which means they did not walk through the room except in the entrance where they only grabbed my garbage. The bed pillows were very bumpy and uncomfortable. They could definitely use an upgraded new cleaning staff. I was a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Holiday Inn for 5 years and these ladies definitely would not have made the cut anymore for their position. The hotel is perfect but with poor staff can make quality drop.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We haven’t experienced this kind of warm, gracious friendly service before. the staff made a point to learn our names, and we chatted a lot, it felt like we knew them for years. They gave us advice on how to save money, suggestions on where to eat which was 100% on point, they gave us the best advice. Their breakfast was good, its simple breakfast but nothing to complain about, loved their coffee and they have a wonderful assortment of bagels, juices, muffins and cereals. Everything we like. honestly the staff was too notch, it was clean, we LOVED our room. I give it 10/10 definitely our new favourite place!

I liked that breakfast was included with room rate. I also like that our room had a kitchenette, which would have been great for a longer stay. It's always handy to have a little fridge in the room. I was staying for surgery at that time so I would have enjoyed everything a whole lot more if I was just visiting. I liked having a dispensing machine close to my room; #105

Would have been lots more welcoming for us if the person on check in on September 18th was a little more patient and nice than he was.

Friendly receptionists and helpful staff, location is near downtown and bridges, room was comfortable, the accommodation was nice and quiet due to the location, the room had fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, lots of dishes and utensils including dish detergent, access to a business center room, access to a small gym and a laundry room, and for the value of everything included; the price can't be beat!

Bathroom cleanliness, dust in closet top shelf and kitchenette cabinets, basic continental breakfast, and could use more lighting in the room.

the staff is great! so friendly and helpful. they should get a raise! they were all little gems but my favourite is Wendy 😊 The rooms have little equipped kitchens. microwave, fridge, burners… there is a restaurant 2 minutes walk and also the bus stop 51 right in front! they are super flexible with the time to checkout. if you like to walk it will take you 40 minutes to arrive at the ferry terminal.

old building and some renovations should be considered but very clean so that’s what really matters to me. the breakfast is really basic. maybe some fruits ?

Very good value for your money. Staff was great. Breakfast was nice and was included. The room was pretty nice especially for the price. Parking was free and the location was very good. Easy to get anywhere you wanted to go

The room could have been a little cleaner. I was there for a week and I had to ask to have my room cleaned. When they did come to clean they did very little.

The staff was fantastic and so accommodating. The price was reasonable and it was a motel. It was clean, easy access and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean our room was. The continental breakfast was decent-- it's a free breakfast with coffee/tea, toast, bagels, yogurt, juice, fruit, cereal and oatmeal. It is what you expect for a continental. Dining area was clean and it had lots of room. I would use them again.

Spacious room, very quiet. Well appointed. Useful kitchenette, though only used the coffee-maker and microwave oven. Good location on Windmill Road - convenient for Alderney Landing. Excellent Pizza from Robert's on the opposite side of the road.

Some staff on the front desk not particularly welcoming. Twice had to go to the desk because the door entry card failed and had to be reset. Never an apology.

Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was limited for choice and everything has to be eaten on paper plates and dishes with wooden spoons, but that seems to be the norm for Canadian Inns and motels. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Being used to good UK breakfasts, the Canadian ones in motels are limited. Wooden cutlery, paper bowls and dishes. Limited choices for most buffet items.
