We stayed there for my daughters 19th birthday, The room was amazing (facing the waterfront) and the location was perfect (right in between a great bar and the Casino with many food options around). But most importantly...when we arrived to our room, the staff had left a 19th birthday basket as a gift for my daughter which was so thoughtful and kind, and house keeping sent up a free bottle of wine. You guys all made her birthday the most special ever and we couldn't be more thankful to you. We will definitely stay again!

Great location. Super friendly staff. Great to have bathrobes too. Comfortable bed and very spacious room. Had an angled view of Halifax Harbor. High-end shampoo, conditioner, etc were a plus. ,

My new pet peeve is that a room booked for 2 should have 2 luggage racks...it has 2 bathrobes so the assumption is that 2 people will be there. Option is to use the desk or ironing board, especially now that most suitcases open side by side. Would also have liked hooks or towel racks in the bathroom

I was greeted with exceptionally professional, friendly, and caring ladies at the front desk, who took extra time to find a room for me that was on a lower level (I hate elevators), but also away from the side of the building that had a live band outside of it that night. They were friendly, warm, and terrific. Additionally, the location is fantastic - right on the boardwalk, so that we just exited the building and had access to the fantastic Halifax boardwalk. I would 1000% stay here and visit again.

This is a great hotel if you are only staying in Halifax area and close to the airport. The waterfront area is accessible with great restaurants, boat tours, farmer's market, etc. The hotel dining room staff was exceptional. We ate at Five Fisherman, Salty and another outdoor bar restaurant at the waterfront. Food was exceptional everywhere. There are plenty of places to sit and read on the boardwalk which was nice while enjoying the water views. Had one room service meal was great.

We rented a car and getting out of Halifax traffic was a bit tedious every day. So much construction and narrow roads getting out of the city. We could only do a few hour day trips. We'll have to come back to see the northern and southern tips of Nova Scotia. In addition, the refrigerator in our room was quite noisy while sleeping; however, the AC was on and blocked the noise. We had a coffee maker that did not work but was promptly replaced.

I love everything about this hotel - location is fantastic, it’s very clean, extremely comfortable bed, wonderful staff, parking on site, coffee shop and restaurants on premises… I just love it. It’s my favourite place to stay in Halifax. I wish I didn’t have to leave.

The cost is getting quite high and may soon be unaffordable for me, but it will alway be my favourite place to stay in Halifax.

From the minute we approached the desk to check in until the moment we checked out, the service was absolutely amazing! Always a smile and such willingness to help. We thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of the beautiful pool and hot tub. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of it, it literally invited us right in! :) Can't wait for the next visit!

About the only thing I didn't really like was the cost of the parking. I know it's expensive to run hotels, but when a person pays that much for a one night stay, having the parking comped would have made the experience even better.

We really loved the location and walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The ladies at the front desk were incredible. They were both so friendly and welcoming and honestly we new from just checking in that we were going to have a wonderful weekend. We couldn't help but notice that every time we were in the lobby that the staff was always smiling and saying hello. It was my fifth night in two weeks staying here and i am thinking about staying again on February 29th for a night if its a good price.

Its a very pricey place to stay and the parking is expensive.

We stayed there to go to the casino, however the casino was noisy and all the machines were changed to mostly penny machines, a couple of 25 Cent ones nothing big. It used to be a nice casino but now we did not like the machines. Had something to eat in one of the many restaurants. The room was excellent, had a view of the harbour, comforters, very clean, had a fridge with water in it but we had brought our own bottles of water. It was quiet and peaceful which we liked.

The casino machines had changed so much since the last time we were there, We could not find one dollar machines, only penny machines with no big wins or it took a lot of pennies from 40,80, and up etc.. The hotel was excellent.

Great location! Clean, modern room with excellent shower, bed and linens. Excellent restaurant/bar with great service.

Every hotel with a pool/hot tub should have a bathing suit dryer. I used one at a public rec centre in Nanaimo last March and don’t understand why every place with a pool doesn’t have one. Also, no steam room. 🙁

We sent our parents here for their 50th anniversary and the hotel and their staff were out of this world fantastic. They upgraded their room with a harbour view, provided a welcome basket, and followed up with daily treats, and even a cake!! Thank you kindly Marriott Harbourfront Halifax, you are first class :).
