Location Good since downtown Halifax is small Large cozy room with refrigerator, firm and good bed. Ideal mattress, neither hard nor soft. Staff OK Good shower Breakfast I didn't try it. It consists of a basket with cold and ready-made items. I think it's unnecessary because supermarkets in Canada are excellent and it would only make sense if they had hot food made to order. The reception has tea and coffee. I don't consider this a shortcoming of the hotel, as there probably isn't enough space for a kitchen. Noise There's no noise from outside I didn't hear anything from the neighboring rooms. But the room was close to the reception and during the day you can hear all the conversations in the reception. Luckily, the ones I heard were during the day

This is an historic hotel, comprising of 3 adjacent buildings. As with old buildings, there is no lift and many steps and stairs. Our third floor room also had restricted headroom. The breakfast offering is rather odd; a preordered box with your specified items. We chose to take breakfast in a local cabin, this was popular with locals. The location of the hotel is ideal for the downtown area, the waterfront , museum and citadel. A number of places to eat are located within walking distance.

The history of the place, wonderfully preserved in the elegant decor and furnishings. The service was impeccable, the staff always ready to answer any questions or requests, professional and friendly. The very generous breakfast you can decide to have the night before 10 pm, to eat in or to be boxed in. The delightful patio and the easy parking in the back. And the amazing location close to the waterfront, the Maritime Museum and the Canadian Museum of immigration, market, downtown restaurants, bus to the airport etc...

Our room was very big and sunny and lovely, but the bathroom could use some upgrading.

This is our second stay at The Halliburton and I would highly recommend the property. We received a room upgrade and our suite was lovely. Furnished with art and antique furniture in keeping with the property's history. The location is excellent. Close to the harbour and boardwalk, as well as other historical and modern areas of central Halifax. A walk to the Citadel took under 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The bathroom is lovely and there's good storage but not there could be more counter space for grooming.

This was my second time staying at The Hallburton and I had a good experience both times. Staying at this hotel is like staying at a friends house or a B&B - the rooms feel homey and so does the building itself. Rooms are very clean. Having a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning in the library room with the fireplace is lovely. The location is great and is a fairly close walk to the waterfront as well as most other places downtown. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was upgraded which I really appreciated.

Decor is a bit dated but does not take away from the cleanliness of the hotel or rooms. It also kind of adds to the character of the inn.

The location is great for access to the wharf and downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. It is generally a nice inn. We were on the third floor and the staff was very helpful assisting with our luggage.

The breakfast offering was meager for the price so we opted not to have it but to go out. The facility is in 3 separate buildings which share a courtyard. The coffee and all was in a separate building so not convenient for us. The Kuerig in the room did not m make very good coffee.

Hotel in the centre of Halifax close to the boardwalk and harbourfront. Wonderful atmosphere superb room. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

It’s not fair to say this really, but there is no food other than a breakfast box which you have to order before 10 pm so you will have to eat locally where there are many choices. A small comment that might be useful to the property is that on the amazing bed there are four lovely pillows. To my taste, they were just a little on the hard side so it might be useful for the property to change two of them to be softer and leave leave the other two. For example, my wife likes a harder pillow, and I like soft. very picky and this does not detract from the property in any way at all. If they change none of the above, I would still give this 10 out of 10.

It feels homey . As a solo traveller it is nice to come back decompress in a sitting area . If you want privacy there are so many nooks and crannies even an outdoor deck . Free parking!!!!! It is located walking distance to the waterfront and museum of immigration ( worth a visit) . Breakfast for 15 dollars is a choice - the yogurt is excellent. Room is beautiful. Nice that it is not a chain owned by a local - lovely boutique hotel .

We had a very pleasant stay at this property, love the outside garden back behind the property. Had a wine in the evening before going out to dinner. Lovely touch. Also impressed with the general fit out of the property. Felt special staying there. Able to have a wide choice of restaurants and the little convenience store was able to meet out needs. Parking was ideal and felt good to be able to leave the car and move around the city on foot.

Would like a map in the room noting the convenience stores and locations generally of restaurants.

Breakfast was very nice. Check in easy and they helped us carry our bags up the two flights of steps. The upgrade to one bedroom was unexpected and lovely. Nice garden out back as well as small roof patio. Room was large, super clean, nice furniture, comfy bed and pillows. Fridge in room as well as coffee pot. Free coffee in lobby. Lots of places to eat close by. Super nice and very handy to budget car rental and the via train station.

Only thing better would have been if there was elevator but we knew in advance there was none.
