Huge room well appointed with cozy robes too! Would have booked for one more night if available . The restaurant adjacent to our rooms was fabulous . The service and food surpassed any meal before or after on our 2 week road trip from Ottawa and back.

There was a keycode box by the front door BUT we weren’t given a code with our reservation. We arrived late (7:30 pm). We gained entrance only when other tenants told us that the door was unlocked & that the key to our room was hanging in the entrance. We never did see any hotel employee.

We loved our stay - the best part was dealing with Hannah and the staff downstairs at Betty's. The food was always spot on. Our room worked out just fine for us to do a little work too.

The stairs to get to all the rooms are very steep. While I loved being there the stairs may prevent us from coming back just out of necessity after dragging luggage and briefcases up and down them. Otherwise, I can't image staying anywhere else in Mahone Bay - and we will make a point of coming back.

Very cute room with awesome decor. The room was also super quiet, even with the neighbour's barking dogs; they sounded very muffled. The room was very very clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect too! Just a few doors down was and NSLC within walking distance, but the restaurant, Betty's has a very large wine list if you don't feel like walking that far. We also had dinner at Betty's and it was incredible. Wood fire oven pizza, a baked brie and a half baked chocolate chip cookie with a glass of wine on the side and we were in heaven. If you go, I recommend the pizza with buffalo sauce. It wasn't spicy, but very rich in flavour and easily our favourite! The staff was also super friendly and easy to talk too and very kind. The environment was cozy and romantic too. 10/10 would both stay at the Kitch'inn and eat at Betty's again!

We had a good time all around! My only comment would be for traveller's who have difficulty with stairs, from what I could tell, it seems all the rooms are up a flight of stairs, so keep that in mind when making your booking. We enjoyed the views personally!

Beautiful historic and character-filled home on scenic, quiet Hermans Island, 10 minute drive from Mahone Bay and 15 from Lunenburg. It was an ideal stay for our family gathering (extra appreciated that it was dog friendly). The house was much more spacious than expected based on the photos. We enjoyed watching the sailboats, birds, and deer from the porch and backyard, and making big meals in the modern kitchen. Note that the “abandoned pool” referenced in some older reviews has been removed and landscaped over. Would return.

There were a few items missing from the kitchen, so if you’re self catering, plan ahead and pack accordingly.

The place was lovely. It only has three rooms, but the one I stayed in was very clean and comfortable and well put together. There was coffee and snacks in the room, the shower was hot and had great pressure, and the owner Danielle was very nice and helpful. There is a pizza place on the same property, which I did not try, but I could smell it and it smelled like it was probably good! Also I had my bike with me, and Danielle let me put it in her garage overnight.

The check in is not until 4 pm, which is a little late, and I did request an early arrival through Booking, but only got a form email back saying that the property would assess early check in when I arrived. However, when I arrived at 3 pm, there was nobody there and no instructions on what I was supposed to do (it is a self check in, but this was not made clear to me beforehand). It would have been nice for the form email to either say that early check in was strictly not available, or give instructions that my key would be left in a certain location and I could check in, or give instructions to call someone when I arrived. I was left feeling a little confused as to what I was supposed to do when I arrived.

It’s the perfect place to stay in Mahone Bay - close enough to the historic town of Lunenberg for an easy day trip and far enough away to miss the hordes of tourists. The Kitch’inn had everything we needed for a relaxing stay - a grill, comfortable bed, great restaurant a step away and even wine and spirits store right across the street! Loved all the hiking trails close by and the amazing scenery. We even stayed an extra day thanks to our accomadating host. I can’t say enough good things about this sweet spot in a beautiful town slightly off the beaten path!!

Fantastic Inn with really easy check-in/ check-out. Lovely room, furnished according to a theme to a T. This inn is in walking distance to the town center with opportunities for shopping and eating. It is also perfectly located for day trips to Lunenburg and other areas. Unfortunately, we didn't eat the food in the inn, but it always smelled delicious, but we had a cocktail in the little garden one night and it was amazing.

Location was very close to downtown Mahone Bay. There is free parking. Very small inn. No elevator. Suites are all on the 2nd floor. Restaurant is next to the inn.

No elevator so if you have a heavy suitcase, you need to carry it up 1 flight of stairs. Shower was low flow water. Door to suite is opened by old fashioned key not key card.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the minimalistic way. We had everything we needed: air conditioning, a fridge, a bathroom and a bed. Everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. It's self check-in, so we received clear instructions on how to access the building and our room. Self check-out was easy as well. We really enjoyed our stay and we regret we only stood for one night.

The water pressure in the shower was too poor. :(

We had a wonderful two night stay at Kitch'inn which was a great base for exploring beautiful Mahone Bay and nearby Lunenburg. Our "Taco Room" was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We LOVED the wine bar downstairs - especially the delicious woodfired pizza. Yummo! And the fabulous musician on Saturday night. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back again the following night and tried the camembert baked in the woodfired oven - delish. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Loved that we could self check in and out.
