The attendants at reception were friendly and helpful. Without issue, we were able to store our baggage for 1/2 day before leaving for the airport. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The presence of our car rental agency in the basement of the hotel was very convenient for us. The hotel's location close the Halifax waterfront, with its restaurants, was another positive feature. Overall, the hotel is very good for business clients as well as tourists not too concerned about accommodation costs.

A 'happy hour' promotion for the cocktail bar/lounge would have been nice.

Excellent hotel in downtown Halifax. Very close to everything, including parking, the pier, ferry, superstore. The hotel is a bit outdated but overall it's still a Westin. The rooms are spacious with lots of 'freebies' in the room and bathroom. The beds are comfortable. The ability to open the window was a huge plus for us. Wifi had excellent speeds. We opted for self-parking for $25/day (With in/out privileges), but valet also an option for $40/day. I think there are other parking options nearby. Room service was great too. Overall, no complaints and we had an excellent stay).

The room was large and comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect for anyone traveling by train. It's right in downtown with many restaurants, shops, supermarkets and everything else one could need nearby.

Halifax has a lot of construction, so there was construction noise during our say. However, that would have been the case anywhere we could have stayed. The city is just a noisy place.

Stayed at the 9th floor for 4 days and 3 nights, got a good view, elevator's not scary, feel safe in them ( have a little thing about elevators, sorry), Very helpful staff, housekeeping is on top of their game; they made sure my room was clean every.single.day. Love the complimentary water bottles everyday after every cleaning too!! Breakfast was scrumptious for me, dinner was fantastic as well! Would definitely come back and next time im planning on bring my Parents so they too, could experience what Westin has to offer.

It is not really a dislike but more of a suggestion, although i love the breakfast spread they offer, i felt the options are limited, i would prefer a much bigger variety but over all still a good size breakfast.

Right from check-in everything went very well. The hotel is ideally situated for people arriving in Halifax on VIA's "The Ocean" passenger train. We had two nights in a good room and enjoyed one dinner and two breakfasts in the hotel's lobby restaurant. The food was good and service was exceptional. The non-restaurant staff that we ran into in the lobby and hallways were equally friendly and ready to talk if we had any questions or needed anything.

The food was excellent and they even gifted me a free alcohol drink for my birthday! the food was well prepared and the staff were very accommodating! The sheets, duvet, pillows, towels- everything- was the best of the best! I couldn’t have been more comfortable! The robe was so soft even though it didn't fit perfectly as i am plus size. I had the pancakes for my breakfast and they were easily the best i’ve ever had! Cinnamon apples, Fresh fruit, Coconut whip cream! it was delicious!

The only thing i can say bad is that this hotel is on the pricier side- however once you enter it completely makes sense why. Everything is made nice. Although it is pricier it makes complete sense!

Well-kept hotel, great staff. Perfect room and bathroom. Stayed for 5 days and have no complaints. A special thanks to Lee at the front door, this guy needs a raise, greeted us like long lost relatives and was a wealth of information about restaurants and the city.

Beautiful hotel. We had an 11th floor room facing the harbor. Definitely worth the extra money. So enjoyed seeing all the cruise ships come in on a daily basis. We enjoyed the continental breakfast as well as the breakfast buffet. Nice happy hr at lobby bar. Easy parking in rear and entrance close to elevator. Perfect location to harbor walk & great restaurants. Definitely would stay again.

Queen bed more like a full but thankfully super comfortable..

The room was smaller than we expected, but it had a very comfortable bed. Room service from the onsite restaurant was superb - the best clam chowder I've ever had. The location was perfect, although it was still pretty cold for walking along the boardwalk. This hotel was pricey, however, the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. You definitely felt like a "somebody."

Great service, location and onsite facilities including gym and swimming pool. The food is fantastic including room service and the staff are attentive and polite. I had a great stay with a beautiful room overlooking the harbour. The beds are super soft resulting in a great nights sleep. Exceptional all round.
