It's a very picturesque location and it's nice and quiet. Great for getting some peaceful rest. Overall I would recommend staying here. But pick one of the cottages down by the water. It will be worth the extra price. We will explore the property even more next time.

The lights in the hallway outside the room we stayed in are extremely bright at night and illuminate the room through the door and window. It's far too bright for sleeping. Thank goodness we brought a blackout sheet to put over the window. But we still had to use the bed runners for the window on the door. If they were on a motion sensor, it would help a lot.

Restaurant served spectacular meals every dinner we ate there. Once we ate there, we kept eating there as the food was so good. The steak was so good my wife had it twice. The lamb was the best I have ever eaten, so tender that it was served with a bread knife as nothing heavier was necessary. Vegetables cooked with just the right amount tenderness.

When we arrived, the TV in our room was not working. Staff quickly moved us to another room where everything was good. Next day however the second room's TV failed. I believe the network was satellite which can be chronically undependable when snow covers the dishes.

I liked the view of the lake, and you can tell it used to be a very beautiful place. The room was nice, and I didn’t expect it to have two levels, which was a pleasant surprise.

However, the place feels a bit neglected. I booked it expecting the hot tub to be larger and located outside—not in the bathroom—as shown in the photo. The room didn’t look like the one in the pictures. The TVs didn’t work, they couldn’t connect to the internet, and there were no public channels or anything else to watch, just the sea to look at.

We stayed at the resort on a Thanksgiving Day. The rooms was very nice with a little kitchen where meals could be cooked. We turned on heat as it was a cold evening when we arrived and the room heated up very quickly. Beds were a bit soft but comfortable. We had a good sleep. We ate breakfast at the resort restaurant. Fried eggs with potatoes and bacon (they do not make omelets).

The receptionist at check in was very polite and had a very friendly disposition The room we rented was GREAT and SUPER clean..It had everything we needed. The Restaurant was AMAZING right on the water, super clean, friendly staff and food pretty good

All good....maybe parking could be more detailed as to where to park ...for our unit...

The tropical salad and the butternut squash soup were excellent!

I was very disappointed to see OCTOPUS on the menu! The octopus is one of the top seven most intelligent species on Earth! Please inform yourself about these awesome creatures that we humans have no right to kill and eat, and reconsider their presence on your menu.

It’s the second time we stay for a night, and we love it! Quiet, big room and this time we booked for a king size bed and a jacuzzi and it was perfect! Beautiful view to the sand banks by the beach! If you like stars, it’s comparing to the desert with no light, we never seen a sky with so many stars… Millions and more 😃

No breakfast included. Gorgeous grounds. Lovely staff. Comfy room and enjoyed the jet tub.

The gas fireplace was lovely, but set at too high a heat. The room was so hot, we had to turn on the air conditioner to counter it. We set the thermostat as low as possible, but it was still too hot.

The location was good. The restaurant was excellent, but rather expensive. The room was pleasant, clean, and functional. The bathroom was immaculate.

We asked for a change of room , as I have limited mobility and going up the stairs was difficult with a cane. The bed was very hard.

Very spacious and well furnished lodge with a fireplace. Had a very good meal at the restaurant. Close car ride to Picton and Sandbanks.

Sure, the furniture and overall installations are a bit dated, but honestly everything was functional and made for a comfortable stay.
