The location was spectacular and we were in one of the premium penthouse suites with a view of the ocean, which was fantastic even in the colder weather. The noise was not too bad at all, we didn't hear anyone once we were back in the room. The check-in was easy, just follow the email instructions and it's very simple. One code for the door and one for your room. Overall, fantastic!

The only criticism I have is there's REALLY no place to park, not even to unload your car. We weren't expecting to leave our car in downtown, but the website mentioned there was somewhere to park right outside to get your stuff, and there really was not. Regardless, there was an easy lot around the corner.

The location was perfect, close to everything we were interested in seeing. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom/shower very good. Very clean. Kitchen well equipped. We were very pleased with the whole apartment. The noise we were warned about from the bar next door was not an issue.

I found the floors to be very cold, even with the heat turned on. Street noise was a bit much at times, but to be expected in the city. The checking in was a little confusing and I didn't enjoy having to wait until 4:00 when we had arrived at 7:30 in the morning and were very tired. An early check in would have been appreciated.

Full size fridge, stove, everything you need in a kitchen!

The street that the hotel is on is a little sketchy. The air conditioning is a roll away style that needed the window open a little and the noise of the traffic and air conditioning was annoying . The concert floor needs more rugs. Need to have food available at this hotel. The code to get in didn't work initally and when I contacted the text person I was told to read the instructions on the wall, didn't feel reasurred about that. In the end we got in. Our ocean view was through a bunch of building making it difficult to see the ocean.

Excellent location and self-serve. No staff or reception desk, it was all app-based. The instructions were easy - my 90- year old mom caught on right away! The apartment was great - spacious and all amenities available for a self-catering stay. Laundry room available which was very helpful. Loads of restaurants within walking distance and the Harbour front just a few blocks away.

The location is behind one of THE LOUDEST BARS in Halifax so if you can’t handle to concert-level noise till 01:30 then this place is not for you!

The location was amazing, and the room was well-appointed and clean. It was fantastic value, and I would definitely come back!

We got lucky, and there was limited exterior nightlife noise during our stay. There was, however, a room adjacent to ours that decided to bring the party into Cameo itself, and I can confirm that there is very little soundproofing between rooms. They luckily wrapped up by 12:30am, but keep in mind that if you stay here over the weekend, you may need to contend with nightlife from The Pint and your hotel neighbours! One other thing is that there is no washroom in the lobby or beyond the first keycode access zone.

Lovely apartment - fantastic set up for a family of four who like to have the possibility to cook breakfast for example. Lovely bathroom, kitchen and living room. Bedrooms were comfortable but were a little hot given the heatwave whereas the main room was lovely and cool with the air conditioner and too noisy outside to open the windows. Thoughtful provision of toiletries and equipment for the kitchen. Very well located. Easy parking just nearby. Check in was smooth and the luggage storage very convenient

Aircon in the bedrooms would have been helpful

Excellent city centre location. No parking or stopping area which was awkward for pick ups and drop offs. We had a studio apartment which was very well appointed, comfortable and nicely decorated. Also a good sized bathroom . The kitchen area was very well equipped. We looked onto Argyll Street which was quiet in February but probably noisy later in the year.check in was online and we had door codes for the front door and our apartment which worked well. The cleaning staff were very helpful, with fresh towels and sheets as needed. Laundry facilities available.

Would be ideal to have a drop off area.

The suite 602 was on the top floor and had a lovely view. We really like the space it provided and the balcony was a lovely place to sit. Shady in the evening so perfect. We also like being able to use the laundry as we are on a 3 week trip and being able to wash meant we could bring less luggage! Overall it was excellent.

The bed is against one wall so not having a bedside table and being able to walk around the bed was a downside but never spoilt our stay.

In the afternoon, there was very loud partying. Not a big deal as it was daytime, but the place is not sound proof. When we got home about 8:00, it was perfectly quiet - partyiers were out- so we were lucky. We joked that we were on the show "Friends" as the decor reminded us of their apartment. We had everything we needed to create snacks and share drinks.

Just the fact that it wasn't sound proof. We could hear every word that the couple in the next apartment were saying. It felt like they were in our room. And they started playing rap music. Not our fav and so loud. It was hard to over-ride, even when we played music. There was one loud bump in the night that woke us all up. Luckily nothing more so people must have passed out. Again, we were lucky.

The location of the Cameo was perfect for us, being older we were soooo glad of the lift. We were on the Barrington Street side which was quiet most nights but was mostly frequented my boy/men racers with very loud exhausts. Maybe they were practicing for the Monte Carlo Grand Prix!!! We even had a very large building crane turn up at 11pm that made an almighty racket until 12.40 am! I don’t think the hotel can be held responsible for external noise and most nights were ok including Saturday night. I think we got off lightly! :)

Apart from the noise which you warned us about. The shower needs a hand rail, although it’s very safe with the non slip mat, thank you. :)
